I'm going KDB but if I had him, possibly Auba. It's tough, Villa are looking ok at the back and Auba played 90 minutes in the Europa, that's what would put me off.

Is Jamal Lewis (NOR, left wing) a potentially overlooked 4.5 defensive option?

People seem to dismiss Norwich for their defense in the opening weeks but let's not forget that they faced Liverpool, Chelsea and City so far. Conceded last minute goal vs. Newcastle and then two vs. in form Haller & co at WHU.

Norwich fixtures not too bad ahead. There's surely assist potential as-well there. Potential to be made or are there simply better 4.5ms there to consider? (I already have Soy for instance). His stats so far are on pair with Mings.

Norwich's defence is a no go.

Him or Hanley could be both decent enablers in the current landscape

Interesting you mention Hanley. He hasn't played for the last couple of games though.

I think so. Defence is giving me a headache at the moment - it seems like a toss up between looking for expensive defenders who can give you attacking returns or taking a few punts on cheaper ones. He seems a really good option at 4.5m and vs. say Walker at 6.0m who also doesn't seem to be able to keep clean sheets...what would you be missing out with Lewis?

I personally am going for Pukki, Haller and Abraham next week (Barnes -> Abraham) if everything goes to plan. That means I have to drop Zinch to someone to rotate with Soy and Lundstram and Soy is already there to cover Digne next week so yeah, for people in my position I think this might be a loop hole for those who're not going for 3 premium defenders.

I'm concerned with their poor defense, just like everyone else. But what better alternatives are there really? Underlying stats are great compared to same priced alternatives and fixtures looking okay. Norwich should only be scoring more goals from here on and as a winger he should be taking part every now and then.

I'm not sold on this idea just yet but totally wanted to throw it out there.

Alright then, a new version of my WC draft. How does this look?

    Pope Button
    Digne TAA Ward Lunds Rico
    Mane KDB Son Mount Hayden
    Vardy Abram Pukki

    1.5 ITB

      1. KGFC
        • 7 Years

Vardy has 3 home games in next 4. Plus he's more of a PL proven scorer and on pens. Happy to have him over Wilson. Can upgrade Hayden with cash ITB but 5th mid will be bench fodder only, so don't see the need of putting extra money in bench. Thanks!

Do you think he's worth 8.9?
He's a striker, he needs at least 2 goals to return double digit.

          Maybe upgrade your ward.

But if you are happy with Vardy then keep him!

Isn't that true for every forward? And yes, I think he is worth it given his past record, Roger's attacking philosophy and City's fixture swing.

For Ward, I'm looking to take a punt on AMN.

I was on that till now but just thought:

        1. Salah + 4.4 = 16.9
        2. TAA + Vardy = 16

        I think as a combo 2 wins plus I get 0.9 cash.

Depends on Mount injury but would be inclined to:

      A) Mount -> Cantwell, save transfer and go to 343 next week
      B) Mount, VVD, Greenwood -> Cantwell, Tammy, 5m def (-4)

      Ryan
      Digne Robbo VVD Zink
      Salah Sterling KDB Mount**
      Barnes Pukki

Anyone considering Vardy on their WC? Has 3 home games out of next 4 and after the Pool game, pretty much a free run through to December.

      A) Play Zinchenko and downgrade next week to enable Abraham in. Not use any FTs.
      B) Trade Zincenko out now to use 1 of 2 FTs to enable Abraham in next week.
