Sane joins Sterling and Aguero in the City attack at Turf Moor

The penultimate match of Gameweek 36 takes place at Turf Moor as Manchester City aim to extend their 11-match winning run and return to the top of the Premier League table.

Kick-off in Lancashire is at 14:05 BST.

There are no huge shocks in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI, with Fernandinho not recovering from the knee problem he picked up in midweek.

Bernardo Silva has thus dropped back into central midfield alongside David Silva and anchor Ilkay Gundogan, so Leroy Sane is handed a start on the left flank.

Raheem Sterling moves over to the right wing, with Sergio Aguero leading the line once more.

City’s back four is unchanged.

Sean Dyche has named the same starting XI for the fourth game in succession, with Phil Bardsley still not having recovered from a gashed leg.

The Burnley manager has resisted the urge to pack his midfield and defence for the visit of the reigning champions, pairing Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes in attack for the 17th league match in a row.

Outside of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, Aguero and Sterling were the two most-popular Triple Captain choices of Gameweek 36: 14,542 managers backed the Argetinean striker, with 8,997 deploying the chip on Sterling.

Bernardo was the second-most-bought FPL player of Gameweek 36, having been transferred in by 146,541 Fantasy bosses.

Aguero and Aymeric Laporte were also bought by over 100,000 FPL managers this week.

Burnley XI: Heaton, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor, Hendrick, Cork, Westwood, McNeil, Wood, Barnes.

Subs: Hart, Gudmundsson, Gibson, Ward, Vydra, Long, Driscoll-Glennon.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Bernardo, Silva, Sterling, Sane, Aguero.

Subs: Muric, Danilo, Stones, Mahrez, Otamendi, Jesus, Foden.

Excited to see how Sané plays. I know Fernandinho is out but can’t think of a more explosive differential these last 2 weeks than Leroy

Plan was always to lose Vardy (mci, CHE) for Rashford (hud, CAR). Should i stick to the plan?

    A) keep Vardy
    B) get Rashford

Vardy - 2 goals and max BAPS.

Bodes well for Leicester next season if they can sign Tielemens permanently.

I thought this too. But because he has been playing at lower leagues for so long I do wonder whether he has a bit more left in him than others (e.g. Rooney). Hasn't burnt out his body young so still has something left to give.

Yeah, I think he looks after himself well, unlike players like Rooney. Look at Cristiano, still an amazing athlete at 34/35. Vardy is fitter than Roo at his age.

Rooney is an enigma, never was fit and usually on vacation he seems like he gained weight but he never lost his pace.

I'm praying we do! If we get two new centre backs (Maguire will probably go) and another good forward then we could have a really good season.

You have signed the right type of attacking players. Ones who look to play the ball forward early from midfield. Spurs have a few of those in Winks and Eriksen, but Barnes, Maddison and Tielemens are good finds.

Need to get more out of Gray though IMO. Needs to be more like Sterling.

Yes - good point about getting the ball forward quickly. Gray has been disappointing for me - so much potential but yet to realise it.
PS Maguire was a great steal too, but I'd expect him to go. (nothing more than a gut feeling)

    Vardy as if.

That's what does my head in about him, always seems to get 90 minutes.
Other strikers would have already been subbed before first goal

fitness is not defined by age, its defined by attitude

when i was 32, i was fitter than most 20s

Yeah, but at 32 you will never have the legs of a 20 year old. This fitness I am talking about is especially for footballers as the game has a lot to do with mobile/quick feets.

25 points behind in my mini league. Any suggestions on what to do?

My team for next week (pre transfers):
    Foster
    Trippier | TAA | Doherty
    Salah | Mane | Son | Moura | JWP
    Aguero | Jiménez

His team for next week (pre transfers):
    Leno
    Laporte | VVD | Doherty
    Salah | Jota | Eriksen | Son
    Aguero | Jiménez | Rashford
