Key FPL assets all start as Burnley face Liverpool

The eighth and final Premier League match of a busy Saturday kicks off at 17:30 BST, with Liverpool the visitors to Turf Moor.

The team news is very straightforward as there is just one change to the starting XIs in all: Aaron Lennon (£4.9m) replacing the injured Johann Berg Gudmundsson (£6.0m) on the right flank for Burnley.

Jurgen Klopp names the same 11 players who lined up for the victory over Arsenal last Saturday.

Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) is the second-most-captained player of Gameweek 4, having been handed the armband by over one million FPL managers.

Liverpool put seven goals past the Clarets in their two meetings last season, with Roberto Firmino (£9.5m) scoring three of them.

The Reds are yet to keep a clean sheet this season, while Sean Dyche’s side recorded a shut-out in their only previous home league game this season: against Southampton in Gameweek 1.

Ashley Barnes (£6.7m) has scored in each of his three league appearances this season and was bought by over 250,000 Fantasy bosses in the build-up to Gameweek 4.

Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson (£6.9m) was the second-most-sold defender of this current Gameweek, having been offloaded by over 190,000 FPL managers.

Burnley XI: Pope; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Pieters, Lennon, Cork, Westwood, McNeil, Barnes, Wood.

Liverpool XI: Adrían; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Matip, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Mané, Firmino.

Why does Barnes get substituted so often? I think is he is better than Wood by a country mile.

Wood was taken out in gw 3 if I'm not wrong.
Nothing like formula i guess. One who's more tired goes off maybe

What is the meaning of country mile? I know 1 mile is1.6km? So what is country mile?

Roads in the country are windy and so takes longer to travel. Something like that.

it is slang because a mile in the countryside appears to go on for longer than a usual mile, due to the surroundings (well i'm just guessing to honest, but you get the idea)

Even though in some 'country' it is a straight line. A stupid saying, really.

It is derived in the UK where ‘ country roads’ are generally windy, therefore a very valid, old saying.

Lol, yeah if you're one of the 1 pct. (approx!) of the world that lives in the UK and also speaks English! Provincial old school thinking!

Also, is mile still used there, instead of km?

                Factually correct.

But to be fair it is an English saying so on a purely etymological basis you are a tad off the mark.

On the measurement front we are getting around to using the KM a lot more. I was at school
In the 80’s so happy with both.

Is this the right time to apologise for Brexit or should steer clear of that particular topic?

Yes, Im aware its an English saying and correct for 'them'. Just giving you some hell 😉

As for Brexit, boy, thats a complex topic I think. I dont live over there so I dont have first hand experience with the pos and negs of being in the EU, but, I would think, if I was a small nation, or group of them, Id want to be a part of something LARGER, for economic purposes alone! Can it be said that being an EU member has HURT the UKs economy, stunted its future? That may be the best way to determine if its a good idea or not.

Heh! We probably would...my grandmother was from Chiswick and I had a lot of exposure to the English since there were many in New York that arrived here when my Nan did. They formed a little community where they'd get together (about 8 of them) quite often, raised kids together and we had a great (ironically!) 4th of July picnic each year hosted by UK War Veterans group that was super fun each year...sack races, three legged races, egg balancing races, meat pies, bagpipers...the whole shebang. And we all drink tea with milk (some w/ sugar too!)

My team is likely falling this week, due to the -8 I took (KDB, Mount, Haller in, so at least they produced) but Sterling Cap failed badly.

Also enjoy the irony in the picnics and your username.

We call the egg-balancing races an ‘egg and spoon race’ but hey, what’s in a name.

Ahh very cool...Yeah, she survived the Blitz, got shipped out to Wales to live with complete strangers when she was a young teenager...tough stock! I knew my great grandparents too, they came to live in NY for a brief time, but missed home (they were around 70 yrs old at the time) and moved back to Chiswick and Clovelly Lane (I still recall their street, they used to send me post cards and gifts from there).

Yes, egg and spoon! I remember that name now...it was sooooo long ago (the annual picnic ended around 1986).

My username was meant to wind folks up, for sure, since no one there thinks anyone here knows anything about, ahem, soccer. I am here to prove otherwise and I'm one of the best fantasy EPL players in the world (was 401 in FFS Hall of Fame before season started and have only ever had 1 'bad' season and that was early on).

Great, so your grandmother was an ‘evacuee’ as was my Dad, but from Bristol not london. That is a whole trance of historic reading in itself.

You might mean clovelly road which is in the Chiswick/ Acton ( all the same really) borders. Again I must refer you to the good local pubs. I know lots about the local history.

Checked out your record, very impressive. Way better than mine but hoping to improve this year after resolving to take less hits!

Haha!! Put it this way, we use the same saying here and I never knew what it meant...most of our 'farm land' (aka country) is grid based and very square shaped, especially as you start getting out to the mid West. More windy in the rural areas of the East. I just don't like catch-all sayings that aren't universally apt! And not all country is winding roads, even in England!! I've seen a TV shows that display straight roads with minor curving (more hilly than curvy) like the Yorkshire Dales where "All Creatures Great and Small" takes place!

I had 10 players play. 6 blanks, just 4 returners, and a -4 hit. Yet I'm looking at a nice green arrow with 72 (76 - 4) points with Digne to play... Strange week, but a really good one because of Aguero (c), KDB, TAA and Haller!

I brought in Aguero and captained him - would've captained Sterling instead, so yes! Still have to see how Kane does tomorrow of course

Also brought in Maddison for Martial to finance Aguero, so that was disappointing, but the other players I might have brought in (Anderson, Lanzini, Mount) also blanked, so not too disastrous, very happy overall!

      I would bring Tyrone Mings.
Villa have good fixtures, and whenever they will keep CS Mings could be among Bonuses whicxh is not true with Soyuncu.
Plus Leicester looks less likely to keep a CS like shutting the shop type game.

WC worked out quite well for me - on 70 points with Digne and Ceballos still to come and rank up to 17k. I’m really tempted to bring in David Silva for the ManCity offensive triple up, but would have to downgrade Zinchenko. The move would be Lanzini>David Silva, Zinchenko>4.5 for a -4. Good idea or no? A vintage David Silva for 7.4 just seems too good to be true....

Any experts want to answer this for me. I began the GW 2m rank overall. Have Tammy KDB Mane and Zinchenko who all scored points. Sterling (c). Moved from 2m rank to 1.7m only a jump of 300k.

Why was the average so high? Is it purely because of Liverpool defence?

I started the GW at 1.7m, scored 46 and ended up at 1.8m. TAA haul killed me basically.
