How newly-promoted players performed in Gameweek 1

A number of newly-promoted players caught our attention in the opening weekend of Fantasy Premier League action.

Norwich City were thrashed 4-1 at Liverpool but still caused their illustrious hosts plenty of problems.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa proved a stiff test for Spurs on Saturday evening while Sheffield United were the first of last season’s promoted clubs to earn a point in 2019/20.

We’ve gone over the numbers to see which of their players could provide some value this season.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 campaign can access it in full.

Everyone talking about Pukki, but how about Maupay?

I think he'll do really well in that Brighton team this season, and will surely start next GW

What's the best route to get Sterling for GW3?

    Pope
    VVD Robbo digne
    Salah Bernardo Fraser Perez
    Auba Wesley Wilson

Button Lundstrum Rico Dendoncker | 0 ITB

Probably Auba (plays LIV GW3) makes way. But a few routes:

    a) Bernardo or Perez > a cheaper mid in GW2, Fraser+Auba > Sterling+fwd
    b) Bernardo > 6.9 or less (McGinn?) in GW2, Dendoncker+Auba > Sterling+4.5

Open to other good routes too

Yep, that would be rolling the FT this week and no hits which is good. But would mean loss of value on Bernardo and I'd possibly bench him for Lundstrum to avoid a cameo this week. Plus I would have double BOU for Man City in GW3...

2 are enough otherwise you are losing top much elsewhere

No one is a must ever, there is always another way to get points.

Especially versus big hitters when most weeks you won’t captain them.

Your call. I think I would, if nothing else more pressing, but could equally backfire

This is whats worrying me right now. I can keep him as a player, but the pricedrop will ble annoying.

On the other side we have very little information so going for transfer will not be that smart imo.

Get rid. Bernardo Silva's output has never been appealing.

I'm getting him in as soon as I can.
If he drops, he's going back up soon enough. Pep loves him.

Will be priced out of King to Pukki if Pukki rises. Tough decisions

Well if they are gonna go play with that attitude they played against champions league winners, i don't think fixture will matter, they might concede a lot but they'll score too
