Wan-Bissaka comes through injury to start against Leicester

Manchester United’s injury situation appears not quite as bad as first feared as Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£5.5m) starts at right-back against Leicester.

The player had been flagged with a back injury in the week but has been declared fit for the first XI.

However, Paul Pogba (£8.5m), Anthony Martial (£7.7m) and Luke Shaw (£5.4m) are indeed missing for the Red Devils.

Marcus Rashford (£8.5m) starts the match in a central role supported by Daniel James (£6.2m), Juan Mata (£6.4m) and Andreas Pereira (£5.0m), which means substitute Mason Greenwood (£4.5m) still awaits his first league start of the campaign.

There are very few surprises for opponents Leicester other than Demarai Gray (£5.3m) coming in for his first Premier League start of the season, featuring alongside Jamie Vardy (£8.9m) and James Maddison (£7.1m) in a front-three.

Mason Mount (£6.4m) and Tammy Abraham (£7.2m) hold their places in the Chelsea team despite concerns about Champions League rotation setting in.

The changes come elsewhere in the side as it looks like Frank Lampard has opted for a 3-5-2 formation to match Wolves.

Antonio Rüdiger (£6.0m) makes a much-anticipated return in central defence, joined in the middle by Andreas Christensen (£5.0m) and Fikayo Tomori (£4.5m).

With Emerson (£5.5m) ruled out, Marcos Alonso (£6.2m) returns at left wing-back with Cesar Azpilicueta (£5.9m) on the opposite flank.

Opponents Wolves have restored Diogo Jota (£6.3m) to the starting line-up while Adama Traoré (£5.0m) is at right-back and Jesus Vallejo (£4.9m) and Romain Saïss (£4.4m) come in at centre-back.

Callum Robinson (£5.3m) is fit enough only for the bench for Sheffield United but David McGoldrick (£5.5m) is able to come through and start alongside Oli McBurnie (£5.9m).

John Lundstram (£4.2m) keeps his place in midfield, even as John Fleck (£4.9m) returns from injury, Luke Freeman (£5.4m) the man to make way.

Meanwhile, Southampton’s defensive situation looks a little unclear ahead of kick-off.

They have named three centre-backs in their team, Jan Bednarek (£4.5m), Jannik Vestergaard (£5.1m) and Maya Yoshida (£4.4m) but there is no recognised left-back in the starting line-up.

It is thought either Japanese international Yoshida will play that role in a back-four, or central midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (£4.9m) will fulfil it in a five-man defence.

In attack, Che Adams (£5.8m) is flanked by Sofiane Boufal (£5.5m) and Moussa Djenepo (£5.4m), who starts despite concerns over a muscle problem.

Finally, it looks as if there’s a different shape for Brighton as they name a 4-3-3 formation. It is possible that Dan Burn (£4.5m) and Adam Webster (£4.4m) are at full-back while Pascal Groß (£6.5m) starts in central midfield and Solly March (£4.9m) pushes forward into more familiar territory.
