    With Bernardo Silva potentially facing a ban from next gameweek for up to 6 games, he is likely to start this Sunday. This would show support from Pep over the twitter racism controversy, whilst benching him would be seen as an admission of guilt.

    Mahrez played 90 minutes on Tuesday evening, with Bernardo substituted for Sterling on 56 minutes.

    With Mahrez potentially about to become a regular starter if Bilva faces a ban next week, there is a significant risk Mahrez is rested this gameweek, with Bilva played up top and Gundogan partnering David Silva and Rodrigo in midfield.

    If Bernardo is indeed banned next week for a number of games over the twitter controversy, then Mahrez becomes nailed and an excellent option. However, it is not clear this will necessarily happen, and for this week there is a good chance Mahrez is rested.

        True; Pep's gonna Pep. I want Mahrez, but from next gameweek I think. I have Kun, KdB(bought at 9.5) and Dilva, and it's tricky to know whether to move towards upgrading Dilva or switching kdb if he's out. Just seems odd that people are rushing to get Mahrez when this may well be the gameweek he's benched...

          I may go Dilva yet but even he carries a risk. I'd keep Dilva personally. I may be wildcarding so can afford to take a punt. If I didn't I certainly wouldn't be risking it. I'm already risking Kun C and no Sterling . Rage wildcard incoming

        I'd take a guess at Pep starting his most in form player but it's based on nothing. You could also say he may take Bilva out of the limelight. There are 2 sides to it. Wouldn't shock me if he's benched but neither would Sterling, Kun or any one else being benched

      B. Silva and Sterling will play tomorrow regardless. However Mahrez will still play if B. Silva is used in the midfield instead of as a winger. It will be one of David Silva, Gundogan or Mahrez who is benched.

        If I’d sent a similar tweet in public to a work colleague I’m pretty sure I’d be fairly close to getting sacked.

        You just can’t do that in 2019 and think that people won’t take the hump, even if the recipient himself thinks it’s just banter

    Arsenal youngsters showing up the first team.

    Which shows how poor the first team's application and attitude (other than Auba) has been.

    The fact that Xhaka is captain says a lot as the guy is a liability. He plays DM, but can't run and can't tackle.

        They are down compared to equivalent fixtures last season.

        This season they have 12 pts.
        Last season they had 16 pts.

        Draws against Spurs at home and Watford away are worse results than last season. The rest are the same.

      Many managers go for experience rather than taking the chance on youngsters. Arsenal could include more youngsters in their starting eleven, but I'm sure Unai thinks it's too risky.

    man really steuggling to decide between Mane, Kane and Auba for the armband! Its been locked on Kane for 2 weeks, but in reality Brighton is probably going to be a tightish game. I expect all 3 of those will score this week but who gets double figures? Auba is probably gonnna be most peoples favourite right?

            Fair enough, his appeal may diminish slightly when Laca is back although fixtures are grand going forward and proving consistent so far. Plenty of other decent striking options to choose from though that's for sure. Good luck this week.

          You definitely won’t lose value on him, but it means two FTs if you want him back as soon as he is back so probably would depend on your medium term plans.
