Fantasy interest limited as Villa face West Ham in final Gameweek 5 fixture

The final match of Gameweek 5 takes place this evening as Aston Villa take on West Ham United at Villa Park.

Kick-off is at 20:00 BST.

Not one of the 22 players in the two starting XIs sits in more than 7% of Fantasy Premier League squads, with Sebastien Haller (£7.5m) the most-owned asset on show.

Haller was transferred in by just under 180,000 Fantasy bosses in the run-up to Gameweek 5.

All of West Ham’s other players are owned by 5% of FPL managers or fewer.

Tyrone Mings (£4.6m), Tom Heaton (£4.5m) and John McGinn (£5.6m) are the only members of Aston Villa’s starting XI who are in more than 5% of Fantasy Premier League squads.

Dean Smith has made two changes to the side that lost at Crystal Palace, one of which is enforced.

The suspended Trezeguet (£5.3m) is replaced by Anwar El Ghazi (£5.5m), while Marvelous Nakamba (£4.4m) is brought in at the expense of Douglas Luiz (£4.6m) in central midfield.

West Ham’s team news is a lot more straightforward, with Manuel Pellegrini naming the same starting XI that lined up in Gameweeks 3 and 4.

The Hammers are unbeaten in three Premier League matches and have taken four points from their first two away games.

Aston Villa won their previous home fixture, defeating Everton 2-0 in Gameweek 3.

Aston Villa XI: Heaton, Taylor, Engels, Mings, Guilbert, Marvelous, McGinn, Grealish, Jota, Wesley, El Ghazi.

West Ham United XI: Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Masuaku, Rice, Noble, Lanzini, Yarmolenko, Anderson, Haller.

Has anyone actually been banned for diving retrospectively?

Joke rule if not, Noble and Wesley should have bans after tonight for clear dives which the Dean didn't react to

      Niasse last season.

Advantage needs to be gained from the dive, so both will be fine.

      Noble is also English.

I've understood it's used if the ref doesn't see it in which case advantage isn't gained? Cheating is what it is and should be dealt with

I agree, both should be punished but under current ruling they won’t be.

    idk how that's possible
matches like Spurs - Palace, where u're waiting tight game with not so many goals ended 4-0 in first half, wolves-chelsea too
matches like this, where odds on over 2.5 like 1.6 - 1.7 ended 0-0
    how it works

its a good tool dont get me wrong, I cant remember if it has ads but it should to cover the sites up-keep. Just adverts on the side not pop-ups.
And then with that revenue upgrade the server, its popularity has spiked this season im guessing. (I didnt use it last season personally)

Might have the opportunity if it is getting that much use, but if it's one guy doing it as a hobby he probably isn't going to fork out for big servers up front.

Time for the wildcard. What do you think of this?

    Pope McGovern

    Kelly Soyuncu Zinchenko Lundstram Guilbert

    Mount Lamela Bruyne Mane Cantwell

    Aguero Abaumeyang Pukki

Obviously the defence will be criticised however made the decision to concentrate on attack. I am tempted to swap Lamela for McGinn and then swap Guilbet for Aurier.
    Thoughts?

Probably the best front three I've seen. As long as clean sheets are at a minimum could work, don't know if Lamela will get rotated with CL coming up same could be said of Aurier. Too much of a risk with those two.
