Can Wolves’ FPL assets perform as well in 2019/20?

Wolverhampton Wanderers were one of the big success stories of last season, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s impressive side finishing seventh in their first Premier League campaign in six years.

The West Midlands club offered Fantasy managers some notable bargain buys, with Matt Doherty (£6.0m), Diogo Jota (£6.5m) and Raul Jimenez (£7.5m) the three stand-out assets.

Doherty, Jimenez and several others have been handed price rises in Fantasy Premier League this summer, however, and aren’t quite the cut-price gems they were 12 months ago.

Do Wolves players still appeal, then, going into 2019/20?

Our 20th and final Numbers Game piece looks at Wanderers’ underlying data from last season to see if the numbers of 2018/19 can be repeated in the upcoming campaign.

I'm surprised by the lack of love for Liverpools Gomez, do we not think he will be first choice? I know Matip has performed well so I suppose it's a wait and see.

Toffee here. I always thought he was alright, but was basically ignored by every manager he had at Goodison, so you'd assume they saw something they didn't like. Prone to a card-or-two. You'd have to say probably more of a Championship player, but I always felt he deserved more of a chance when he was with us and fit.

I’ll see who comes out firing. Either straight swap to martial or hold on and do a Moura to dendonker then upgrade Greenwood. Think his 7.5 mil price is quite easy to sort to someone else. Taking a punt on Barkley also but we shall see if it pays off.

Trying hard to squeeze Auba in but at the detriment of my overall team. What do you guys think of this..

    De Gea / Button

WAB Digne Robbo Doherty ( scored tonight) / Cahill

    Wilson Adams / Greenwood

    So do I *need* Auba??

My first RMT. Guessing fairly cookie cutter. Comments\thoughts appreciated.

    Pope (Button)
    Alexander-Arnold | Digne | Zinchenko (Dunk, Kelly)
Salah | Sterling | Perez | Lucas Moura (Hayden)
    Murray | Vardy | King

    Nothing in the bank.

A concern is a flexibility if a big striker starts strong.

I had Auba a few times list year, and he disappointed most weeks. Not to say he's not quality, and given the fact I do not have him, I like your chances.

Morua was actually a recent change. Wanted some Spurs cover.

      Jiminez
      Kean
      Haller
      Chelsea
      Jota
      Ings/adams
      Wesley

Dont think we've ever had such a long list of viable strikers at so many different price points. I want all of them lol. Going 3 4 3 just so I can enjoy all of them over the season

  20. Guy Demel

    A) Sterling, Jota + 0.5

    Heaton
    Robbo, VVD, Digne
    Perez, Sterling, Salah, Moura, Trossard
    Wilson, Deeney

I have 0.5 spare, which is the best move:

    a) VVD > TAA
    b) Moura > Siggy
    c) Deeney > Kean
    d) Keep 0.5ITB and decide GW2

Since I normally WC in GW3/4, the risk of going Salahless is not THAT high, esp form his current price point. And can spread funds around the rest of the team beautifully.
