Barkley and Mount both start as Pulisic drops to the bench

The final fixture of Gameweek 1 takes place at 16:30 BST as Manchester United welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford.

There weren’t too many shocks upon the release of the teamsheets but perhaps the headline news was that both Mason Mount (£6.0m) and Ross Barkley (£6.0m) – rather than one or the other – start together in Frank Lampard’s first Premier League starting XI as Chelsea manager.

Christian Pulisic (£7.5m) is the man to make way, with the USA international dropping to the bench.

Pedro (£7.0m) completes the trio of attacking midfielders lining up behind lone striker Tammy Abraham (£7.0m).

N’Golo Kante (£5.0m) is only fit enough for a place on the bench, while Willian (£7.0m) and Antonio Rudiger (£6.0m) miss out.

Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (both £5.5m) are handed their competitive United debuts but Daniel James (£6.0m) is only a substitute.

Andreas Pereira (£5.0m) instead gets the nod and will line up in ‘the hole’, with Jesse Lingard (£6.5m) on the right flank and Marcus Rashford (£8.5m) stationed on the opposite wing.

An ‘out of position’ Anthony Martial (£7.5m) is reportedly set to lead the line.

Budget FPL forward Mason Greenwood (£4.5m) is on the bench, meanwhile.

Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Zouma, Emerson, Kovacic, Jorginho, Mount, Barkley, Pedro, Abraham.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof, McTominay, Pereira, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford, Martial.

    Save and start Lundstram going into gw3 with 2 fts (have both Fraser and Wilson)

      tempted by McGinn but gonna give Trossard one more week. He is a quality player if he gets minutes he can get soemthing for sure, dare I say if he started gw1 he would have been on double digits..
      I have a playing bench in lundstram and holebas so no big deal for me to give him a week more. No show next week and he is gone straight away

      Its worth mentioning that in their pre season they changed formations a few times so for him not to start is not totally surprising but more disappointing

          I expect Trossard to be given home debut- quality player preseason and another week on bench and he may lose form/fitnesses- so keeping one more week but if no show he goes

      Azpilicueta is one I think who could be really good at it. Milner too.
      Probably deluded, but Simon Mignolet, from what I;ve heard, is a pretty intelligent guy.

    Jose thinking Rashford down the wing and Martial as the 9, or both upfront with Lingard tip of the diamond.
    Rashford is more suitable than Martial to play down the wing because of his work rate against an advancing fullback he says
