Really solid line-up. I like the balance and you managed to squeeze a 9mil striker in there as well.

Or start with Wood and get Haller next week?

Can someone explain why people are saying greenwood (insert any popular fodder option who may disappoint by not starting) is a price drop waiting to happen.

I thought Price drops were calculated by percentage of owners selling. Therefore it takes more managers to bother spending a transfer moving around a 4.5 slot for someone like greenwood than it would for a lowly owned option.

    Have I got this wrong?

    1. BoleynWin
      • 6 Years
      4 years, 8 months ago

It’s a catch 22, you go with the highest % owned ‘fodder’ player because everything thinks they can chip in with points here & there. If they do then you’re laughing, if they don’t & another option at that price bracket arises then everyone flocks over & leaves remaining owners with a drop.

An example would be Nketiah starting against Newcastle & bagging a goal for Arsenal, there will be an exodus from Greenwood owners. It’s unlikely but it’s a risk...

What do people always seem to say when preseason ends and the season starts?

"Man, I let preseason have too big an impact on my time!"

    Right!?

I took Siggy out of my team at roughly the same time many others did, as preseason wore on, but I wonder whether we're paying too much attention to preseason, and not the brilliant point scoring we saw at the end of last season...

    2. Bolivian Seaman

Preseason means very little but it can do. Chelsea are shipping goals with their best team out, that means something. Liverpool are shipping goals but they are a full unit in preseason - liverpool should be ok. But chelsea will concede and rarely get cleansheets

    3. UnitedFan
      • 8 Years
      4 years, 8 months ago

I've kept him too. Seen a few Everton fans say that they're not worried about lack of goals in preseason as they always play like that in those games every time. I think people might be overthinking things. Siggy's a great fpl asset, has good fixtures and a decent price. He's in. Can also apply this more generally to others players/cases regarding preseason.

I went with this team to try maximise the possibilites in case of some uncertainties to clear up, what do you think ?

    Pope - Heaton
kiko Femenia - Dunk - Robertson - Zinchenko - Lundstram
Salah - Sterling - Lucas Moura - McGinn - Pérez
    Wilson - Murray - Kean

I prefer McGinn over Robinson because we're not sure what position the Sheffield man will be playing
    Kean in a punt
Lucas Moura is just there to wait and see who's Chelsea's #10
Murray will rotate but should at least play the first match, I can't see that monument for the club be benched for the begging of the season

    Pope (Button)
    Robertson TAA Digne Zinchenko (Kelly)
    Salah Sterling Fraser Perez (Dendoncker)
    Wilson Ings (Greenwood)

I have a spare 0.5m and no idea what to do with it...
    Zinchenko > ?
    Fraser > Siggy/Richarlison?
    Something else?

A lot of talk about Cancelo can play LB, not saying it's impossible and we all know Pep, but:
    According to transfermarkt:

    RB games played 123
    LB games played 5
    RM games played 37
    (RW 4, LM 1)
