This sub 2 hour marathon attempt by Kipchoge is good. You can see they have planned everything. Hopefully he does it.

There are so many threats to the FPL industry these days, such as hub and slack. They need someone to shake things up a bit, I feel. History is littered with failed organisations like Nokia and Blockbusters that didn't react to change.

Even if it doesn’t at the outset, it would surely only a matter of time before you rise to the top

My first act as leader would be to make the members area work on a mobile device. This would instantly buy me a huge amount of goodwill with the people and give me the political capital to make sweeping changes.

Could you make it more user friendly while you’re at it?

Use football manager’s player stats screen and interface as a template - great example of how to make infinitely deep data extremely manageable to slice & dice & really well presented

Centre everything around the players & build in some nice filtering menus etc

      a and c with chilwell

look at City´s results after laporte got injured, yes he can score some goals but they have one cs since he got injured and that was lucky, Watford was handed a couple of grande chances early on in that 8-0 maul. Leicester is better defensive than they are attacking and a double up could be a sort og turning a shield into a sword. I had Kun and i sold for Auba, which is best option i´m not sure of but i hate sitting and fretting before my computer every time city´s team sheet is coming up.

It’s on sterling at the moment. But Vardy and Abraham also appeals.
I need to switch off about the price of the players and look more at fixtures and form.
Has to be Abraham or Vardy

        Yep. That’s the challenge right.

Have to take Pep’s roulette with a pinch of salt.
We know what we are letting ourselves in for when we pick any city players

          1. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
            • 14 Years
            4 years, 5 months ago

I just can’t believe Sterling has gone 6,8,3,2,0,7,2 for that list of fixtures - he’s been playing on the left a lot - does it really suit him as much?

Surely there’s an explosion imminent... but you really need to spike captaincy for it to get value from his price tag

City’s schedule won’t help with Europe in there & the fact that Pep looks like he’s ok with giving him league cup minutes (starts no less!) also

            1. Whats the Huth
              • 8 Years
              4 years, 5 months ago

              True. Lots to consider.
KDB is easy enough to keep due to his price tag.

It is a toss between Aguero and Sterling. Both will score points - I just think Aguero is more susceptible to rotation. That’s just my opinion though.

I heard he has as much touches itb as he had last year. It might be, but in my mind Sterling takes too many touches in the box when Sané does not put them on a plate for him. I rather have him when Sané plays on left side, all he need to do is getting behind Kun and tap them in.

It’s one of those things, just have to pray you’ve sold at the right time and jump back on at the right time.
I’m going Vardy and Mané for now. Will be getting salah back when Vardy’s good run ends - although that might be difficult if Vardy’s form continues

price diff is quite large but since happy with your team Leicester has an awful nice run of fixtures, while West ham a bit more mixed, Yarm often subbed, Maddy is almost always on for 90min.
So under circumstances you´re asking, yes

Rhinos do have a point though in his repost

Thanks both. With 1.5 ITB I am tempted to bring in Mads if Yarmolenko won't perform as much. Appreciate the point on price but can always downgrade if there are not enough returns.

      • 7 Years

The way Palace play kind of suits City not well, they are of course far away in terms of quality but Palace have quite pacy players and City´s defense and midfield is vulnerable, CB pair is slow and also the midfield struggles when teams turns to counter them. Rodi is not Fabinho, so teams just gel through on counter. I think Palace will score, but to answer your question, will that be Ayew? Hm, he´the forward, he is pacy, he´s not the one who shall carry the ball (Zaha) so he might be at the end of those counters.
i think you have to carefully analyze your other options you are playing, but i gather you already have done that.
Safe route is Ota, Ayew for the bold. I would perhaps play Ayew but i´m a Liverpool supporter and might perceive that City defense worse than they are-)

Ahh - only one more week to wait. I have two free transfers and think it is about time to get Mount in the team:

    Digne + Hayden -> Reid + Mount

I know Reid will probably not play but I think my bench is good enough with only Cantwell and Rico. I could actually go for Kelly but the Reid transfer should stop me leaving points on the bench and I will have 0.2 million left in the bank. Any comments or suggestions?

Ya he got 10 last season which was great

I wouldn’t put anyone off him tbf - so much choice at Leicester now

Vardy, Maddison, Pereira are their premiums with Soyboy, Perez & even Tielemans potentially offering cut price alternatives

He’s played Chelsea, Utd, Spurs, Liverpool in his first 4 tbf and has only been in the league a wet minute - I’d see him as having a lot more scope for improvement than players who have been here a while

6,5,2,6 in the other 4 is quite encouraging

But as he creeps closer to 5.0 he becomes less of a pricing mistake

No doubt if he’d been signed and Maguire had been sold before the price release he’d have been minimum 5.0 if not 5.5 though as their main centre half

you might be onto something there. For me who chose Pereira now is that i wanted a defender who also has some attacking potential and Leicester decent def and fixtures. I have one slot in defense at 4.9 (0.3 itb) who atm is filled with Aurier (or misery if you will). No point in selling now and i already made a hit, but that slot is in my mind for a possible double up with soy and pereira. That means i can play both if i will but since i´ve got 5 decent defenders i can also opt to bench one if i think chances are low for CS.

he ran for fifteen horses that year when Leicester won, protecting a defense consisting of former United academies, then he did the same for Chelsea with Alonso and Luiz behind him, then he ran his socks off for France while Pogba got all the credit in World cup. No wonder his legs now cannot function anymore. Alle yes were on Pogba but Kanté was the won who made France winners that summer.

Be very interesting to see what happens when Ritchie is fit. Does he go back to LWB and push Willem out? Does he play further up the field and they both play?

I don't think there is any other competition for that (LWB) spot. When they were both out (vs Leicester) they played a traditional 4 at the back with Dummett LB and we know how that went.

To summarize, the only guy that can take Willem spot is Ritchie IMO. And even still there's a chance they could both fit in....time will tell

Can someone please explain or point to me where I can find out how price increases allow me to get money back on the players I bought?

For eg if I buy a player for 9 mil, at what point do I actually get some money back if I sell him? Is it on every 0.2 increments in price that I get 0.1 back? I seem to always get nothing if I sell a player that has risen in value.

    Thanks.

I'm by no means an expert by I'll try to explain.
      You buy a $7.5 M player
      That player rises to $7.7M
You sell the $7.7M to a new $7.5M player
You have $0.1 in the bank

50% of any rise in .1 increments

A player therefore has to rise .2 for you to get .1

      .4 to get .2 etc
