June discount on Scout Membership nearly over

The June discount for 2019/20 Fantasy Football Scout memberships for 2019/20 is coming to an end soon.

This year the cheaper price of £12.50 runs only until June 30.

From July 1 onwards the cost of Scout Membership for the new campaign will be £17.50.

This is a £2.50 increase on the usual price of full season Memberships.

Over the years we have made steady improvements to what our Members can enjoy and we will be re-investing back into the site to enhance it further in 2019/20.

However, we recognise the support of our loyal members which is why we ran the usual discounted rate of £12.50 until July 1.

If you’re new to the benefits of Fantasy Football Scout membership, you can get full details, along with a series of movies previewing the content, via this page.

In 2018/19 we published more Members articles than ever before, and plan to produce at least 150 in the 2019/20 campaign.

We also introduced Members only comments and Hot Topics to allow for detailed discussions of content behind the pay-wall.

Our projections and Rate My Team tool have both been tweaked with the former updated more often than in previous seasons.

We are also hugely excited to introduce the brand new Flat-Track Bully feature which allows Members to conduct research in greater detail.

Using this new feature you can customise which matches form part of your tables and comparisons and which do not, based on the opposing team.

This will help you identify players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition, Flat-Track Bullies, or maybe those who thrive against the top teams like Raúl Jiménez did in 2018/19.

We will be releasing other new features when the June discount expires on July 1 so stay tuned on that front.

Last season, we helped Adam Levy to become the reigning Fantasy Premier League champion.

In his recent interview, he said: “I always sign up pre-season for £12.50 as I think that’s good value for the members’ content.”

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our members’ league and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

We are hugely grateful to those who show their support by signing up as a member each season. This continues to enable us to maintain the site, grow the FFS team and develop more ideas.

Members can switch between competitions to mine the data using an array of tables. Our comparison tools for players and teams can also be used to make head-to-head comparisons.

Filters can be applied to take into account only the last two, four and six matches played by a team or player.

Meanwhile, the match dashboard offers analysis of each match, together with charts which plot average positions and our collection of heatmaps for touches, shots, chances created among other statistics.

Members can also create custom tables based on the data and share them with other members.

The most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table which has a hugely successful rate for accurately predicting which underperforming assets will find the net next.

We will be producing a new preview movie highlighting what is available next week.

Our pre-season features begin with access to our members season ticker tool on or around June 13 with the announcement of the Premier League fixtures, with our Rate My Team tool and Player Projections to follow once the Fantasy Premier League player list is confirmed.

Having added new features over the last year – including Expected Goals data and Heatmaps – we’ll also be bringing back our Development Squad updates as we gear up to realise more ideas and bring you more tools to help enhance your Fantasy campaigns.

If you’ve any feedback or suggestions of content that you’d like to see added to the members offering, then please feel free to drop us a line at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Here is one last reminder that memberships are available for just £12.50 during the month of June, but will increase to £17.50 on July 1.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a member here. A full FAQ on our Members area is also available here.

Existing registered users can upgrade via this link. New users, who are yet to get a registered account, can sign up via this link.

Payments can be made through Paypal or via Stripe using debit or credit cards.

Ritchie has to be the best differential this year. If Newcastle get a new manager playing 442 or alike then we have him on the wing scoring and assisting like a winger, taking set pieces and penalties and getting CS points. Oh boy !

He has essentially everything you want in an FPL defender manager depending. More likely than not he will play on the wing this season which I think makes him the best at the price for sure

Except that no one knows who the new Newcastle manager will be, how they will set up or how good they will be defensively yet.

Yeah I know but they have a history of a certain type of manager and with Ashley not going anywhere it seems likely we will get the traditional solid 442

Too heavy in defence and light in attack.

I’d be wary of Mane (and Salah for that matter) hitting the ground running straight away. They won’t have had a preseason
      after Afcon.

      Jorginho is an awful pick.

I’ve got Ings in my team at the moment.

When healthy (and there’s the caveat!) he’s an excellent 3rd striker.

I genuinely wouldn’t waste my time or budget on DCL, who has shown you nothing in 3 seasons to suggest he’s going to be a reliable source of points for you.

Agreed. If Ralph goes for the 4222, Ings could partner Adams up front, and Redmond could move to the wider position. Might be a genius move by FPL to keep Redmond a mid.

I’m doubting AWB - His distribution isn’t all that and it’s probable imo he won’t attract baps with a high tackle and interception rate at United. Spurs defender?

Like Fraser Wilson as a short term call - could become Siggy Giroud later say.

I rate AWB and he'll improve the United defence, but he can't plug the gaping hole in central defence and I can't see them keeping enough clean sheets to make AWB a good FPL asset. At the same price surely you'd go for Coleman, Zinchenko or Gomez if he starts.

Chelsea just lost hazard they don’t want to lose CHO too. Pulisic heavily declined last season and is untested at premier league level. Willian is the set piece taker and most effective winger. I imagine pulisic will be gently eased in but not in it from the start

No keepers likely to play at £4m but you could pair Ryan with Button.

Kelly might get a few starts for Palace at the start of the season as a £4m defender or hope Burnley sell Tarkowski and then Gibson may become a first choice.

Dendoncker looks the best of the £4.5m mids as he became a regular in the second half of the season and scored a couple of goals.

Can’t see any of the £4.5m strikers getting any starts at the start of the season but Nketiah scored on the last day of the season for Arsenal last year so maybe he could get some minutes at some point and Greenwood at United is hotly tipped as well but it’s early days and I wouldn’t expect much yet.

      1. pingissimus
        • 5 Years

I second Dendoncker - given EL I’m expecting Wolves to spread the load a bit.

        Romeu?

Palace have just given Wickham a new contract. Ayew got loads of minutes last season - he might be earmarked for the same role.

Sheffield United aren't even close to Wolves' level of quality. He won't get near Doherty's returns imo.

He could still be good value, but I'm personally reluctant to spend 5.0m for Sheffield United defender, even if he is a wingback.

O'Connell at 4.5m tempts me though. He's an overlapping CB that works with Stevens down the left to create chances. 3 goals, 3 assists last season. In the highlights I watched he was getting very far forward down the left, even getting crosses in.

O’Connell may end up being their best defender in FPL terms, he got a few motm performances last season.

When their fixtures change Norwood could very much come into consideration. Luke Freeman, too, if the buy him from us (QPR).

TAA: 0.0752 points per minute played.
Robbo: 0.06623 points per minute played.
VvD: 0.06147 points per minute played (£0.5m cheaper).

TAA has nailed down the RB spot now, expect him just as many minutes as Robbo, and therefore outscore him. Out-performed him at the end of last season.

He really seemed to fall off second half of last year, maybe only consider him in spurts at his price and have to see how Chelsea play without Hazard imo.

    3. diesel001
      • 7 Years

I can see Alonso coming back into the team now Hazard is gone. Shore up the midfield to provide more defensive cover and get the attacking output of Alonso back up. Something like this would be ideal for Chelsea IMO:

      Kepa
      Azpi Rudiger Zouma Alonso
      Kante RLC Luiz
      Pulisic Giroud CHO

Why Luiz in midfield? Losing Hazard will impact Chelsea's defensive stats because they won't have the ball as much. Luiz has great vision for a pass, but also some level of defensive instinct to protect the back four. Luiz therefore allows Alonso and RLC to get forward.

      The second team is:

      Caballero
      Zappacosta Christensen Ampadu Emerson
      Kovacic Barkley Jorginho
      Pedro Batshuayi Willian

They can sell Drinkwater and Bakayoko. If they want to get rid of others e.g. Batshuayi, Zappacosta then they can replace them with players like Abraham and James.

Whichever of Bournemouth's £4.5m goalkeepers nail down the starting gig should be great value for the first 10 games of the season.

Agreed, but nor has it ever been West Ham's strength - and Fabianski has been a popular pick for many years. Seems they've pushed most starting keepers from established teams up to a minimum of £5m this season. With 10 exceptional fixtures to start the season, I hope it becomes clear who'll take the gloves to start with at Bournemouth.

Plenty of tough games in the first 10. Bournemouth are unpredictable enough to be leaking multiple goals in most of them.

Fab was great because he’s a really good keeper - player of the season at WH. I’m still tempted buy him at 5.0

    Ryan (Fab)
TAA, Coleman, Trippier (el mohamady, Kelly)
    Salah, Siggy, Zaha, Brooks, Barkley
    Kane, Wilson (long)

Could be good value if he stays nailed and Arsenal improve at the back.

But he is 33, as is Monreal, and something tells me Arsenal won't improve at the back. Not worth the risk atm imo.

      "Nailed on"
      17/18: 2225 minutes
      18/19: 1329 minutes
He's less and less capable of starting many matches and has noticeably declined in quality. Not to mention Arsenal can't keep clean sheets to save their lives.

For those who are planning 5 at the back, who will be your 5th defender?

    (2x Liv, Digne, 1x City)+
    Coleman?
    One more city?
    AWB?

Luiz - as good value as Digne imo if he looks nailed

Eying Trippier or Lloris as means of spreading risk and saving 0.5 to a mill over second City

Not a chance, bud. Midfielders have constantly outperformed defenders and attackers in the 12 seasons I’ve played this.

3-5-2 and use cheap 4th and 5th defenders.

It’ll be the same this year. You’ll see

I gave a gut feeling Barkley will be given a lot more freedom under Lamps than he was under sarri. It’s a punt st this stage. Brooks did well last year with 120 odd points from 2200 mins. I like his opening fixtures and im thinking he’ll build on last season and get up to 160-170 pts this year.

If Pog stays, I’m downgrading Shane to Vardy and upgrading Brooks to Pog

Defenders have scored WAY higher that they have in the past since Alonso and now all of Liverpool and Laporte. It's not all about highest individual score when you have 100m and need 11+ players.

Sorry, in my opinion. I just don’t think they’ll get as many cleansheets and hit double figure assists. I may be wrong. But last season’s numbers were unusually high. It will be very difficult for them to reach the same. Liverpool afterLl got the 3rd highest ever points total. I don’t think they’ll be able to produce the consistency to pull that off again.

Nobody notable in the team is declining other than maybe Firmino, who isn't particularly relevant to their defensive stats. I think they'll be the same team with a year's more practice. They're almost guaranteed to be in the 16+ clean sheet range, 20 may be a stretch. They still score a ton of goals and it's mostly all from their wingers who are fed by the full backs so I think there's a decent chance they push on.

You may well be right. I’ll defo have either TAA or Robbo. I just won’t be doubling up as I prefer to invest in big midfielders. That was my point about 3-5-2.

Who do you think will get more attacking returns: Barkley or TAA?

Also starting big at the back doesn’t mean playing it all season. Once big budgets come in - it’s easy enough to switch to more premiun mids. It’s not a life time decision

Good point. Teams and thinking will change. Personally, I think Barkley will score big under Lamps. I’ll probably not start with him because of his fixtures and wait and see how he lines up. But i’m Using him as a 6.5m placeholder

Another aspect is if some want Salah & Mane then only one defender is possible. If they leak a goal here and there, big at the back will soon disappear.

£5m and £4.5m. Then you’ve got options going forward. I’m not a big fan of expensive keepers, but a £6m and £4.0 would only be .5m more so might be worth it

I'm going for Ederson. I don't trust any other Man City defender to be nailed at this stage. Look at the season before, Otamendi was last season's Laporte and he hardly played last season.

Pep has incrementally improved the defence. He's a legend really with his tikka taka background yet yielded heaps of clean sheets. May go LaPorte, Bilva and Kdb so no room for Ederson.
