Mount and Emerson recover from injury to start against Liverpool

The final two matches of Gameweek 6 take place this afternoon as Chelsea entertain Liverpool and Arsenal take on Aston Villa.

Kick-off at Stamford Bridge and at the Emirates is at 16:30 BST.

The headline news comes from west London, with Chelsea – and Fantasy managers – handed a boost upon the release of the teamsheets.

Mason Mount has recovered from injury to make his sixth straight start in the top flight, while N’Golo Kante and Emerson Palmieri are also back in Frank Lampard’s starting XI after stepping up their recoveries over the last week.

Lampard has ditched the 3-4-2-1 and reverted to a 4-3-3, with Tammy Abraham flanked by Mount and Willian up top.

Liverpool have made only one change from the side that lost to Napoli in midweek, with Georginio Wijnaldum in for James Milner in central midfield.

That means there are starts for Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Unai Emery has made multiple changes from the side that beat Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday but, compared to Arsenal’s Gameweek 5 line-up, there is only one alteration: Bukayo Saka in for Mesut Ozil.

Sead Kolasinac has been passed fit despite coming off with a minor knock in Germany.

Aston Villa also make just one change to the side that drew 0-0 against West Ham on Monday night: Trezeguet returns from suspension and replaces the benched Jota.

Arsenal XI: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Luiz, Sokratis, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ceballos, Pepe, Aubameyang, Saka.

Aston Villa XI: Heaton, Guilbert, Engels, Mings, Taylor, Nakamba, McGinn, Grealish, El Ghazi, Trezeguet, Wesley.

Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Tomori, Emerson, Kanté, Jorginho, Kovačić, Willian, Abraham, Mount.

Liverpool XI: Adrian, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

I have v.similar squad. I am tempted to stick with Sterling (C). He has been rested, underlying stats still good. I could see him terrorising Everton next Saturday evening. (I have said this the past two weeks though...so perhaps ignore me!).

All it takes is one DFK, one corner, one shot, one cross for him to get points - he’s well worth sticking with

Remember there was a clamour for Silva’s head just before they went on that epic run last season too

City will probably win, but Digne could easily get points - then has a few decent fixs after that

Wow well done. That would have been me had I picked right vc but shows the tight margins, hopefully rise the ranks a bit anyway which given at 2pm Saturday I thought I was looking at 9 players isn't too bad

    Any advice?
I’m willing to take up to a -8 if necessary

      Definitely don't need a -8.

James, Barnes and Zinchenko your biggest concerns that need addressing, but not so bad that you'd need to hit for them.

I just feel dumping Zinchenko, Digne and Barnes may be the way I go.

Must admit a hit for Barnes is maybe bad but would likely get Tammy in for him

    A) Zinc > Lundstram/Otamendi
    B) Zinc, Haller > Lundstram, Tammy/Wilson
    C) Digne, Haller > Rico, Firmino
    D) Zinc, Sterling, Haller > Lundstram, Bilva, Kun (-4)

    Heaton
    VVD - Zinchenko - Diop
    Salah - Sterling - KDB - Cantwell - Mount
    Pukki - Haller

    Ryan - Digne - Greenwood - Dunk

50 points in 6 games is hardly "has to go" form.

93 points. 😀 Kind of weird to WC right after that, but it is what it is. Really wanted to get a Chelsea attacker and Son for those upcoming fixtures.

Maybe it's looking too far ahead, but are people keeping Mane / Salah for their tough fixtures? (GW9-G12)

We all know they're fixture proof, but can you see many hauls in those fixtures?

I was going to go Mane, but now thinking Firmino maybe.

They are way too consistent with their returns (2 goals or more in the last 10 games?), and the front 3 are always involved in the goals.

Whoever you get is pretty likely to blank as well the odd game

Mane and Salah could get double figures against anybody so definitely keeping.

I don't really want to but am happy with the other options I have being reasonable value, so probably gonna tough it out unless pepe becomes a serious option for son/pepe/kdb triple

You need one of Salah or Mane. Liverpool can put several goals past any team in the league.

Anything wrong with these transfers for a - 4?

    Digne > TAA
    Emerson > Lundstram or Soyuncu
    Haller > Tammy

Could wait a week for Tammy tho if I go Lundstram as gives 0.3m cushion for price changes. Current team below.

    Pope Button
    Robbo Ota Digne* Emerson* Rico
    KDB Salah Mount Cantwell DLuiz
    Aguero Pukki Haller*

Do we think That Tomori has done enough to cement his place?

Christensen also injured and he's probably ahead of Zouma. Looking for a Zinchenko replacement.

with that defense do you really think it is worth the risk of a rotation risk?

Seems pretty nailed on, best defender right now. Will get some amount of rotation given his age, but it's his place.

Not sure if he's the best option however with Chelsea's defence. Leicester/Burnley looking more solid - with defenders looking more secure.

At some point Chelsea will start to keep a few clean sheets and I think Tomori is great value pick...they have a nice run of fixtures also

Do we think Aguero is still going to be subbed after 60 minutes? Didn't happen against Watford but maybe it was because of this unusual situation (I mean the score...) + 1 sub was already used for Mendy who wasn't fully fit

Hard to second guess Pep but if Jesus plays midweek expect Kun to start on weekend not sure about how many minutes

Yeah I think he starts vs Everton but then we have to ask the question if Agueros points * 2/3 > Sterling's points - a now show every 7 fixtures
