It’s tough to be an elite striker in FPL these days isn’t it?

The emergence of the likes of Tammy, Pukki, Wilson, Vardy has made justifying Auba, Kun & Kane much more difficult

    1. Salah’s Sonnet
      • 12 Years
      4 years, 5 months ago

Nah Auba Kun will are easily justifiable

Feels wrong not going Kun but leaves me money to spread points.

Plus do not have to worry about 20 minute apps and benchings.

For me the points from a premium striker aren't enough to justify their price.
You get much more from a midfielder with the same price

      1. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
        • 14 Years
        4 years, 5 months ago

Yep - these days you also get almost the same points (or more in some cases) from strikers 2.0, 3.0 even 4.0 cheaper

Now obviously if Kun capitalises on that fixture list, and Auba can make a bit more Hay while th sun is shining before Laca comes back it might tilt the picture a little...

But unfortunately both city & arsenal (and spurs) have heavy enough European commitments so no guarantees of mega hauls for them either

Auba has harder games than the ticker suggests based on the teams defences and his lack of supply but Kun is still a great choice.

      In my oppinion

    A. Salah & Pukki >>> Maddison & Wilson
    B. Salah & Pukki >>> Maddison & Auba
    C. Hold

    Currrent squad (2FT; 0.1ITB):
    Pope / Heaton
    TAA / Otamendi / Lundstrum / Kelly / Soyuncu
    Sterling / KDB / Mount / McGinn / Salah
    Abraham / Ayew / Pukki

    1. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus

I’d have a look at Sterling & Ayew > Maddison & Vardy... or if not enough dosh then Pukki instead of Ayew

Looks good. Like the Boly pick.

I have Vardy Tammy and Pukki up top. Pending Pukki form GW 9 I may ship him out. Just about everyone has Tammy and CHE double up with Mount is feeling akward for me. Want to do Tammy to Jimmy, Wilson or King just to break the template a bit.

    Jimenez Abraham Greenwood

Very similar to my team. This week I did VVD -> Soy, Pukki -> Vardy.

I don’t think there’s need to WC yet, I’ll keep it for now, still a lot of unpredictability with players/injuries

I got tempted in by the 5.4 price tag & guaranteed starts

Giving him next 4 anyways as three of them are nice fixtures

And no matter how bad he is at defending (and he is BAD) he’s always in with a shout of a clean sheet by default & a jammy attacking return or two

      Boly or Dunk.

If you want a player that can provide attacking returns then Aurier at 4.9m is a steal. Not many attacking fullbacks floating around at that price. I believe Spurs will regain form as they have a pretty decent squad to pull things right.

I'm not sure how big FFS is but plenty of small companies put similar requirements in their job specs, in other fields at least. If a job has certain technical requirements where a degree is relevant and you're expecting enough applications then narrowing that pool by looking for a minimum standard seems like a fairly logical move to me. Odd thing to be irked by when it's so everyday a feature of job-hunting.

          1. Surfeit of Lampteys
            • 6 Years
            4 years, 5 months ago

No you see you're wrong because you assume I don't get irked by it every time I see it. Or used to see it rather. The difference here being that there's a forum below the job advert to vent my frustration at it.
There's a hell of a lot of frustrating elements of job specs like five years particular experience when you've only just left school eg. It's odd that you would think it odd to be irked by something just because it's commonplace.

Not explicitly no. But they're the same as all of these anyone below a 2:1 need not apply like it makes the slightest bit of difference of what kind of an employee you are.

While everyone is eyeing up the likes of Vardy, Wilson and Auba, i wouldnt be surprised if Bobby outscored them all in the next few gw’s

Don't feel comfortable going Bobby without Mane or Salah, so it's either double up or no Bobby for me

I have had Salah and Firmino for a number of weeks. It’s worked out well so far.

Sterling or Aguero?? Aguero looking more dangerous but Sterling surely more nailed...

Sterling proving to be a disaster when it comes to capping him. Aguero is the better captain but with Pep you do not know when Kun finds himself on the bench.

Feel much more at ease owning none of them.

    1) Jimenez for free
    or

Chelsea defence is awful - Kante got injured again on intl break (although we don’t know how bad that is)

Brighton have done pretty well under potter - dunk offers goal threat

Actually Chelsea have the third best expected goals conceded over the last four gameweeks. But thanks for the answer, I will rethink

We really need to move away from XG as a decision making tool for FPL imo - it just wasn’t intended to be used to justify signing or selling FPL players (again imvho)

              It’s a placebo at best
