Aguero returns to Man City starting line-up

Sergio Aguero (£12.0m) returns to the Manchester City starting line-up as Tottenham Hotspur come to the Etihad Stadium.

The Argentinian striker comes in for Gabriel Jesus (£9.5m), who drops to the bench.

Also coming out of the side is Riyad Mahrez (£8.5m), who has been replaced by the returning Bernardo Silva (£8.0m).

Pep Guardiola has opted not to rotate his full-backs though as both Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.5m) and Kyle Walker (£6.0m) retain their starting berths.

However, John Stones (£5.5m) drops out of the side altogether with a rectus femoris strain, so Nicolas Otamendi (£5.4m) comes in at centre-back.

Opponents Spurs have made just one change from the team that beat Aston Villa and it’s hard to argue that it’s the right one.

Christian Eriksen (£9.0m) featured only as a substitute in Gameweek 1 and transformed Spurs’ fortunes when he came onto the pitch.

Therefore, Mauricio Pochettino has put him back into the starting line-up for Gameweek 2, Lucas Moura (£7.5m) the man to make way.

Man City XI: Ederson; Zinchenko, Laporte, Otamendi, Walker; De Bruyne, Gündogan, Rodrigo; Sterling, Aguero, B Silva.

Spurs XI: Lloris; Rose, D Sánchez, Alderweireld, Walker-Peters; Ndombele, Sissoko, Winks; Eriksen, Lamela; Kane.

I guess if Pukki somehow got injured before the next deadline (and we'd hear about it), you could easily push the WC button then.

Yeah it would have been a bold move and I almost did it but thought nah like people said I got auba for a reason so why not captain him. So In the end talked myself out of it

yea, the team either plays to Kanes strengths or they dont. TBh I think the team as a whole perform way better when they dont play for Kane. But your right Kane next gw will be good no doubt

I might be biased, but I think that was a handball and a good call. Had it been deflected off someone to his arm then I would say it was unfair to give it as a handball but this came directly from the corner to his arm. Don't understand what Andy Gray is on about

You can't argue against a state owned football club. So unfair that they aren't allowed to cheat isn't it? No more than a West Brom until a human rights abuser took them over but the press won't have a bad word said against them! It's incredible. Funny though 😀

Could be a levelled. Eyebrows giving it all out to the ref line a spoiled kid was hilarious!! So unfair that they can't buy VAR. I'm sure a brown envelope or 2 will head the way of VAR soon enough though.
