    Good Sunday afternoon, gentlemen.
Who the best budget midfielders and/or budget strikers all over the season in your view? Kind of "set and forget", I mean. It's for another kind of fantasy football game where only goals and assists count for the two roles.
    Thank you all in advance.

Is Jimenez cheap at that game? Think he'll be better this season, provided they exit Europe early.

Signed from Preston, winger / forward. 13 goals 5 assists last season I think. Even after missing a chunk through injury

hummm... is this enough to replace a true local legend? I'd heavily bet a Sheff Utd fan would easily prefer to be relegated than to watch Billy Sharp nailed on a bench.

Well Robinson is their record signing so I assume he's alongside, or as support striker. Doubt he'd be on bench

If Emerson nails down a spot, and Lampard actually sorts out Chelsea's defence, he could be a really good option.

Given the opposition, and having seen him and Alonso here in Italy, i'd say Emerson will be.

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9504235/man-utd-world-record-80m-maguire-transfer-leicester-defender-medical-tomorrow/#Echobox=1563107607

Sun not exactly trustworthy reporting but brighton getting a reported £45 million for lewis dunk is madness.

£80 for maguire is also but I guess united are desperate.

World’s gone stark raving bonkers if someone pays €80m for Maguire

Man Utd may be just about shambolic & dysfunctional enough to do it... but even by their standards it’s pushing the boat out

€45m for Dunk is a blatant wind up - it won’t happen

      1. OleGGMU
        • 5 Years

Even as a Utd Fan just happy to see defensive signings or signings period for that matter, I so agree!! WTF 80m is defo not Maguire, half that and it should be right, this SCREAMS desperation to get young English talent before 'pool and City nab em..for me, having top english/UK talent is always welcome , prefer from academy than bought, but we were never a club to quite literally throw money to get a player in a "name your price mate" kinda fashion where even BS pricing like this is acceptable.
Woodward has to be chucked, this shambles is more his than any managers fault including Moyes though he did set it off by chucking a winning backroom staff for those that won zero.

Positives are that we finally have solid natural RB in AWB and a solid PL performing def , both of whom have bags of talent and potential and do seem to have both feet on the ground and have great worth ethics

Negatives : still lacking in the market , midfield is shambolic, creativity is where ??? Pog F'n Ba apparently talked up as cpt again if he stays... we need leaders not players wiv an overdose of the "Superstar" bug in leadership roles
We need players committed to the cause, the club and the fans rather than there until a better pay cheque is near

Can anyone tell me what the best combination for keepers were last year?
Forget the price, it could be 2 5.5's.
Any home rotation with an average points ratio of 60/40 should reap benefits.
I cannot use standard tools because save points distort the numbers.
For instance (definitely not correct) if Leno and Lloris kept 10 clean sheets at home each there is an argument a 10.5 mil investment in 2 players get you a very high points per million.
Having read this I will be flabbergasted if I get a sensible reply.

I've seen Leno+Lloris were by far the best couple to rotate last term.

I mean... Yeah this post is a lil all over the place but I kinda get it?

I'm on Ed and button... 10m from the off and only really Ed offering me anything. Leno and a 4.5m would save me some cash and maybe offer similar scores on the rotation...

      2. Eze Really?
        • 9 Years
        4 years, 8 months ago

        No stats tables cover it.
I am a believer in having a decent enabler off the bench and normally go 5 to 5.5. Often midfield too. DDG and Ederson could well be. Probably Pickford and Alisson.
If I knew I would pick up 200 points it could easily be worth a 10.5 mil rotation.
Only really thought about it due to Fab's 1st game.

Chips can be used to potentially enhance your team's performance during the season.

Only one chip can be played in a single Gameweek. The chips available are as follows:

Bench Boost - The points scored by your bench players in the next Gameweek are included in your total.

Free Hit - Make unlimited free transfers for a single Gameweek. At the next deadline your squad is returned to how it was at the start of the Gameweek.

Triple Captain - Your captain points are tripled instead of doubled in the next Gameweek.

Wildcard - All transfers (including those already made) in the Gameweek are free of charge.

Is it out of the game or does it not show up until after GW1 lineups lock? I think the latter because no need for a free hit until after that occurrence.

This was dealt with numerous times on the day the game came out. The free hit chip exists but is never available for GW1.

To be fair, if it comes down to it, i'd trust.Ings more from the spot, at least at the start. But we'llhave to monitor further.

Trossard and FWD fodder plus 0.5 ITB

    or

    Jota and Dendoncker

I think Trossard might be a good one to have for early weeks, but then maybe not so much as Brighton fixtures become mixed. On the other hand, Wolves have tough fixtures but weren’t all that effected by tough fixtures last year.

If it matters to assess value of the 0.5 ITB, rest of the squad follows:

    Ederson/Button

    TAA/Digne/VVD/C. Taylor/Targett
    Salah/KDB/Siggy/Fraser/XX
    King/Deulofeu/XX

    ]Ryan
Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, van Aanholt, Adam Smith
    Sigurdsson, Salah, Brooks
    Aubameyang, King, Vardy

    Button, Noble, Targett, Dendoncker

Thoughts for now? should be a solid first two weeks with games against Nor, Sou, Eve, Shu x2, CP, Wat x2, Avl, Wol, New, Bur, Whm. I think it's good enough to hold out to the first IB for a WC if necessary.

No way maguire is backup when splashing 80 mil on him! I think it’s a wait and see they were terrible at the back last year.

        Def looks decent on paper.

        De Gea
        Shaw Maguire Bailey? AWB

Hopefully get skriniar in exchange for Lukaku and then play Skriniar and Lindelof at the back. Id have Maguie on the bench tbf. I know its 80m but we’re manchester united at the end of the day
