FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 8

After a largely disappointing round of action for the Fantasy Football Scout community, managers have plenty to discuss ahead of Gameweek 8.

With just one more weekend until another international break, we’ve put together another panel to help you solve your latest dilemmas…

Who’s on the panel this week?

Always Cheating – The USA’s number one FPL podcast duo comprising of Josh and Brandon.

DayvyFPL – Finished the 2018/19 season 22nd in the world and already up to 87k in the current campaign.

Joe – Our very own Scoutcast and video host, long-time servant of the site, keeper of the Goals Imminent table and seven top 10k FPL finishes.

Neale – Our very own deputy editor who was recently at the centre of ‘Hack-gate but is hoping to record a fourth career top 10k finish with his restored team.

          Sheffield playing Watford, so I will start him over Cantwell. Keep Digne in the starting 11.

    Last week: Gameweek Rank 25k and a 2.2 million OR rise from 3m to 850k
    This week: Gameweek Rank 6.1m and back down to 1.5m OR
    Team was basically the same

    Anyone else having an incredibly swingy season?

        Been right around 500k for the most part. Once a lot higher and once a lot lower. Irrelevant now. Its gwa that matters most to me, which is on point.

        Does intrigue me a bit this. My team as whole has been largely consistent scoring between 50-75 points each week averaging around 62. If I do that all season then I will end on a good score for sure. But that’s just it it’s always bang average or just a bit bette than average. I never have terrible weeks but I never have amazing weeks either just average sailing.
        Would it be more fun to have a team that performs like yours? Maybe and never having an amazing week does bug me, but I guess slow and steady wins the race. Whenever you have a bad week I expect your following week will be high scoring

          I guess my team good for last man standing anyway. And why my team so average, not sure to be honest when I consider my team non template for the most part.

          I have a lot more fun when Im constantly slightly above average tbh and get more green arrows. The very good gameweeks definitely dont make up for the terrible ones for me.

      Was thinking Matip+Greenwood to Rico+Haller to get back to 3 at the back, but not so sure now.. Would like Auba/Vardy, but cant see a simple way to get.

        What are people's opinions on Sterling vs Kun regarding Pep rotation, please?

        Do you think Sterling is the safer option as he looks less likely for bench cameos?

        On a side point, unless Sterling doesn't play midweek, are people considering captaining KDB for minutes safety?

            They'll all get rotated. Make a prediction about which will finish as highest scorer in fpl, pick that player, and stick.

          I wish I had Digne for this upcoming fixtures. This coming game is a perfect game for a haul. He scored 2 goals and an assist against them last season.
