Barkley and Mount both start as Pulisic drops to the bench

The final fixture of Gameweek 1 takes place at 16:30 BST as Manchester United welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford.

There weren’t too many shocks upon the release of the teamsheets but perhaps the headline news was that both Mason Mount (£6.0m) and Ross Barkley (£6.0m) – rather than one or the other – start together in Frank Lampard’s first Premier League starting XI as Chelsea manager.

Christian Pulisic (£7.5m) is the man to make way, with the USA international dropping to the bench.

Pedro (£7.0m) completes the trio of attacking midfielders lining up behind lone striker Tammy Abraham (£7.0m).

N’Golo Kante (£5.0m) is only fit enough for a place on the bench, while Willian (£7.0m) and Antonio Rudiger (£6.0m) miss out.

Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (both £5.5m) are handed their competitive United debuts but Daniel James (£6.0m) is only a substitute.

Andreas Pereira (£5.0m) instead gets the nod and will line up in ‘the hole’, with Jesse Lingard (£6.5m) on the right flank and Marcus Rashford (£8.5m) stationed on the opposite wing.

An ‘out of position’ Anthony Martial (£7.5m) is reportedly set to lead the line.

Budget FPL forward Mason Greenwood (£4.5m) is on the bench, meanwhile.

Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Zouma, Emerson, Kovacic, Jorginho, Mount, Barkley, Pedro, Abraham.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof, McTominay, Pereira, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford, Martial.

    Zouma is an utter liability

Can’t play out from the back and very clumsy in challenges. Zero tactical awareness as well

Zouma constantly preferred to Laporte in France national team. It takes all kinds to make a world.

The amount of solid defenders France have is astonishing

Zouma is way way way way down on their massive list of defenders

Great game so far what are people complaining about? I was just thinking Chelsea look good. And Barkley looks as fit as he's been his whole career.

Not investing in Chelsea defense. Attack might be good bet, since we will have to attack with such a bad defence ....

Look at all the hirings. Look at who wins trophies across Europe. Even Jose and Pep and Fergie were 'inexperienced' at some point when hired for big jobs. They all don't put in 10-15 or more years THEN get the management call like in many other sports. They may have PLAYING experience, but not a lot of coaching. For example,

In his first season as the first team manager, Guardiola guided Barcelona to the treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League. In doing so, he became the youngest manager to win the aforementioned European competition.

Fergie wasn't inexperienced at all. Jose proved himself in Portugal before getting the Porto job and winning the champions league with them is what led to his career afterwards.

The Pep thing is why Solskjær and Lampard have gotten these chances (and the circumstances of his appt were very different) but lightning can only strike so many times...
