Which Watford players should FPL managers consider in 2019/20?

It’s as you were for Watford going into the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

At the time of writing and with just 24 hours before the transfer window closes, the Hornets had made only two first-team signings this summer – one of them Danny Welbeck.

Centre-half Craig Dawson (£5.0m) has arrived from West Bromwich Albion and he was the only player not on the books in 2018/19 who was involved in Watford’s final pre-season friendly against Real Sociedad last weekend.

Javi Gracia’s side are also set to be lining up in their familiar 4-2-2-2/4-4-2 shape, with the Watford boss having briefly experimented with a three-man backline in their penultimate friendly against QPR.

We can be fairly confident about the system and personnel going into Gameweek 1 and beyond, then, but what can Fantasy managers expect from Watford’s players this season and are they worthy of consideration?

      I like it, it's similar to mine.

      I'm not overly keen on Montoya playing every week though. I have Zouma and Robinson instead. Awaiting on Luiz news though.

      It looks good and I will give you Kean as a punt but you know Rico is not someone e who can start every week even a donkey rotation or something like that ain't good enough I think.
      I have Zinch and KWP too but we know the risks.
      I don't you Ryan just throw Button in with him makes sense if anything happens to Ryan

    I’ve got a theory the first weeks of this season, with the new goal kick law, the introduction of your VARS and specifically the handball law tinkering is going to play hell with the template, and a lot of defence heavy teams are going to find themselves well down on projections.

    My current team (0.5 ITB)

    If I keep the 0.5 ITB I can switch from Wilson to Rashford in GW3 (or maybe from Deeney to Abraham). Would it be better to spend the 0.5 now instead?

      Very nice, similar set up to mine, I've gone Ederson, VVD, Dunk, Perez, Wood.
      Double Everton defence looks horrible and Robinson is not nailed apparently.
