Perez, Bernardo and Deulofeu among the benched FPL assets in Gameweek 4

Six Premier League matches kick off at 15:00 BST today, with Manchester City v Brighton and Hove Albion among the games taking place this afternoon.

A number of key Fantasy Premier League assets have dropped to the bench, one of whom is Bernardo Silva: the Portugal international is replaced on the right flank by Riyad Mahrez for the second time this season.

Rodri ousts Ilkay Gundogan from central midfield in Pep Guardiola’s only other change.

Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kevin De Bruyne all start.

Graham Potter has had a bit of a reshuffle, with Solly March joining the front three and Bernardo coming in at left wing-back.

Adam Webster replaces Shane Duffy at centre-half, while there is another start for Leandro Trossard.

Fikayo Tomori makes his first start for Chelsea in place of Andreas Christensen, who drops to the bench.

That is Frank Lampard’s only change, with opposite number Chris Wilder also making only one alteration: Oli McBurnie in for David McGoldrick.

Ayoze Perez has paid the price for a sluggish start to the season as he drops to the bench for Leicester’s match with Bournemouth.

Ben Chilwell, Wilfred Ndidi, Harvey Barnes and Marc Albrighton are recalled as Christian Fuchs, Hamza Choudhury and Dennis Praet also make way.

Harry Wilson in for Charlie Daniels is Eddie Howe’s only change.

Javi Gracia has made three changes from the West Ham defeat and appears to be going with a wing-back system: Jose Holebas, the injured Etienne Capoue and Gerard Deulofeu make way, with Christian Kabasele, Daryl Janmaat and Roberto Pereyra taking their places.

Amid all the injury talk at Newcastle, there are only two changes: Christian Atsu and Jetro Willems in for the sidelined Allan Saint-Maximin and Matt Ritchie.

West Ham have named an unchanged side from their win against Watford, while Daniel Farke has made just one alteration from Gameweek 3: Christoph Zimmermann replacing the injured Grant Hanley at centre-back.

Dean Smith and Roy Hodgson have named unchanged teams from Gameweek 3 as Crystal Palace take on Aston Villa at Selhurst Park.

I would. So little changes in total doesn’t merit the wildcard

Is it too much to ask for a Liverpool clean sheet?

FPL logic... 8m striker (Callum Wilson) scores 5, 5, 5, 5 over 4 weeks... gets sold so much that he's dropped to 7.8m. 20 points, 8 million, a 2.5 : 1 ratio. Sterling by contrast has a 3.08 : 1 ratio, but is widely considered to be THE player of the season. I'm not sure the disparity adds up.

In Fantasy WWE the ratio was always key. A different system to be sure, but you wanted the cheap wrestlers you knew would rack up consistent points, only going for the big names when title matches and storylines were playing out. Is a return of 5 per week not enough for an 8m player? When you consider King took a penalty ahead of him (I believe the Cherries don't let fouled players take their spot kicks, which is only right IMO)?

International break looms, I've 2 players yet to come (54 + Ceballos + Jimenez), going to be a week of stats and study.

I've been saying this every week but there comes a point where a good option maybe not be as great as others - Haller, Pukki and maybe even Ayew have better PPMs and those forwards allow me a midfield of Salah Sterling KDB and Martial so I've sold him

      Good score.

An interesting statistic is to look at the % of your total points across a season that come from your captain. Puts things into perspective.
