Fantasy Allsvenskan Gameweek 19

Before we get started on the preview for Fantasy Allsvenskan I have some minor updates ahead of the new Fantasy Premier League season. I’ll hopefully be able to churn out a few decent FPL-articles as well going forward and will become more active on Twitter, going from consumer to contributor… I’m @FF_Meltens if you want to discuss anything there, either Allsvenskan or FPL-related. I’ve very much enjoyed the community’s response to these articles so I’ve also started an FPL-league for you Fantasy Allsvenskan devotees, the league-code is dlo2nj if you want to join!

That’s enough of that, let’s get into the review/preview!

Blank Gameweek 18 review

BGW18 had reduced fixtures with AIK, Malmö, Norrköping, and Sundvall all without a fixture. That left us with a heavy emphasis on Djurgården, Göteborg, Hammarby and Häcken to deliver, along with some budget alternatives from AFC Eskilstuna. Hammarby had a tough game away to Kalmar (highlights can be seen here for those who want to see some howlers) and besides the fact Hammarby always seem to struggle at Kalmar, the main problems can be summarised in three points (bear with me, it’s therapeutic somehow):

  1. The physicality of Kalmar. Kalmar wasn’t afraid to really get stuck in and played very aggressively in their press, breaking up Hammarby’s intentions early and forcing the long ball frequently – a notoriously bad strategy for Hammarby when your main striker is Imad Khalili (6.9m) who doesn’t really win that many headers.
  2. Questionable refereeing. It’s all subjective of course but to me the referee Victor Wolf had a game to forget and looked a bit out of his element. With just ten games at Allsvenskan-level under his belt his inexperience showed, and unfortunately he became the main talking point after the game. The red card on Davor Blazevic (4.3m) was completely correct but the following situation which resulted in a penalty for Kalmar is, in my opinion (as well as both teams coaches), soft at best. Overall the refereeing lacked consistency and both sides got away with playing a bit too rough (Hammarby were in no way blameless by the way, they just handled it worse).
  3. Weak goalkeeping from Blazevic. Not only did he get himself sent off for a reckless challenge outside of the box, but he was also at fault for most off the horrific defensive situations that Hammarby got themselves into. He had to be bailed out by the defenders on multiple occasions, Mads Fenger (5.2m) putting in a real shift and saving certain goals more than once when Blazevic was outsmarted. Even though he conceded twice, Johan Wiland (4.9m) provided Hammarby with a lot more stability when he came in.

Muamer Tankovic (9.4m) netted a class goal on the break but was otherwise not that influential. Nikola Djurdjic (10.4m) had a good first half but vanished in the second, also getting his third yellow card of the season which results in a suspension for GW19 against Helsingborg. Imad Khalili didn’t see much of the ball on the ground and was the obvious fall guy as Wiland had to be subbed on. Alexander Kačaniklić (8.6m) had plenty of intentions but kept getting stuck on the last defender, great pass for the Tankovic goal though. All in all, not a great game for Hammarby but next two games (Helsingborg and Sundvall at home) should be a whole other ball-game so no need to rip up your teams just yet.

For Göteborg Robin Söder (7.6m) scored a brace and is now on four goals from his last four games, emerging as a potential Jordan Larsson replacement for the ones strapped for cash. Giorgi Kharaishvili (8.9m) meanwhile is on just three assists from his last ten games, being held up points-wise by his fantastic ability to get bonus points pretty much every game. It is a concern though (perhaps not this GW at home to Falkenberg) and something to look at when you play your second wildcard. Göteborg as a whole has actually only scored 8 goals in their last 10 games, in comparison to the 18 goals scored in their first 8 games. The loss of Benjamin Nygren to Russia and Patrick Karlsson-Lagemyr (6.6m) to injury along with Lasse Vibe’s (8.2m) continuing fitness-issues really has derailed Göteborg as an attacking force and they might need to bring someone in to help remedy this issue.

AFC Eskilstuna provided some sparks of life as Adi Nalic (5.6m) scored a brace and budget defender Kadir Hodzic (4.4m) came away with surprising eight-pointer. No luck for all the Gustav Jarl (4.3m) owners however as he blanked when called upon from the depths of our benches. Djurgården are now the league-leaders after their impressive win away to Elfsborg which finished 1-0. Their defence continues to impress (just three goals conceded in their last ten games!) and thankfully for fantasy managers, there’s been no rotation to take into account as they don’t play in Europe. Marcus Danielsson (6.0m), Aslak Fonn Witry (5.3m), Elliot Käck (5.7m), and forgotten man Jacob Une Larsson (5.4m) all start every game and they’re all bossing it, in different ways. Two home games against Sirius and AFC Eskilstuna looks promising, followed however by Malmö and AIK away which looks a lot less attractive.

The three most popular captains in the top 1k for gameweek 17, courtesy of GoktugErce:

  1. Muamer Tankovic; Captained by 37.9%, Effective Ownership of 134.2%, scored 7 points.
  2. Alexander Jeremejeff (10.0m); Captained by 24.7%, Effective Ownership of 83.0%, scored 9 points.
  3. Nikola Djurdjic; Captained by 18.1%, Effective Ownership of 98.1%, scored 1 point.

Top 1k average points for the gameweek was 56.3, compared to the overall average of 36 points.

Gameweek 19 preview

The “big boys” + Sundsvall returns, and we now have a full set of fixtures to look forward to! AIK, Norrköping and Malmö are still in Europe though (games on Thursday) so that needs to be monitored, expect the rotation to unfortunately not be over. New league-leaders Djurgården will look to start the gameweek off by putting pressure on the rest with a three-pointer at home to Sirius. Djurgården has won five of their last six games against Sirus and will be fancying their chances, but Sirius need to start worrying about just how close they’re getting to the bottom three in the league. AIK travel to AFC Eskilstuna with question-marks about the fitness of Chinedu Obasi (8.6m) with no news at the time of writing. How they will line up in defence (or overall) is a tough task to predict now and unfortunately (unless any game is re-scheduled) we won’t have the luxury of AIK going first in the GW until GW26, so no last-minute changes with line-ups released I’m afraid.

Malmö faces a tough task as they travel to Häcken, a home-side very much in need of proving their credentials against their top opponents and not “just” the likes of Sirius. Hammarby tries to bounce back at home to a Helsingborg side that isn’t looking especially solid, conceding seven goals in their last three games. No Djurdjic is a big loss and it begs the question; will this be the first game where we see new striker Aron Johansson (8.9m) get a start? What does that then mean for Khalili, is he shunted back into attacking midfield? We could also see Vladimir Rodic (8.2m) get a rare start if they want to keep Khalili up top.

Norrköping plays against an out of sorts Elfsborg side (four straight losses), where you do wonder just how the latter is going to rediscover their flow, with Jonathan Levi (7.7m) out injured for a long time and main threat Pawel Cibicki not getting to stay after the loan-deal expired earlier this summer. Göteborg host Falkenberg and Robin Söder will be eager to prove Göteborg are back at it, although the reverse fixture in GW15 ended as a 1-1 draw.

Players to target

Daleho Irandust (9.5m) got another assist and two offensive bonus points and with Häcken now out of the European qualifiers, rotation shouldn’t have to be a worry for him. Next four read Malmö (H), Örebro (a), AFC Eskilstuna (a), and Falkenberg (H) and he’s the chief creator in a side that’s got plenty of attacking talent and now could be a wise time to get him in.

Muhamed Buya Turay (9.5m) may not have been banging them in lately but Sirius and AFC Eskilstuna at home provide him with a solid platform to get some more points on the board and his linkup play with in particular Witry is nice to see. Robin Söder is however an almost two million cheaper alternative and in great form, and he’s also got good fixtures with Falkenberg (H), Helsingborg (a), Kalmar (H) and Sundsvall (a).

Captaincy thoughts

I fully expect Hammarby to be back at it and while it remains to be seen how they deal with Djurdjic being suspended, both Muamer Tankovic and Alexander Kačaniklić seems an as solid a bet as ever to keep returning. In fact, neither has blanked in the last five games and I don’t see Helsingborg at home as the one where it all falls apart (famous last words). Alexander Jeremejeff has only one blank in nine games at home, providing six goals and four assists. He might also feel like he has something to prove against Malmö who he failed to make an impact on before moving back to Häcken last season.

One final tip is, if you haven’t played the “Park the bus”-chip, GW20 looks an ideal time to do it with fixtures like; Djurgården-AFC Eskilstuna, Malmö-Falkenberg, AIK-Kalmar and Hammarby-Sundsvall (if you have any faith in Hammarby’s defence at all…). If you want to wildcard before that now GW19 is your last chance, however, if you can manage to get a decent back five out with just transfers that might be preferable and then you’d be able to save the wildcard for the fixture swings that’s impending. As always, best of luck to you this gameweek and if you want to talk fantasy football either comment here below or hit me up @FF_Meltens on Twitter!

With the blank gameweek behind us things are starting to look interesting with Djurgården as the new leaders ahead of the run-in. With AIK, Norrköping and Malmö still in Europe (possible rotation) and Nikola Djurdjic suspended, how are you attacking GW19? Any chip plans for GW19-20 where there are some nice fixtures? Who will you captain?

Hi Meltens, thanks for the great write up once again.

One free transfer this week so took out Jordan Larsson and I had enough money to take a one week punt on Molins of Malmo, I'm going to WC in GW 20.

Captain this week will, unsurprisingly, be Tankovic.

        Thanks! 🙂
Molins is an interesting option, I'd also look at Robin Söder (Falkenberg at home) and Kalle Holmberg (Elfsborg at home) in that category.

I think I'm leaning towards giving Kacaniklic another roll of the dice because of how involved he's been but Tankovic will have a high EO yet again so it's going to go down to the wire.

I'll probably get Tankovic in for the first time this season as I actually want to stay in the cup.

Can cope without Djurdjic for a week (funny to see him having a go at Blazevic in the highlights). Doesn't seem like the best week to get Jeremejeff or Strandberg in.

Could be tempted by a differential captain or Two Captains chip, I like the defensive options this week.

Tankovic double header at home seems an as good a time as any to get him in! 🙂
Yeah really nice defensive options as well this week! Who would you double captain in that case?

Looking at Wernersson and Tankovic but Kacaniklic, Witry and Kharaishvili all in contention

It still surprises me how often I just carry a transfer in Allsvenskan.

      Abrahamsson
      Witry - Danielsson - Wernersson - Mets
      Tankovic - Ring - Kacaniklic
      Jeremejeff - Kharaishvili - Islamovic

That starting XI should do it this week and I'll just take the question mark around Mets on the chin. If he misses out due to rotation, so be it. In that case, Ericsson comes on.

      Captain will be Tankovic again.

Used my bench boost earlier in the season, so now plan to deploy the two captain chip in GW20 with a Hammarby mid and AC on my mind. 🙂

It's been pretty stable now for a few weeks, with the same players performing week in week out so no need to switch when it's working out 🙂 AC and a Hammarby mid could prove a very canny move for a double cap in GW20, as could a Djurgården def (never captain a defender but, you know, AFC Eskilstuna at home).

Good summary and analysis. I joined the league. One week punt Djurdjic to Buya T and activated two captains (Tanken and Buya)

Ooh nice, I think people have (justifiably so) forgotten a bit about Buya because of his indifferent form. IF (and that's a big if) he gets his stuff together again he could be very interesting for the second half of the season. At home to Sirius, he could do some damage!

Cheers, Meltens. Also joined the league.

I'm on my WC this week and planning to play PTB next one. My squad for the time being:

    Linner - Saxton
    Danielsson - Kack - Witry - Mets - Granli
    AC - Tankovic - Kacaniklic - Svensson - Jarl
    Djurdjic - Kharaishvili - Offia

Djurdjic looks like a good pick despite the suspension. I'll probably shift one of the Djurgarden guys to a Malmo defender next week as well, and go to the PTB with 2 Djurgarden - 2 AIK and 1 Malmo.

Not sure about Granli though, but if he's fit for this weekend then he might play both league games in GW19-20.

I will look to get Irandust soon.

      Looks solid!

I know Saxton is just a back-up, but I don't expect him to get much more gametime with Mitov signed from Norrköping. I'm concidering a similar team myself when wildcarding, but will try to fit in 4 premium midfielders if I'm only gonna have 2 premium strikers. I do realize this could be difficult for you though, since you need to spend much on defence for your PTB-chip. Granli is a huge gamble and one I wouldn't trust using my PTB-chip. Triple Djurgården looks great though, so I'd rather keep that!

Thanks! You might be right about Granli, I guess it would be a better idea to go with real nailed on defenders. I just don't know who, though. But at the same time, I really want to get two defenders to maximize my chances. It is also really annoying that AIK-Kalmar game was moved forward a day so we will not get the lineups before the deadline.

Mets only missed GW15 and 16 so he looks the safest. It's the same for Karlsson as well. I guess the most sensible thing would be going with them (although I can't afford Malmo defenders then and I have to get 3 DIF + 2 AIK).

It's certainly difficult. Om paper, the fixtures looks ideal for PTB, but the european qualyfiers and rotation threats makes it hard to tell who's gonna play or not. I agree that Karlsson and Mets looks most nailed on, but even Mets have been rotated recently. For Malmö I guess Larsson is the best pick, especially since he'll get a good rest against Häcken, being suspended. I still like the idea of a triple Djurgården defence, although its many eggs in one basket.

Should also mention about Granli that he was subbed in extra time against Maribor a week ago and was not in the squad for the game on thursday.

Thanks again for another great article Meltens! I watched that spectacle in Kalmar and it was absolutely chocking. I know the quality of the play isn't the best in Allsvenskan, but that's not an excuse for another refering performances like that.

My team is looking okay for this GW, but could have been a lot better if Djurdjic and Calisir wernt suspended. With 3/4 of the back line suspended I can only hope that Göteborg will conceded, to disappoint all the Wernersson owners. Will finally transfer Brorsson out, but not until after tonights european games.

Not sure if I'll play FPL this season, but if I decided to I'll join the league!

Cheers! Yeah I hasten to have a dig at the officials most of the time, feels like it's a bit of a cop out but when they are so obviously affecting how the game is being played I think it's a problem. Wouldn't mind seeing him get to train a bit more with other clubs than Hammarby involved 😉

You can always zombie-team it in FPL if nothing else, always a fun experiment! 🙂

Nothing scheduled, would be if any of the Swedish teams go far in Europe and apply for a game being moved because of fixture congestion. The DGWs were set at the start of the season (applied and approved) and the Swedish FA don’t tend to move games without a long notice ahead of time. Another DGW looks unlikely, in my opinion.

Is this a bad GW to play the WC? This is my current team (players marked (*) are players I'm looking to replace):

    Abrahamsson
    Wetnersson - Danielsson - Larson*
    Kačaniklić - Tanković - Nalic - Rogić*
Kharaishvili - Buya Turay - Jeremejeff
    (Joelsson* - Kossounou* - Jarl - Hodzic*)

I've considered doing that. I just transferred Larson out for Witry, so I'll have o make a decision if WC is worth it this GW. Next week looks good for PTB too…

Yeah I wanted to play PTB in GW20 also, but with the roulette about the starting defenders in AIK and Malmo, AND the fact that I have a lot of players who need 1 more YC to be suspended, I have decided to wait and save the FT and try to realize who will start in the mentioned teams in GW20.

A bit subjective as always but I think Djurgården looks an important part of a PTB right now so ideally you’d want them to have a nice game at home + someone of AIK/Göteborg/Malmö/Norrköping as well. GW25 looks a decent time as well with the fixtures but I’m pretty set on next week for my squad.

Screw it; WC played. Current lineup is:

            Abrahamsson (might go Linnér)
            Wernersson - Danielsson - Witry - Mets
            Kačaniklić - Tanković - Ulvestad
            Kharaishvili - Söder - Jeremejeff
            (Joelsson - Dagerstål - Nalic - Jarl)

Can't find a spot for Djurdic, but he doesn't play this GW anyway. Could take a punt on Khalili instead of course.

Latest on Jermejeff is he's likely to move but will start against Malmö: https://www.gp.se/sport/fotboll/n%C3%A4ra-flytt-men-ser-ut-att-starta-mot-mff-1.17015100
Ulvestad not really a fantasy player in my mind although he's good in general. I'd also consider Käck instead of Dagerstål if looking to PTB next GW, although triple Djurgården def would be a bit annoying for GW21-22 vs Malmö and AIK. If going Norrköping I think Krogh Gersson is the standout pick defensively, very good overall for points.

If you really want to punt (not sure it's advisable though) Aron Johansson 'should' get a start against Helsingborg tomorrow with Djurdjic out, could be gold. Long term I'm not so sure though, he's looked a bit rusty and that would probably mean Khalili misses out which seems rough given his current form. Buya Turay also an option for the Jeremejeff spot although I see you already had him pre-WC ;D

Bit worried about going with Jeremejeff, but at that price he can easily become another striker option should he leave.

I'm really tempted by triple Djurgården, but I don't know if I want to put too many eggs in one basket. I'll likely pick Krogh Gersson unless I need some extra cash to spend elsewhere.

Thanks for the tip re. Aron Johansson. Might stay away from Khalili then. Re. Ulvestad, I would like to pick another player, but are there any interesting options in that price bracket?

Well the best option in that bracket seems to be Khalili though! 😀 Would probably still go with him tbh.

It seems there are 4 spots on Hammarby attack and 5 players fighting for them really (with Rodic and Bengtsson somewhere just outside in the mix). Kaca and Tank are given. Djurdjic has given him no reason to drop him but I'd say Djurdjic, Khalili and Johansson are fighting it out for two spots, currently Khalili is ahead and I see no reason why he'd all of a sudden get dropped if he keeps delivering, Johansson might be eased into it for a long while still.

Yes, that's a good point. Right ow I have Krogh Gersson first on bench, with just enough funds to do Ulvestad > Khalili.

Oh well, why not take the chance! 😀

Khalili is a fun "punt" as he might just become template in a few weeks, or completely fade away. I'm on the Khalili-Tank-Kaca treble personally. Good luck! 🙂

Yes, I guess Khalili is a punt that might pay off – or not at all. But at that price I guess you can't complain!

Thanks Meltens. Guess I should use wc to setup for PTB. But frankly don't know what I'm doing so will leave both for later in the season, and hope. Joined the league

Mets, Wernersson, Sandberg, Bjorkman, Isherwood - so not great with 0.3m itb
Granli perhaps but wasn't in midweek squad and no info

Hmm yeah that's a tough one with Björkman and Isherwood. If you don't want to WC right now and reluctant to take hits GW25 seems a decent time also for parking the bus with Djurgården-Falkenberg, Norrköping-AFC Eskilstuna and Malmö-Helsingborg.

75 points so far with Wernersson, Rogic & Karaishvilli to go... some big scores flying about again. Slight increase from 570 to 450 OR. It's such high quality near the top of the ranks!

Top 1k is really competitive and a lot of similar players so tough to make up ground right now. AC + Hammarby mids, AIK/Djurgården defs and Kharaishvili/Jeremejeff all performing makes a solid template but it will shift eventually. Bahoui one to monitor as an explosive differential.

Thanks for the differential tip Meltens - his first minutes were last wee? Was he transferred in?

Also, who are his main rivals for a place in the XI?

Yeah first minutes in the league, he did get 15 in the qualifiers as well. Signed by AIK at the same time as Felix Michel. Not quite sure where he'll fit in but he's got qualities way beyond this league and will be one to look at quite soon. I'll monitor the lineups and minutes for AIK on Thursday closely.

He's pretty capable of playing anywhere in the midfield (attack-wise) and as a striker which he appeared to be against AFC. Not sure what they'll do when everyone is fit and if they drop out of Europe...

I'm tempted to do Rogic to Bahoui - will wait until last minute before deciding.

Then banking one FT for next week, Larsson to Strandberg is an option as after the Hacken match they have three favourable fixtures. Then I can put out any fires with the other FT

Nice job! I was looking at a big red arrow yesterday when Lauritsen came to the rescue and turned it around with his 14p haul. Small green arrow now, but only Yusuf and Khariashvili left, so it could be difficult to keep my top 15 spot.

I've been very fortunate with my defensive transfers since the Brorsson fiasco in GW11. Both Calisir and Lauritsen scored in the first game, and Toivio after just 4 games.

I'm now closely monitoring the potential transfer for Alexander Jeremejeff. If he's off, I'll likely wildcard this GW even though I have a very strong team for the weekend. Didn't plan to wildcard until the fixure swing aroung GW24-25, but if Jeremejeff is off I might as well do it now and switch from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2. I'm not sure it would help to save the wildcard since all top teams have such mixed fixtures in GW24-30 anyway.

Hi Bob! Hope all is well 🙂

I've got Irandust but with Jeremejeff leaving now confirmed (https://www.svt.se/sport/fotboll/officiellt-alexander-jeremjeff-lamnar-hacken) I'm not sold on his prospects as much, the replacement for Jeremejeff (Gustaf Nilsson) has hardly set the world alight previously. Considering moving for either AC or Bahoui soon and giving up on Irandust. Thoughts? Fixtures are still good though.

Hi! All is well here, just the usual fantasy headache ;-). Hope you're fine aswell!

Jeremejeff leaving is a blow, but I think it's a bit hasty to rule out a player like Irandust because of it. Häcken are still an attacking minded side, with good fixtures and plenty of attacking talent like Paulinho, Yasin and Lundberg. I don't expect that to change just because Jeremejeff is leaving, and I'm looking at getting Irandust myself, eighter this GW on wildcard or next.

Bahoui is a superb player, but he doesn't appeal to me right now. AIK's fixtures are taking a major swing now, and since they're usually a defensive playing team, I'm not concidering any of theire attackers with fixtures against Östersund, Djurgården, Häcken, Hammarby and Göteborg. In fact, I've decided to go completely without AIK players on my wildcard, much due to the never ending rotation and the difficult fixtures. AC on the other hand is always a superb pick, and one I'm looking at getting as soon as possible. A slight rotation risk there, but with Malmö now chasing in the league I don't think they can afford to rest him on to many occations.

Haha same for me, starting the FPL-season without City has been testing though I still had a decent week. In Allsvenskan it's all green arrows lately so that's nice 🙂

Yeah Häcken should be fine, hopefully, the new signing settles in immediately. Paulinho is still suspended for this week though. Will monitor AIK lineups and minutes in Europe, might want a def for PTB but not sure who yet (ideally Lundström).

Jeremejeff out leaves me with three options, all pretty equal in the end.

          1) Save transfer, play Calisir this week and get AC + Offia for Jeremejeff and Yusuf next week. The upside is that I'll be able to hold my wildcard a little longer.

          2) Wildcard this week. The upside is that I'll be able to get AC and Käck in this GW, the downside is that it means taking Mets and Ring out.

          3) Wildcard next GW. Use this weeks transfer on a one week punt on a Malmö attacker against Falkenberg. That would allow me to keep Mets and Ring for another week, and also get some Malmö coverage against Falkenberg. The downside is I wont get AC, and that I'll have to gamble on a Malmö attacker who might not start.

Was struggling a bit with my wildcard team until I gave up the idea of finding a Malmö or AIK defender who plays. Now looking to switch from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 since there's just more value in defence and midfield than attack, and going with just AC from Malmö and no AIK players. Feels like a bit of a waste to wildcard for just 5-6 transfers, the core will still be the same, but I just don't see any better time to use the wildcard.

I was about to ask why you would use your WC, but then you explained with the closing statement.

I too am yet to use mine and it’s really because i have good momentum at the moment. Also have all my chips available so really need to nail a plan.

3 seems the best plan. AC is ticking away but other options should become available such as Rosenberg.

          Dahlin
          Wernersson Danielsson Witry Dimitriadis
          Tankovic Ring Kacaniklic
          Jeremejeff* Islamovic Kharaishvili

          Brattberg Sandberg Larsson Jarl

          2FT & All chips & wildcard available.

I haven’t settled on my chip strategy just yet but I’ve marked 23&25 as candidate gameweeks.

Sandberg feels like a waste of a Bajen spot with Djurdic missing from my team. Other 2 Hammarby boys are killing it.

          Suggestions on chip strategy appreciated.

GBG, DIF, AIK defence atm so they are teams for PTB.

Well done having 2ft and all the chips left! If you're planning on wildcarding soon, you might use your free transfers for some short term punts?

I'd use the wildcard to prepare for PTB since it's by far the most powerful chip. In the first half of the season I would have said that AIK defenders were essentials for all teams, especielly when playing PTB, but now I'd stay away from them completely. They're likely to qualify for the next round in Europa League, which means that Norlings obsessive rotation will continue. The same could be said about Malmö and theire defence. Even if AIK go out of europe, I'd still only concider Mets and Karlsson since there's so much uncertainty with the rest of the defence. For PTB I'd defenitly target GW25, which means using your wildcard in GW24 in order to prepare for it.

            Djurgården - Falkenberg
            Häcken - Elfsborg
            Norrköping - AFC
            Malmö - Helsingborg

Depending on how much money you're willing to spend, I'd target players like Witry, Käck, Danielsson, Gerson, Lauritsen, Toivio, Lindgren, and if you're willing to gamble perhaps a Malmö defender as well. Defensivly, Djurgården seems to be the new AIK, but with theire defenders also offering attacking potential, so I'd concider triple up Djurgården. They all have good fixtures in GW24 aswell, so you'll be able to benefit from it that GW too.

The other chips are more difficult to find space for, but perhaps "Attack" in GW26? Norrköping, Malmö and Hammarby all have good fixtures that GW, although it might be difficult to afford attackers from those teams with so much money invested in defence for PTB. The "Två kaptener" chip is easier to use, perhaps this GW already? Witry + Danielsson or Witry/Danielsson + Tankovic?

Firstly thanks for the feedback. There’s a lot there to ponder over.

I am coming round to PTB this GW given I have Witry Danielsson (DIF v AFC) Dimitriadis (AIK v Kalmar) Wernersson (GBG v HIF). I was thinking of using my 2 FT to do Sandberg & Jeremejeff to Malmö defender (v FFF) & Djurdic.

              I would leave me with:

              Dahlin
              Witry (c) Danielsson (c) Dimitriadis (c) Wernersson (c) Malmö (c)
              Ring Tankovic Kacaniklic
              Djurdic Islamovic Kharaishvili

Wildcard could still be used then to take advantage of those favourable fixtures in GW25 for 2 (c).

It's certainly not a bad idea, although I still would have prefered PTB in GW25. The fixtures are slightly better, and AIK could also be concidered against Göteborg since they will be out of Europe by then. I just think there are too much uncertaincy regarding rotation in AIK and Malmö right now, and Helsingborg away is not an ideal fixture for Göteborg.

Not concidering using "Två kaptener" instead? Witry, Danielsson, Djurdjic and Tankovic are all great options this GW.

I am very tempted. Lovely Hammarby fixture home to Sundsvall.

I never know who to captain between Tankovic and Kacaniklic... could be nice to do both. Now I’m throwing Djurdic in the mix too.
