The impact Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had on United’s Fantasy assets

The jury is still out on Manchester United’s Fantasy assets going into the new campaign.

The new manager bounce that the club experienced after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment in December gave way to some middling form in the final nine Gameweeks of the season.

Their pre-season results (five wins from six) have been quietly encouraging, at least, with Inter Milan and Spurs among the teams already beaten in July.

This latest Numbers Game piece differs from the usual format as we focus on the impact Solskjaer had on United’s assets in the second half of last season.

The Norwegian first took charge of the Red Devils in Gameweek 18, so we will examine United’s stats before and after the departure of Jose Mourinho.

As usual ive been tinkering every day in the leadup to the start of the season. Im trying to save my WC this year as I tend to use it early and regret it later

    Allison (Button)
    Robbo, Digne, AWB (Kelly, Lundstram)
    Fraser, Perez, Sterling, Siggy, Barkley
    Jimenez, Vardy (Abraham)

Pricing of Kean is quite nice, may well punt from the start:

    Henderson
    Robbo, Trent, Coleman, Zinc
    Salah, Sterling, Pulisic, Perez
    Wilson, Kean

    Button; Rico, Dendoncker, Greenwood

Could downgrade Pulisic > Barkley and go for Ederson also...

I have really high hopes on him and 7.0 seems to be a bargain.

THe only thing for me though is: will he start from the get go?

Looking at pre season they've hardly scored, surely boosts his chance of starting

It’s a punt, need to check if he had a pre season for Juve or not. Great price and fixtures though.

Which of the below teams do you think looks better? Like having Kane in A but it weakens the defense and mid compared to B. However, always nice having a premium forward price point. Alterntively, KDB could be a potential route to Son in GW3 in B. Thoughts??

    A

    Pope (Button)
Robbo, VVD, Zinchenko, Dunk, Catchcart (Rotating 4.5s)
    Sterling, Salah, Perez, Barkley (Dendoncker)
    Kane, King (Greenwood)

    B

    Pope (Button)
    Robbo, VVD, Zinchenko, Digne (Lundstram)
    Sterling, Salah, KDB, Perez (Dendoncker)
    Jota, King (Greenwood)

    Thoughts on this?

My first draft back to 3 at the back..

    Back to 343:

    Pope (4.0)
    VVD - Coleman - Zinchenko (4.0, 4.0)
    Salah - Sterling - Barkley - Perez (4.5)
    Auba - Haller - Ings

    How does this look?

Look forward to you playing 5-4-1 all season then.

Any feedback and critical analysis of this lot. My 13 outfielders from Pool, City, Spurs and Everton with Arsenal, Chelsea and ManUtd thrown in.
    Plus 4.5 GKs.

    Option 1:
    Pope (Ryan)
Van Dijk - Matip - Zinchenko - Digne (Maguire)
De Bruyne - Siggy - Pulisic (Sissoko, Skipp)
    Kane (c) - Auba - Origi

Option 2 : Could do Pulisic to bench 4.5, Maguire to Walker and KDB to Sterling.
