The FPL line-up lessons we learned from Gameweek 5

We take our regular look back at the Premier League line-ups from the weekend just gone, analysing the systems and personnel used by the 20 top-flight clubs and seeing what lessons could be learned ahead of Gameweek 6.

The article has taken a slightly different format this week as we harness the use of the average position maps in our Members’ Area.

The figures in brackets given after each player name correspond to the numbered shirts in the position maps.

        But there again I imagine quite a few Salah Sterling teams have used chips.

        Obvs Sterling last week affects things but the necessity of that particular pairing isn’t just possibly absolutely necessary? Lots of Mane and KdB (less than Sterling last week) in there.

      The rule is he handballed it, ref missed it, VAR got it right.

      VAR not the issue with this one, the law is.

        Thats right but in pl the refs would more likely not even consult VAR as has happened so often this season

        At least the ref took a look at the replay. He ruled it out as that's the law. Important thing is he had a look
