Redmond returns for Southampton as Fraser benched again

Southampton midfielder Nathan Redmond (£6.3m) is back in the starting line-up following injury.

He returns to the side just as Moussa Djenepo (£5.4m) drops out with a knock of his own.

It looks as if Redmond will sit next to Sofiane Boufal (£5.5m) in a central attacking midfield duo behind centre-forward Che Adams (£5.7m).

The return of Kevin Danso (£4.5m) will also be welcome news for Ralph Hasenhüttl, who was forced into playing a back-three with Djenepo as a wing-back in the win over Sheffield United.

Visitors Bournemouth have gone with a 4-4-2 formation which features Ryan Fraser (£7.3m) on the bench for a second match running.

On the flanks of midfield are Josh King (£6.3m) and Harry Wilson (£6.0m) while Callum Wilson (£7.8m) and Dominic Solanke (£5.4m) lead the line.

Also of note is another start at left-back for Diego Rico (£4.1m), who offers better value compared to the likes of Nathan Aké (£4.9m) and Steve Cook (£5.0m).

Southampton XI (4-3-2-1): Gunn; Danso, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Cédric; Højbjerg, Romeu, Ward-Prowse; Boufal, Redmond; Adams.

        Because he did absolutely f all all game. He was a liabilty, absolutely invisible. But because he gets a tap in on an open goal, which he already gets 4 points for, he gets 3 bps? Its broken.

            No one is saying it should be personal, just that its broken that an absolutely invisible striker can get 3 bps off 1 goal. Reduce bonus points for goals scored.

            The fact is not only that he scored. It's also that he did nothing else. The bps for a goal is clearly excessive and hence why it's overriding his otherwise anonymous performance.

              Dunno he did nothing which means he did nothing wrong either so his baps points didn’t go in the minus and when he scored he jumped up...but also means that there were no clean sheets, no double scores or assisters hence he got 3 baps...at the end of the day that s why strikers are most expencive

          No it doesnt. Winning goal is given to the player who scored the goals that made the difference. So in a 2-1 game, whoever scored the 2-1 goal. In a 3-1 game, the 2-1 goal still counts as winning. WIlson didnt get winning goal bonus.

      Mark is a great player but he does seem to get some incredible luck. I brought Wilson in this week though so not complaining. It's a 7pt (assuming 3bp) gift that is really needed after my worst start to the season in the 15yrs I've been playing this game.

    What a turnaround for Callum Wilson. One of the worst performances I have ever seen to get a goal is admirable. The worst performance I have seen came from Rico. Lots of deserved deductions must have given it away in the the final third 10 times second half alone

    Watched 2 games today. In both the winning manager made a late substitution to then scream furiously at the fourth official that it is the wrong player going off. No coincidence, the world of time wasting is a disgrace. We need real playing time or these actors keep inventing things.
