Which Watford players should FPL managers consider in 2019/20?

It’s as you were for Watford going into the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

At the time of writing and with just 24 hours before the transfer window closes, the Hornets had made only two first-team signings this summer – one of them Danny Welbeck.

Centre-half Craig Dawson (£5.0m) has arrived from West Bromwich Albion and he was the only player not on the books in 2018/19 who was involved in Watford’s final pre-season friendly against Real Sociedad last weekend.

Javi Gracia’s side are also set to be lining up in their familiar 4-2-2-2/4-4-2 shape, with the Watford boss having briefly experimented with a three-man backline in their penultimate friendly against QPR.

We can be fairly confident about the system and personnel going into Gameweek 1 and beyond, then, but what can Fantasy managers expect from Watford’s players this season and are they worthy of consideration?

    What do you think of this team?

    Main issues are Walker-Peters (nailed?), Trent (him or Robbo?) and Norwood (downgrade elsewhere to upgrade him?)

      I think you're likely to want to change KWP Moura and Norwood quite early on. But that defence, Sterling, Salah and Vardy is nice.

        Not sure there's too much value in strikers at that price. It would be a transfer waiting to happen with a dodgy defender on the bench. Thank though

    Is it more feasible to go with 2 4,5 rotating defenders to accompany VVD and Digne than have TAA as a third defender in a 3-5-2 system? Could use those extra 2 mil.

          I am going A/3 if I go with that draft (down to 2 drafts, see post above). Fraser is just more consistent than other two, and for me, Jota is more consistent than Wood (despite pre-season), and would not want double Bou forwards.

          Fraser is best out of them midfielders but king is also better than them forwards. I wouldn’t want to have Wood because of fixtures and Jota because of Europa league/less minutes etc.
