FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 6

The Fantasy Premier League dynamic is set to change somewhat this week with the return of continental competitions.

The Champions League and Europa League group stages will be back on our screens over the next few days, and are likely to affect the top-flight’s best teams going into Gameweek 6.

That’s just one of many talking points to discuss this week though, so we’ve put together another panel of Fantasy managers to answer your questions…

Who’s on the panel this week?

Ted / Rotation’s Alter Ego – Moderator and the site’s recently appointed Assistant Community Manager. Ted finished 633rd in the world last season.

Holly Shand – Founder of Fantasy Football Community, two top 10k finishes in four seasons and regular FPL Show guest.

Who Got the Assist? – Tom and Nick run one of Twitter’s most active Fantasy accounts and run their very own blog, also producing an excellent regular podcast.

      I’d consider dropping Otamendi to a 4.5, and upgrade Barnes for Abraham. Maybe after this GW. Man city defenders aren’t appealing without Laporte.

      I'm honestly considering ditching Digne and just going rotation backline.

      Lundstram, Rico, Soyuncu, Tomori (Guilbert, Aurier) seems to be really decent. Just keep TAA for the backline. That leaves you much more maneuverability up front.

      You'll want Abraham after the Liverpool game if he keeps up his form and keeps his place. 7.3m for starting Chelsea striker is too good to pass on.

      You also have to have at least one of Salah/Mane imo. Not having one will really ruin your rank in the end because they are so consistent and are such strong captain candidates.

        People will regret losing digne, you just have to keep him for the season. Unless he is atrocious, gw6 would a 10+ pointer really be unexpected?

        Feel happy to hold and persist with Digne. He's done ok so far and will bring in points. Skeptical about Salah or Mane because of those tough fixtures. Sure Pool are more or less fixture proof in terms of ability but i prefer the other options but i won't lie. I've been quietly thinking about how to still bring Salah in

        hmm ok. Im not overly convinced with the double LFC defence anymore. 1 clean sheet in 5 is frustrating.

          Frustrating isn't it, Robertson and Trent so close to scoring on Saturday too. I'm probably going to hold a bit longer but can see why many are removing one of them.

          It sure is frustrating, but both could have scored easily this weekend. I've decided to keep Robbo and TAA and not even consider changing them. 2 of the most dangerous fullbacks for one of the most attacking and winning teams. I will be patient, double digits await!

            My spurs allegiance is being really annoying this season. Never has it effected me before but I just don’t want to accept any Arsenal, West Ham or Chelsea into my team lol.       I still think he's essential. He might blank occasionally, but he's playing very advanced and has monstrous underlying statistics playing for the best side in the league at sub 10.0m. I think 200 point a season players should cost at least 10m and any less is considered a bargain.

      I like your team, but I'm really surprised you're considering captaining Son over Sterling or Aubameyang. Leicester's defence has impressed so far, only 3 conceded in 5 whilst up against some decent sides.

          If you believe in it, go for it, but those matches weren't against Rodgers Leicester. Quite a few of those goals and assists were up against central defensive partnerships involving Benalouane, Wasilewski and Fuchs.

              Love Son as a pick, and like you say, when he's on form he's something else, just think if you own Sterling or Auba, the ceiling is higher with them. Just my opinion though.
