Lacazette joins Aubameyang in Arsenal attack for Burnley visit

Unai Emery has made three changes to Arsenal’s opening Premier League win against Newcastle with David Luiz (£6.0m) Dani Ceballos (£5.5m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.5m) starting for the Gunners against Burnley.

The Spaniard has opted to drop Callum Chambers (£4.5m) to give Brazilian Luiz his Arsenal debut, whilst handing Ceballos his first start.

Lacazette also joins the Arsenal attack with Henrik Mhikitaryan (£7.0m) dropping to the bench.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.0m), selected by 29% of managers and who came second in our Gameweek 2 captaincy poll with 17.84% of the vote, has retained his started berth.

He found the net on opening weekend at Newcastle and will have the expectation of many a Fantasy manager on his shoulders this lunch-time.

Arsenal academy duo Joe Willock (£5.5m) and Reiss Nelson (£5.0m) will also start their second successive league games for the club after impressing at St. James’ Park.

Alongside Ceballos, Willock and Nelson could offer value for money if they can start racking up some Fantasy points – so there will be plenty of attention on them this afternoon.

Meanwhile, for Burnley, Sean Dyche has opted to name an unchanged starting XI following the Clarets’ impressive 3-0 victory over Southampton last weekend.

Dyche’s backline of Matt Lowton (£4.5m) James Tarkowski (£5.0m) Ben Mee (£5.0m) and Erik Pieters (£4.5m) will be marshalled by keeper Nick Pope (£4.5m) as the Clarets bid to keep yet another clean-sheet.

Striker Ashley Barnes (£6.5m) scored a brace last weekend, and Dyche will be hoping his talismanic striker can have a similar impact against Emery’s Arsenal.

Arsenal XI: Leno; Monreal, Sokratis, D Luiz, Maitland-Niles; Willock, Guendouzi, Ceballos; Nelson, Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Burnley XI: Pope; Pieters, Mee, Tarkowski, Lowton; McNeil, Westwood, Cork, Gudmundsson; Barnes, Wood.

So more people are hurt by the inadequate website, no?

Growth of a project usually allows for improvement, doesn't justify a decline.

It always amazes me the amount of vitriol directed at the level of service provided by a free game

They get so much exposure from the game it probably translates into a lot of advertisement revenue

Yet it isn't free - it piggybacks on BPL sponsors and gets money from BPL too. There are ads (even on our kits), there are 7 million customers who might buy jerseys and other stuff. Maybe buy an EA game. Maybe drink Budweiser.

FPL isn't an open source amateur project, it's a big officially licenced business with sponsors. And you, my friend, don't understand that.

Anthony Martial is determined to score more goals and live up to expectations, now that he’s regained Manchester United’s no.9 shirt.

Following Romelu Lukaku’s transfer to Inter Milan, the 23-year-old moved from no.11 to return to the no.9 jersey he wore when he first arrived at the club in 2015. The switch suggested Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has plans to utilise the forward in a more central position, which was the case in our league opener against Chelsea – a role he enjoyed and hopes to prove his worth in throughout the season ahead.

“Since I was a young kid, I have always played as a striker but, then again, I’m fine with playing more out wide as it’s a position that I enjoy playing. Now I’ve taken the number nine shirt back once again, all Ole has said to me is that I have a lot of responsibility and I have to score goals, so that’s what I’m trying to do."

“But it’s a real pleasure to find myself back in that more central role so I hope I can really help the team from there and go on to score plenty of goals.”

I captained Sterling thinking that no one would have him as captain. Turns out that 95% of my mini league are captaining Sterling and don’t have Salah.

Anyone else find it a bit annoying that you can't look at rivals transfer history? Means you have to actually scour through their teams from last week and this week player-by-player to work out which player they brought in.

    1. The Ejiptian King
      • 5 Years
      4 years, 8 months ago

Yeah, it's annoying, I think it's a good change that you can't see how many people have made during the week but there should be an easier way of seeing when the game has updated.
