How good are Pukki’s upcoming fixtures after hat-trick heroics?

Teemu Pukki (£6.8m) has already taken FPL by storm, scoring four goals in his first two Premier League matches.

Fantasy managers are flocking to sign the Norwich forward, with a third price rise of the season occurring overnight.

The hat-trick scored against Newcastle in Gameweek 2 sent the demand for Pukki into overdrive, but his new owners were clearly also impressed with his ability to score even at Anfield in Gameweek 1.

However, there are still some who are a little concerned about Norwich’s upcoming fixtures.

So we’ve analysed the numbers recorded so far this season to test whether or not Pukki is a sensible signing for Gameweek 3.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.

Have Pukki’s underlying statistics been good?

Lessons learned from Gameweek 2

    Wilson > Rashford for free
    or
    Wilson & Digne > Kane & Kelly for -4

How about you lose one of TAA or Robbo now to fund it? Pool’s defensive stats thus far are poor and Arsenal have significant attacking threat.

I'm deliberating something pretty similiar myself. On one hand I know that the free transfer is probably the better option. On the other, I can see Kane bagging a hat-trick against Newcastle.

Not a problem if you get the captain call right.

Look at week 1 for a very similar set of fixtures for City Liverpool and Spurs. Arsenal aren't that much likelier in defence than Norwich perhaps, Bournemouth closely parallel WH and I don't see any difference really between Newcastle and Villa defence.

Think the biggest issue is this coming GW - though it's better than having 9.5m invested in Son and him not play (which is the risk I'm taking by the way)

Really tempted to do the same. Kane always a weird one but Son when firing is insane

Ownership of their players isn't very high, so it's not too scary to go without. I wouldn't go near Kane with how deep he plays, but i'm taking a gamble on Son as he's a fantastic differential that could explode this week.

I went Son too. He's had a preseason, he's had a rest, he's not injured... surely he will start. Thinking of armband too. Doubledown.

Yes, I do feel united might find things harder than expected vs Palace. They need space in behind and feel that we might see a bit of a run of low scoring united games.

I want to move Coleman out for Maguire soon but already taken a -4 this week and feel there is priority.

      GK Pope
      DEF AWB, KWP, Mina, Lundstrum
      MID Salah, KDB, Sterling, Dendonker
      FWD Kane, Rashford

      Subs Cantwell, Soyuncu, Wickham

No Liverpool defence is what's missing, could do Salah to Mane and then Mina or AWB to VVD. Problem with that is that each week the majority of my defenders will be home or away, the current set up evens that out.

Moise Kean - what do we think dudes? Interesting snapshot below

      Moise Kean introduces himself
Subdued in impact thanks to a red card in the opening match, Moise Kean let Evertonians know what they can expect from him this season. Subbed on with just under 20 minutes left to play, the young striker made an immediate impression on the Goodison faithful, running at the winded Watford defense.

With a scary blend of skills, speed and strength, Kean sliced his way through the opposition and nearly netted himself two goals. He was certainly unlucky not to get his first goal in blue under his belt, but his performance was very impressive. While Dominic Calvert-Lewin has a fantastic work rate, Kean has that special something that will make him a nightmare for opposing defenses across the league.

Lovely fixtures too and DCL couldn’t score furniture with a chainsaw

I'm planning on Wilson > Kean this week. Just waiting for 90 minutes (and had more important 2FT already). I'm a blue so the decision is easy but predict Pukki + Kean + Kane will be very common WC teams at the international break.

Sterling is both a safer (City are amazing, virtually guaranteed chances) and more explosive (he's a mid) captain choice than Kane, really can't shake the feeling that Raz is the best c this week but Harry way more exciting and Newcastle are utter toilet. Gonna cling on to the fact that City only won 1-0 at Bournemouth last season.

I'm the other way (also don't have Sterling). Think Kane + Son will tear Newcastle a new one. Got 5-0 home win pencilled on the acca.

A possibility. Just not sure how Spurs will line up, and little to grumble about with Sterling/Man city so far - plus extra pts potential for goals/cs

I agree, xG was 1.60, but a more clinical City would have scored more. You'd also expect Bournemouth to be a little more adventurous this time, which will help Sterling and co.

Do Wilson > Pukki and wait on Digne news? If he's out for a few games (does seem unlikely) but he could fall 0.1 - then you get price rise as he's immediately picked up again.

Cancelo signing looks to me like Pep giving himself the option of 5 atb, with Mendy and Cancelo very advanced and maybe Walker as a CB. Makes even more sense with Sane's injury.

Agree with AV that there will be rotation, barring injuries I'd imagine we will arrive at a point where only Laporte is reliable.
That said, if Pep did regularly roll out a back 5, 5.5 for an attacking City wingback would be amazing
