Aubameyang and Lacazette start as Kolasinac benched again

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has gone big up front once again as he starts both of his key strikers for Sunday’s clash with Brighton.

That means both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.8m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.4m) are in the starting line-up together for a second match in a row.

In fact, they have been paired from the start in each of the last three in all competitions, including Thursday night’s win over Valencia.

With Brighton’s troubles in front of goal recently, there is also plenty of interest in Arsenal’s defence.

However, Sead Kolasinac‘s (£5.0m) involvement in the Europa League has cost him a place in the Premier League side today.

He drops to the bench for the second time in three domestic matches, with Nacho Monreal (£5.4m) occupying the left-back spot.

After coming off on Thursday night, Laurent Koscielny (£5.4m) is fit enough only for the bench with Sokratis Papastathoupolos (£5.1m) and Shkodran Mustafi (£5.4m) paired at centre-back.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles‘ (£4.4m) suspension means that Stephan Lichtsteiner (£4.5m) gets his first start since Gameweek 27.

Glenn Murray (£6.1m) leads the Brighton line this afternoon, flanked by the returning Alirez Jahanbakhsh (£6.7m) and Solly March (£4.7m).

Arsenal XI: Leno; Lichtsteiner, Mustafi, Sokratis, Monreal; Torreira, Xhaka; Mkhitaryan, Özil; Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Brighton XI: Ryan; Bruno, Duffy, Dunk, Bernardo; Groß, Stephens, Bissouma; Jahanbakhsh, Murray, March.

Think he will do well. Players don't always make the step up but 29 goals is a fantastic season. Would expect 10+ goals from him next year

Yeah I think the general rule is you can half their returns at best. Seems to be a good rule with Jota and Maddison this year.
Means he could get 14 goals, 4 assists. Great 3rd striker option maybe

They are likely to play on the counter as City will keep ball, will suit the Leicester front players of Vardy, Maddison, Albrighton, can potentially see them maybe getting 1 goal alright.

This is my first full season playing FPL and it's become clearer with every passing GW that if you have a choice between form or fixtures, form usually wins, and that you should only target fixtures for form players/teams.

This is why I avoided Man U players this week (although Pogba was unlucky so I might get him in next week for Soon).

Pogba hit the bar. If that went in... I am considering him in still, but will wait for pressers etc.

Give another example other than the United vs HUD game. Provide some actual evidence for what you are saying.

Was Moura vs HUD for his hattrick a terrible pick? Think most of the top 10 in the world got him in. That was a prime FIXTURE for a player with no FORM

And your last sentence about getting Pogba next week directly contradicts everything else you wrote

        My experience this season:

        1) Bringing in Kane for the Cardiff match who then blanks.
        2) Selling Digne for Pereira who had nice fixtures but plays for a team that can't keep clean sheets. Blanked nearly every week until I sold him.
        3) Keeping Vardy on my WC.
        4) Selling Jimenez who then hauled in consecutive matches against top six opponents. Jimenez is a special case though when it comes to fixtures, although we didn't know it back then.
        4) Pogba hit the bar twice, indicating a glimmer of form against the lesser teams. He's also a shield pick in my ML.

Two assists for hazard is decent. Baps are expected if Hazard returns. Excellent is, a goal and two assists. A goal and Three assist.

It’s nice a roll the dice and go against the grain when you see an opportunity for a low ownership player to outscore the preferred pick. Worked well for me this season. Least the points are on the board now, over to city tomorrow to see what they do. I expect a tough game Leicester have the third best defensive stats behind Utd and City. Brendon got that affiliation to pool to give it some extra meaning.
