June discount for Scout membership has expired

The June discount for 2019/20 Fantasy Football Scout memberships for 2019/20 has now expired.

However, you can still sign up for the new season.

From today onwards the cost of Scout Membership for the new campaign will be £17.50.

This is a £2.50 increase on the usual price of full-season Memberships.

Over the years we have made steady improvements to what our Members can enjoy and we will be re-investing back into the site to enhance it further in 2019/20.

However, we recognise the support of our loyal members which is why we ran the usual discounted rate of £12.50 until July 1.

If you’re new to the benefits of Fantasy Football Scout membership, you can get full details, along with a series of movies previewing the content, via this page.

In 2018/19 we published more Members articles than ever before, and plan to produce at least 150 in the 2019/20 campaign.

We also introduced Members only comments and Hot Topics to allow for detailed discussions of content behind the pay-wall.

Our projections and Rate My Team tool have both been tweaked with the former updated more often than in previous seasons.

We are also hugely excited to introduce the brand new Flat-Track Bully feature which allows Members to conduct research in greater detail.

Using this new feature you can customise which matches form part of your tables and comparisons and which do not, based on the opposing team.

This will help you identify players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition, Flat-Track Bullies, or maybe those who thrive against the top teams like Raúl Jiménez did in 2018/19.

We will be releasing other new features when the June discount expires on July 1 so stay tuned on that front.

Last season, we helped Adam Levy to become the reigning Fantasy Premier League champion.

In his recent interview, he said: “I always sign up pre-season for £12.50 as I think that’s good value for the members’ content.”

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our members’ league and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

We are hugely grateful to those who show their support by signing up as a member each season. This continues to enable us to maintain the site, grow the FFS team and develop more ideas.

Members can switch between competitions to mine the data using an array of tables. Our comparison tools for players and teams can also be used to make head-to-head comparisons.

Filters can be applied to take into account only the last two, four and six matches played by a team or player.

Meanwhile, the match dashboard offers analysis of each match, together with charts which plot average positions and our collection of heatmaps for touches, shots, chances created among other statistics.

Members can also create custom tables based on the data and share them with other members.

The most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table which has a hugely successful rate for accurately predicting which underperforming assets will find the net next.

We will be producing a new preview movie highlighting what is available next week.

Our pre-season features begin with access to our Members Season Ticker tool on or around June 13 with the announcement of the Premier League fixtures, with our Rate My Team tool and Player Projections to follow once the Fantasy Premier League player list is confirmed.

Having added new features over the last few years – including Expected Goals data and Heatmaps – we’ll also be bringing back our Development Squad updates as we gear up to realise more ideas and bring you more tools to help enhance your Fantasy campaigns.

If you’ve any feedback or suggestions of content that you’d like to see added to the members offering, then please feel free to drop us a line at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a member here. A full FAQ on our Members area is also available here.

Existing registered users can upgrade via this link. New users, who are yet to get a registered account, can sign up via this link.

Payments can be made through Paypal or via Stripe using debit or credit cards.

Why is everyone getting dendonker lol
    He is a defensive midfielder
Of because he is cheap and plays it still goes against actually getting points on the bench ?!

    1. diesel001
      • 7 Years
      4 years, 9 months ago

Because you generally need some cheap bench players. Out of all the £4.5m midfielders Dendoncker is the most nailed and can get the odd attacking return.

Neves plays at the base of the midfield 3, so he does get forward occasionally. I'd be surprised if Wolves don't sign another central midfielder soon tho, especially with European commitments.

i only ever really use the ticker in members area tbh... but I've still got the same opinion as I did years ago when I 1st became a member... it's a few pound contribution to the site I use alot.

used to prefer when it was smaller & it felt like the sub was helping keep the site ticking over instead of more the business orientated feel now but fairplay to Mark for getting it this far

If there was a 'member area lite' version I might be interested.
Just for the RMT and season ticker.
Or even just the RMT tool
Personally I have no real need for the rest of the stuff.
As I said above it annoyed me!
I suppose it was because I felt I had to use it all as I paid for it.

Yeah I used to pay it just to give back but the site is beyond that now. And as the ad revenue goes up the quality goes down it seems. Also didn't mark jump ship?

Mark has gone behind the scenes now.
Because the pressure of front line duty was effecting his family life according to this site.

Plus (my theory) it seemed it was ruining his enjoyment of the game as he could not make any move without having to justify the move.
I think there was no way he would have done as well as last season in fpl if he was still a podcast regular.
He could be his own man.

No I mean he quit as director. You don't need any front line duty to remain director of your own site. (My theory) he didn't like how sh11t it inevitably became in order to be an impersonal clickbait monopoly in this social media driven dumbed down www we now have. So he cashed in and walked. Good for him. He built the beast but could never tame it.

I was a member a few years ago and it ruined the game for me.
Proliferation of stats and so on - information overload.

You can make your own excel spreadsheet anyway for fixtures.
And there is free player comparison on sites such as whoscored anyway.
      https://www.whoscored.com/PlayerComparison

Fan forums are good for the nuggets of info as well.

Exactly I just end up seen numbers.
I know some people love stats and work well of them.
          But not for me.
I might pay attention to mentions of the increased shots by mentioned by others in passing.

Then pay attention to the live game/highlights and see what the players body language is like.

Are the shots real shots or shots for the sake of it?
Are the shots 'hard luck' shots?
Is the player running into traffic?
You cannot measure that by stats
But that is about as far as I went last season.
I am not one for these 'underlying stats' numbers analysis.
          It can give false positives.

Which player(s) do you think have been most under priced, and are therefore pencilled in for your GW1 team?
For me the stand-out here is Van Dijk.

On the flip of this which players do you think have been over priced?
I was eager to include both McNeil and/or Brooks in my team, but their prices seem at least £0.5MN too high.

I believe jota started last season at £6.5Mn.
Either way, he really found his feet in the backend of last season, and at 22 should have scope for some further improvement (which I hope will at minimum balance the occasional rest or lethargic performance that may come courtesy of the Europa League).
I think he is priced correctly.

The full backs are first choice attacking wingers effectively under Pellegrini. 2 good centre backs and one of the best keepers in the league to protect them should mean big points potential at 4.5.

Yarmo is our first choice RW when fit and is extremely involved in our attacks. I don’t see noble in our first 11 next year and I fancy him to take over penalty duties so at 6m he could be huge

Hmm interesting, do you not mean wingbacks, rather than attacking wingers? Sterling/Salah/Rich are attacking wingers, surely Fredericks wont be pushing that high. What's your formation likely to be would you think?

KNow very little about Yarmo. With him having such little game time last year I'm going to treat him like a new arrival and monitor only for now.

Interesting, I think Maddison is fairly priced.

Christensen is a good player and is a great shout for an underpriced option IF he regains his place, although I guess that could be said about many good players who were usurped from the starting XI last year

Yarmolenko has definitely been underpriced. 6.0 for a first choice RW who likes to cut inside and take a lot of shots. Definitely going in my team if he has a decent pre-season

    7. Ramboros

      Underpriced

VVD, Robertson, TAA, Zaha, Perez, Lukaku

I think they have mostly done a good job with scouting out potential bargains this season in midfield and attack and priced them fairly. Zaha are a tad too cheap when considering the additional points they will get in midfield. Liverpool defence is way underpriced. Lukaku is still in his prime, and Solskjær is an offensive manager. FPL are gambling that he will not play due to Rashford.

      Overpriced

All Leicester defender are 0.5 too expensive. Alonso. Mustafi. Valery and Vestergaard. Patricio, Coady, Bennett, Doherty and Jonny. Mee. Tomkins.

      Richarlison and Bernard. McNeil. Vrancic.

Overall the price setting is closer to my philosophy, but the Liverpool defenders offer way too much value.

A lot of people like to rotate 2 4.4m goalkeepers or 4.5m defenders to ensure one always plays at home, in the questionable belief that they are more likely to keep a clean sheet.

      Great work as usual, Doos!
Which of the newly promoted teams would be expected to be the most resilient this season? There's always seems one of the new teams that provide a decent 4.5 defender option, which could be part of a rotation pair. There's ofc goalkeepers as well, maybe Burnley/Villa gk rotation?

That’s useful however having looked at 4.5 GK rotation until the wildcard (international break between GW 8 and 9) I like Ryan/Krul the best for fixture difficulty, even though it’s not a home-away rotation.
I’m intended on playing Ryan each week except for GW 4 (mci), GW 7 (che) and GE 8 (TOT) during that period.
Krul has GW4 (wha), GW7 (cpa) and GW8 (AVL).

I think you'll be surprised, Zinchenko was superb towards the end of the season. City hardly conceded when he played and Pep loves his attitude. I do foresee rotation tho if Mendy can stay fit. All the reports I've seen re Angelino suggest he'll be first team cover, which makes sense.

Can someone explain please? I'm confused by the FFS H2H league. When you enter the code it puts you in a classic league and not H2H.

There's a HT that explains it, but it's just a league to gather the entrants. Eventually everyone in that league will be sorted out into the H2H leagues, which I think will be hosted here rather than as a league on FPL

        1. Wild Rover

Doesn't this mean FFS will have our teams and real names but not know who most of us are in relation to FFS user names if I read this correctly?

To be completely honest, I don't have the faintest clue on how they will organise all of it, but I've seen Geoff mentioning that ideally it will have FFS names in the leagues too.

your defence is basically a home and away fixture for the two liverpool based clubs. Thats very concentrated and reliant on two fixtures in my view. Better to diversify. Last year i have five defenders from five seperate teams for most of it and it served me really well. Give you more options to play the fixtures an form of a team.

    Any preferences between:

    A) Vardy and Sterling
    B) Kane and KDB

Anyone considering going 4-3-3 with a front 6 of the below?

    Salah Siggy Sterling
    Vardy King Arnie

Kinda, might be a 4-3-3 sometimes depending on fixtures, I've got Mané, Sterling, King and Vardy so we're similar there too.

Have t hw same but with Zaha instead of Siggy, I guess I spent 1m more in defence than you did to afford Siggy over Zaha

Could I please get some feedback, seem fairly settled on this.

    Pickford
    TAA - Laporte - Vertonghen - Robertson
Salah - Bernardo Silva - Moutinho - Zaha
    Kane - King

    Stekelenburg - Diop - Dendoncker - Wickham

Looks alright. Monitor Wickham he might drop in price.
Not sure on the Zaha pick - transfer rumours etc
      Bernardo Silva worth the risk.
      Diop nice pick

At the minute I’m struggling to look beyond this team:

    Ryan
    Robbo TAA Laporte Digne
    Salah Sterling Siggy Brooks
    King Jota

    Button Gibson Dendoncker Wickham

Really happy with this structure for now

    6.0 4.0
    7.0 6.5 5.5 4.5 4.5
    12.5 12.0 7.0 7.0 4.5
    6.5 6.5 6.0

Only real doubt is how much value will that 6.0 striker provide - whether those funds should go to a 4th defender but the downside is a non-playing sub.

I’d rather Coleman than DCL if that’s who you’re thinking of?

Yep get Digne as 6m defender and 4.5 attacker that’s what I am doing

        2. Wild Rover

A defender gets 4pts for a cs and a fwd 4pts for a goal. I think Digne will get more cs's than DCL gets goals plus he will get attacking points and is more likely to get baps.

Also by playing 4-4-2 you can get a 4.0m def and use the money to upgrade elsewhere

Yep - I'm finding it hard to get a better balance than with a 4-4-2 set up at the moment

Mids and attacking defs just bring more potential than forwards

    Morning all

I am pretty fixed on a 4-4-2 at the moment, chopping and changing between a couple of options for the last few slots. Keen to get some opinions

    Ryan
    Robbo, VVD, Digne, Laporte
Salah, Sterling, Zaha/ Siggy*, Fraser/ Maddison*
    King, Jota
    (Button) (Kelly, Dendoncker, Nketiah)

The starred positions are the ones that are open to debate for now. Thoughts?

    Cheers

    A) Digne & Kane
    B) Trippier & Aguero

    Sterling owner.

Not considering Firmino as I wouldn't use up a Liverpool spot on him. So many options there including a triple up in defence if you don't like or can't afford the two wingers.

Wouldn't get Trippier as of now. Coleman and Aguero could work.

Assuming B has Kun instead of Sterling then B

I think you have to have one of the 2 of them to start the season tbh

      • 6 Years

Oops just saw you already have Sterling

I wouldn't double up with Kun then - would rather have mid-range fwds and a stronger mid personally given the assist and points potential

Need to raise 2.0 as I want my last Defender to be a 4.5

    Who to downgrade?

    Ederson

    Trent / VVD / Digne / 4.5 / 4.0

    B.SIlva / Salah / Miliviojevic / Redmond / Maddison

    Kane / Jiminez / 4.5

Hopefully to us but Husillos won’t allow anyone to get in the know. I imagine from the lack of links elsewhere we have a chance. Would be a perfect fit for Everton though

    Any thoughts on the below:

    Ederson (Button)
    Robertson Trent Digne Coleman (O'Connell)
Mane De Bruyne Sigurdsson Zaha (Stephens)
    Wilson Murray (4.5)

1.0 ITB. Can be used to change Mane to Salah, but not sure Salah is better as of now. Can also do Coleman / Digne to a Man city defender but don't want to limit my options too much as might want to change Mane to Sterling after first two gameweeks and assessing the situation.

your defence is way too expensive. defensive points versus midfielders / strikers is much less, therefore, spend more on midfield and strikers

      upgrade murray!

Poulteren has kind of alluded to it, but you could rotate Diop and Dendoncker as a 4th def/5th mid - they rotate very well for all 38 weeks
