Pogba and Rashford start in United’s Double Gameweek 35 opener

Everton v Manchester United is the first of three Premier League matches to take place on Sunday afternoon. Kick-off at Goodison Park is at 13:30 BST.

There were few shocks upon the release of the two teamsheets, with Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard demoted to the United bench after less-than-impressive performances against Barcelona in midweek.

Paul Pogba starts his 17th Premier League match in a row under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku forming the visitors’ front three.

We’ll likely see one of Victor Lindelof or Phil Jones at full-back again given that Young is among the substitutes and Luke Shaw is suspended.

Alexis Sanchez is also on the bench for the Red Devils.

Everton’s two changes were widely expected, with Michael Keane returning at centre-half in place of Phil Jagielka and the fit-again Morgan Schneiderlin stepping in for the suspended Andre Gomes in midfield.

Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard will once again be providing support for Dominic Calvert-Lewin in attack.

Manchester United are without a clean sheet since Gameweek 27, while Everton have five in that time. Manchester City are the only Premier League side to have registered more shut-outs than the Toffees this calendar year.

United were 2-1 winners in the reverse fixture of today’s match.

Pogba bagged a goal and assist but also saw a penalty saved by Jordan Pickford, who walked away with three bonus points despite conceding on two occasions.

Richarlison and Sigurdsson combined for Everton’s goal that day and those two FPL midfielders, who were each sold by over 100,000 managers in the run-up to Gameweek 35, have 30 attacking returns between them in 2018/19.

Everton XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford, Coleman, Keane, Zouma, Digne, Schneiderlin, Gueye, Sigurdsson, Bernard, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.

Manchester United XI (4-3-3): De Gea, Lindelof, Smalling, Jones, Dalot, Matic, Fred, Pogba, Rashford, Lukaku, Martial.

Bournemouth score 5 past Brighton away, lose to Fulham at home next week

Everton lose 2-0 to Fulham, then 2-0 up against United at half time

    Got to love PL

Thats the main differwnce between othwr leagues.
In some leagues, you can align a second team against some and still win.

Overrated teams tbh. Can't beat Fulham but goes on to score 2 easy goals against United.

City and Pool the only 2 teams who showed consistency.

The hype of a DGW seems to have hurt a lot of managers. People (myself included) who removed BHA defenders for hits have been punished. Likewise taking big hits to remove players like Siggy, Vardy etc. is always dangerous. Lesson is to remain patient despite a poor previous GW. Mark Sutherns preaches this

Spot on. DGW's have been absolutely trash this season, at least for me. Have done way better in SGW's.

Easy to analyse it after it happens. Been times it has paid off. Certainly been a disaster for me this week but pre deadline, I was reasonably happy. Always happier regretting changes I did decide than regret moves I never.

Imagine getting 97 points and still not winning the league, that must hurt. Do you guys think City will fall in any of the upcoming matches? On paper they all look possible to win.

Only the Utd game looks dangerous IMO. Looks easy on paper, especially watching Utd today, but motivation is a big thing and there will be motivation to stop City on Wednesday.

This could work for Utd if they sign a new RB. Sanchez needs to either accommodate and play on the right or be left to rot in the reserves. If he wants to rot, let him and buy a new RM.

Is Ole the right man for Utd? Suppose only time will tell but think the board has no choice to employ him after his run of results mainly against teams at the bottom and that last minute champions league win.

I think nobody can make this lot play well, and Ole should get a chance to make transfers before judged

He's been confirmed too soon imo. Once confirmed he started deploying Mou tactics and found a way to look crap.

I don't get why Pochettino would want Man U?

I can sense a dive and a Pogba penalty.

Will happen in the 63rd minute.

Ole winning the games temporarily was the worst possible thing that has happened to United. No way he should have been given the job. Like van gal said, he was just winning the matches with same footbal with which united were not winning with previous managers. Pochhetino was the one that should have hired after this season. Can't trust ole with the budget united are planning to spend this transfer window.

Zidane was obviously being lined up. No surprise he suddenly returned to Real just after Ole got the full time role.

                        Utd missed out there massively...
