Barkley and Mount both start as Pulisic drops to the bench

The final fixture of Gameweek 1 takes place at 16:30 BST as Manchester United welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford.

There weren’t too many shocks upon the release of the teamsheets but perhaps the headline news was that both Mason Mount (£6.0m) and Ross Barkley (£6.0m) – rather than one or the other – start together in Frank Lampard’s first Premier League starting XI as Chelsea manager.

Christian Pulisic (£7.5m) is the man to make way, with the USA international dropping to the bench.

Pedro (£7.0m) completes the trio of attacking midfielders lining up behind lone striker Tammy Abraham (£7.0m).

N’Golo Kante (£5.0m) is only fit enough for a place on the bench, while Willian (£7.0m) and Antonio Rudiger (£6.0m) miss out.

Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (both £5.5m) are handed their competitive United debuts but Daniel James (£6.0m) is only a substitute.

Andreas Pereira (£5.0m) instead gets the nod and will line up in ‘the hole’, with Jesse Lingard (£6.5m) on the right flank and Marcus Rashford (£8.5m) stationed on the opposite wing.

An ‘out of position’ Anthony Martial (£7.5m) is reportedly set to lead the line.

Budget FPL forward Mason Greenwood (£4.5m) is on the bench, meanwhile.

Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Zouma, Emerson, Kovacic, Jorginho, Mount, Barkley, Pedro, Abraham.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof, McTominay, Pereira, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford, Martial.

GW3 will be an interesting one. For none Spurs owners particularly, (speaking as one), I wonder who it will be worth priotising to get in. Kane or Son.

102 points. Can't complain, but Tosshard was a bad move. What to do with him?

    A. Bench and play Dendoncker/Lundstram and swap out next round
    B. Sell, and if so, to whom?

Lascelles? It was a loose ball from Dummett, Lascelles came across to help and Schar didn't get back in time to cover Auba.

Ayoze. Norwich looked decent attacking on Friday. I don't think Newcastle's midfield and defence will give the Norwich attack as space as Liverpool, but a CS isn't assured.

They've spent enough on what they have. Instead of buying new toys, use the ones you paid big money for.

      Matic 40m, Fred 50m, Pogba 90m.

Nah, we're short of quality in midfield and can afford to buy, we should've got at least one.

To be fair, it didn't make sense to let Herrera leave and not replace him. Yet again, it didn't make sense to spend world record money on a CB when you had 5 or 6 already.

They had bigger issues which they didn't address. RW for example.

80m would have got them Pepe for example. The quality drop off between Pepe to Lingard is bigger than Maguire to Smalling imo.

I just think they misspent money, again.

Maguire is far better that what we had, he was overpriced but that's the amount they wanted and we needed him. Can't be too picky without CL football to offer.

Mahrez one of my fav fantasy players, I really want an excuse to bring Mahrez in. If he recreates that form playing for City, he can produce more then that the season Leicester won.

Jota could have bagged a hattie had he been sharper. He'll have good days ahead, as will Dendonk and Tielemans.

If you had no other pressing issues would you consider swapp8ng Kane out for Auba?

the one thing I learnt in my years on fantasy is never transfer out a player who just got you points..
it will bite you in the ass

You're not thinking this through - their prices will rise and you'll need to take a hit.

I have thought it through.. I held 0.5 itb. Hit 97 points....just have nothing better to do.
I agree though, there are too many potential pitfalls to make it worthwhile in the end.

Ah, you didn't say you have a spare 0.5. It makes it doable then. I still wouldn't.

dont do it then, those one week moves always go wrong i swear. You like this is the obvious move, but it wont go according to plan I bet ya. Did Arsenal really look that great today vs Newcastle?

Spurs can 100% score vs City at least one, and likely Kane or Moura is on that/involved

Abraham looks like he has goals in him plus Chelsea seems to playing attacking football which makes it even better.

Daft. He is the ideal 'Pool player. Probably the most professional and supportive player I've seen in my lifetime. And Klopp has already noticed.
