How Scout Membership can help Fantasy managers in 2019/20

Full-season Fantasy Football Scout subscriptions are still available for £17.50 – that’s the equivalent of less than 39p a week.

Over the years we have added to the benefits that our Members enjoy and we will be re-investing back into the site to enhance it further in 2019/20.

The most recent addition was the new Flat-Track Bully tool, which allows Members to conduct research in greater detail.

Using this new feature (pictured below) you can exclude/include certain teams (i.e. the ‘big six’) when scrolling through the various tabs in our Player Stats section.

This will help you identify players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition and even those who thrive against the top teams like Raúl Jiménez did in 2018/19.

We also recently put a call out for web developers and we have a number of other site improvements in the pipeline that will hopefully help our subscribers even more.

If you’re new to the benefits of Fantasy Football Scout membership, you can get full details, along with a series of movies previewing the content, via this page.

In 2018/19 we published more Members’ articles than ever before and there will be at least 150 such pieces in the 2019/20 campaign.

We also introduced Members-only comments and Hot Topics to allow for detailed discussions of content behind the pay-wall.

Our Projections and Rate My Team tools (below) have both been tweaked, with RMT’s Professor – aka Chris Atkinson – elaborating on the changes in a recent Hot Topic.

Reigning Fantasy Premier League champion Adam Levy is a paid-up Member of our site and he discussed what tools of ours he finds most useful in a recent interview.

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members’ League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our Members’ League and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

We are hugely grateful to those who show their support by signing up as a Member each season. This continues to enable us to maintain the site, grow the Fantasy Football Scout team and develop more ideas.

Here are just some of the features you can enjoy as a subscriber:

Head-to-Head Comparisons

Compare both teams and players head to head.

Match Analysis

Analysis of every Premier League match (going back to 2011/12!), together with charts which plot average positions and our collection of heatmaps for touches, shots, chances created among other statistics.

Custom Stats Tables

Members can also create custom tables based on the data and share them with other subscribers (an example from last season is shown above).

Perhaps the most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table, which looks to predict which underperforming assets will find the net next.

Customisable Season Ticker

Sort by fixture difficulty and find out which teams’ matches rotate well using our customisable Season Ticker.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a member here. A full FAQ on our Members’ Area is also available here.

If you’ve any feedback or suggestions of content that you’d like to see added to the Members’ Area, then please feel free to drop us a line at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

    Which option is better lads?

    A. (343) Cathcart(bench) Moura King

    B. (442) Digne Dendoncker(bench) Wilson

Gotta say B I think. Digne's attacking stats are ridiculous and he has the potential for clean sheets on top of that, whereas Lucas is more of a 2-week gamble.

Wilson no doubt better than King also

I have 0.5m spare in my team.

I currently have Fraser and Wilson in my team, but with the 0.5m I could swap them both to KDB and King. I already have Sterling for a City attacker.

    Which is the better option?

    A) Fraser and Wilson
    B) KDB and King

Yeah actually I suppose a good way to look at would be to get the Bournemouth men and then reassess when they play City GW3 on how much KDB is playing.

I think Bournemouth will do great over the season, but I think the first two fixtures might be a bit of a trap. Utd and Villa aren't bad teams and they'll be desperate to get off to a good start.

Still think Bournemouth are clear favourites in those games, but I'm not expecting a winning margin of more than 1 or 2 goals.

Having said all that, I'm torn on the above. Of the four players, KDB is definitely the strongest, but King is also a fair bit weaker than Fraser and Wilson as an asset, and I still think the Bournemouth guys can provide great value.

      I don't know, sorry!

Yeah I can’t make up my mind with the two opening fixtures. Bournemouth are flat track bullies but at the same tine, I agree Villa and more so Sheff U aren’t likely to let themselves be walked over like Fulham and Cardiff last year.

I'm completely lost atm if I'm honest.

    Happy with the following selections:

    4.5 keeper
    TAA, VVD, Digne, Zinchenko
    Salah, Sterling, Siggy

That's 8 out of 11 players - other than that I really don't know who to include.

None of the forwards excite me except Vardy, but he makes the other two picks fairly minimal.

    The same goes for KDB.

I like Coleman but unsure about 5atb with double Eve defence...

Anyone got any advice for who I should be giving more consideration to and I might be looking over?

(fwiw currently on Coleman + Vardy + Adams, but subject to change many times)

    1. Eytexi

I have those 8 with King, Deulofeu & Wilson. Plan to switch to Bournemouth boys to a Chelsea forward and Haller (if both look good of course).

I see why you're not excited tbh, i had 1 upfront up until about a week ago. King has great opening (2) fixtures & pens (plus is an easy switch to Chelsea forward in GW3), Deulofeu seems the centre point of Watford's frontline with good opening (4) fixtures (plus is an easy swap to Wood/Barnes in GW5: or someone else depending on form).

I've a pretty similar situation with my squad, and I'm currently on Coleman Wilson and Perez. You'll have the cash to have Maddison and Zaha for Perez though. I reckon with the spots to fill you're almost forced into 5atb. My thinking being you need a player under 6, and Coleman stands out as the best option at that price for me.

Leaning towards 442 here too mate, just a few 50/50 calls to make but will likely be something like this:

      Pope
      Robertson / VVD / Digne / AWB
      Sterling / Salah / Siggy / Perez
      Wilson / King
      (4.0, Greenwood, Dendoncker, Kelly)

Surprised more people are not going Richarlison instead of Fraser, specially if they have Wilson too.

I will probably play either Norwood or Jorginho every week if that helps. People are very down on the 5.0m mids but when you but them with a Pogba or a Sigurdsson and compare predicted points to 2 x 6.5m mids, they seem to come out on top. Obviously predicted points don't really mean anything, but it's not as clear cut as people seem to think when ruling them out or advising against them.

    What's better -->
Sterling, Wilson, Zaha (or other 7mil) vs
BSilva, Kane( or Aubameyang), Siggy (or other 8 mil).

Is it worth having Sterling so early? We can even play Aguero instead if we go for Bernardo.

Any debates on Sigurdsson vs Richarlison? Both good options. Is there a stand out reason why one may be better than the other? Or is it all about personal preference.

    RMT

    Ryan
    Robbo/Coleman/AWB
    Perez/Salah/Siggy/Sterling
    Adams/King/Vardy

    Subs: Balbuena, Kelly, Stephens, Button

Swapped Ake, Digne and Jimenez for Kelly, Coleman and Vardy. Right choice? Worth dropping Digne down to Coleman to get Vardy? Reckon he'll outscore Jimenez what with Wolves' Europa efforts and Leicesters' Rodgers revival.

Getting on a bit, fancy Jesus to steal even more of his minutes this campaign; and his away form is abysmal

I’ve gone for Sterling myself, to be perfectly honest i don’t know why Aguero is missing from so many teams. 22% owned, suppose he’s missing from teams on here, people rather Deulofeu and Jota

I just think I'd rather captain Kun and he has pens in his locker...

I had him, but pre season has swayed me, Aguero will have some time off before he’s back but sterling looks like the talisman in his absence. If I feel comfortable enough that Aguero starts the first game I’ll swap back though.
