        Inspite of winning all? Fragile is too strong considering Maguire will replace Rojo/Smalling. But fixtures arent the best so maybe let them settle and go Shaw if they show form as he much more attacking

          My suspicion is that United defence problems are a matter of systems and wonky midfield cover in defence as much as personnel. Happy to be proved wrong.

      I’d be tempted to spend the Dunk money in getting Luiz or Azpi from AWB. Dendo isn’t much worse than Dunk as first bench imo.

    Looks like going triple Bou attack for first 2 atleast and maybe even first 7 if no good 6.5mn replacement for King comes could work as a differential even though its all eggs in 1 basket at the end we care about points eh. Baring Mcity that too at home they have very nice matches against who atleast 2 of Fraser/king/Wilson have always returned. Plus their performance vs epl level Lyon side was great.Especially their attack. Thoughts?

      You are the first I've seen considering this on here but I'm also considering it recklessly or not I don't know! Feel I'm def starting with Wilson + Fraser and atm I have Wood in King's spot. Wood, considering his preseason form could be worth the punt for the first two but very tempted by King.

        Agreed. Not sure where ASM fits in as Bruce has played Hayden, Longstaff and Shelvey as a midfield 3 behind Almiron and Joelinton. He may be an impact sub to start off with or backup to Almiron. Hayden and Longstaff looked our best CM pairing last season.

          That is an unnecessary response. It's not bad mate imo but there are a lot of punts. KWP, the Chelseas and Pukki. That's high risk. I'd only go for one of these if at all. GW1 is about minimizing risk and seeing the lay of the land. Rico probably won't play and I would downgrade one GK to a 4m

          Maybe a joke was the wrong choice of vocab but some of the picks are dumb. I like punts and risks such as pulisic and Haller etc but picking players like Lundstram and Abraham in the starting xi who may not play isnt ideal 🙂

          I like that he has penalties though. I did see him getting a. Tonne more chances this year as the system is set up to allow the striker to score a lot. Jota will be my next option I think. Close between him and Wesley (purely down to fixtures)

        Not keen on playing him GW1, would mean having Norwood in my 11 not happy about that.

      I expect ~50% GI in a team that scores a lot of goals. In pre season every move has revolved around him either creating the chance or hitting one himself. I think Wilshere takes noble’s place this year as he is miles better which will grant Haller pen duties. Haller is nailed in mine in GW2/3 with Wilson as placeholder for first game at the least

        Thanks. Shame you can't trust Wilshere to stay fit, still expect Noble to play most games as a result. I'm starting with him, no reason why he can't cause City issues, don't really want to plan a GW2 transfer. My only concern with him is he'll end up as a pre assist merchant, like for Lanzinis goal yesterday.

        Wilshere is truly horrible. When compared to Noble. Honestly. That really shows you up. And I have the utmost respect for your opinions. 🙂

          :O you have been watching pre season haven’t you doos he has been unreal. The player arsenal once had. I completely fell out with noble’s lack of effort last season. He is a hero and always will be to me but his time as a regular starter is up for me now. I like yours too you have made me think differently for the better 🙂

                  I’ll never question his passing ability. He has been our secret Pirlo for years. I just feel Wilshere offers us more in terms of mobility and ball carrying which we require next to a player like rice. Wilshere still has the tenacity of noble on the field aswell as the passing talent and he is a perfect replacement I think

            Pellegrini himself, thinks that your view is incorrect. He has said, in terms, that Noble knitted the team together, last Season, and can be expected to continue, this Season.
