FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 37

Fantasy managers can now bring their end-of-season dilemmas to another Question Time panel.

With just two Gameweeks left of the 2018/19 season, many are looking to dot the Is and cross the Ts of their campaigns.

Meanwhile, others are hoping to soar up the rankings with one last desperate punt.

To help you with your plans, we’ve assembled three minds to answer your questions…

Who’s on the panel this week?

Ben McNair – One of Australia’s most well-known Fantasy managers with four top 5k finishes in his FPL career.

Holly Shand – Founder of Fantasy Football Community and a regular FPL Show guest. Currently ranked inside the top 5k ahead of Gameweek 37.

Zoumas Bloomers – One of our moderators on the site with two top 10k finishes in the last three seasons and currently ranked 22k ahead of Gameweek 37.

    Being chased in my mini league by someone who’s 26 points behind and has Salah and Wilson (I have neither), but no Sterling. So do I go for:

    A) Sterling, Eriksen, Gray -> Salah, Gundogan, Wilson (-4)

    B) Eriksen, Gray -> B Silva, Rashford (free)

        Vardy brace and a worldie from Tielemans to steal the 3pts.

        Then I'll be beaming:
        Aguero(c) haul? Check.
        Vardy haul? Check.
        Laporte >1pt? Check.
        City drop points? Check! 😆

        Imagine if this actually happens, no matter how unlikely.

    Which moves for free?

    a) Dunk+Eriksen to PVA+Bilva
    b) Eriksen+Son to Hazard+Mili
    c) Eriksen+JWP to Bilva+Mili.

      Head says B but I'd be kinda reluctant to lose Son as well as Eriksen (I'm keeping the Korean).

      A could be massively differential. I think I'd wanna keep JWP for GW38.

      Agree with what Rainer said on last page about it.

      I think he needs a rest the way he's been playing recently, but it's more a question of who do they start in his absence?

    Soooo. Is anyone actually keeping Eriksen?

    Do you already have at least 3 from Haz, Pogba, Sterling, Son and a LIV mid? (I ask because the first 3 are who I see most people replacing him with, and the latter 2 seem to be a staple in most teams otherwise)

    Those of us with only Son from Spurs mids and no Haz or Sterling (but have Kun). What is the plan?!

    Just stick as Son will def play and needs to perform or forget him and drop for Haz or Sterlinho?

    Either move would require moving Firmino on to fund it

      Real tough one. See how Haz gets on re minutes in EL on Thursday, too, but I'd be tempted to keep Son if I'm honest. I'm leaning towards getting Hazard over Sterling as I can afford that w/o losing Vardy (as below)

      WYR (at this point)

      A) Erik Vardy --> Sterling 7.4 (Rashford/Zaha...)
      B) Erik Duffy --> Hazard Kelly(3.9 CRY def, bench)

      Either way I think I'm keeping Son and (C) Aguero

    A) play conservatively and make transfers to block

    B) bring in differentials that could do well (e.g Hazard)

    Why on Earth do people keep saying Hazard will play his last game at Stamford Bridge this weekend?

    He plays again at the Bridge for Europa League 2nd Leg.

    (Not that he is not a decent option vs. the Watford defence.)

        I'm sure the desire is that he puts in a great 'last' performance at the Bridge.

        It's just a bit of a flawed argument considering it won't be his actual 'last' one. I doubt the distinction between PL/EL means -that- much to Hazard.
