Which of Leicester’s FPL assets appeal for their favourable fixture run?

Having been bottom of our Season Ticker for fixture difficulty over the first eight Gameweeks of the season, Leicester City are about to embark on much more favourable run of matches.

Over their next nine games, the Foxes meet only one ‘big six’ team (Arsenal), play two newly promoted clubs and face five of the sides that finished in the bottom half of the Premier League table in 2018/19.

Five of Leicester’s next nine fixtures are at home, too.

As a result, Brendan Rodgers’ side sits top of our Season Ticker between Gameweeks 9 and 17.

Interest from the Fantasy community in Leicester’s assets is hotting up ahead of this appealing sequence of games.

Ricardo Pereira (£6.2m) is currently the most-bought Fantasy Premier League defender of Gameweek 9, while James Maddison (£7.2m) and Jamie Vardy (£9.0m) are the third-most-transferred in players in their respective positions, too.

The Foxes currently sit fourth in the Premier League table despite facing the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United (insert your own jokes here about the fall from graces of some of these once-great sides) in the opening two months of 2019/20, so interest from an FPL perspective is clearly merited based on recent results alone.

What do the underlying statistics say about Leicester assets, though? We delve into the numbers in our latest Members article below.

I feel like Man city and Liverpool assets could be great different captains, especially Salah or Mane.

      Most likely an IB injury.

Basically the load of BS they fed to the national team on why he's out, not surprised the news comes from the national team coach and not a man city source.

Wondering what to do with Pukki, was considering covering Brighton's goals over good fixtures by bringing in Maupay, although Trossard is soon to be back. Could go with the obvious options, Abraham, C Wilson, I have 1.5 ITB , 1 FT. Only got Tomori from Chelsea. Any advice appreciated

BOU defence is a nightmare. Just roll with Pukki, he could go super crazy this weekend. I am keeping him and if he blanks GW9 I will move him on.

The rumours of Aguero out could open doors for Jesus.

Hold before you make any moves IMO.

How many blanks has your captain produced so far ?

For me its 6 out of 8 gws.

Going for obvious captiency options hasn't fared well.

    GW1- Salah (NOR) = 8 pts
    Gw2- Salah (sot) = 3 pts
    Gw3- Kane (NEW) = 2 pts
    Gw4- Sterling (BHA) = 3pts
    Gw5- Sterling (nor) = 3pts
    Gw6- KDB (WAT) = 17pts
    Gw7- Salah(shu) = 3pts
    Gw8- Sterling (WOL) = 2pts

      Gw3- Salah (ARS) = 15 pts
      Gw4- Sterling (BHA) = 3 pts
      Gw5- Sterling (nor) = 2 pts
      Gw6- Salah (che) = 5 pts
      Gw7- Son (SOU) = 5 pts
      Gw8- Sterling (WOL) = 2pts

Should I transfer out one of Pukki or Cantwell? Have enough fund to do Pukki to C. Wilson/ Vardy. Or, roll the FT and play both Pukki & Cantwell.
    Team in full
    Pope
TAA, Soyu, Rico | Lund, Cahill
Salah, Sterling, Mount, Cantwell | Hayden
    Tammy, Auba, Pukki

Does anyone thing Pukki & Digne to Tammy & Lowton is worth a hit? I also have Mount & Cantwell, if that makes a difference (Cantwell's a sub).

Personally don't think its worth a hit, Abraham's blanked in the majority of his home games this season. Maybe do it for free over the next couple of weeks.

Can easily see United losing their next 3 based on current form. Liverpool obviously really tough, followed by two away games at Bournemouth and Norwich....hardly easy teams to win away

Yes I fear the worst for you lot.

Its been a long and difficult 12 or so years for me as an Arsenal fan, I see us getting better but not for another 2 or 3 seasons at the minimum. I think its quite possible United will take 15+ years, like us, to get closer to where they were.

Liverpool were in a similar situation earlier this decade and nearly won the league a couple of years later under Rodgers. 3 years is a long long time in football especially if u have money

        1. Murder On Zidanesfloor
          • 5 Years
          4 years, 5 months ago

They have always had money, Yet it has already been 6 full seasons since they started rebuilding, in the 7th season after SAF they look worse than ever, say another 3 years? would already be 10 seasons into the rebuild.

Ill stick to my prediction of 15 years

          1. Nightcrawler
            • 4 Years
            4 years, 5 months ago

With the right personnel it takes 2 to 3 years max. With the wrong appointments u can try for 20 and it won't work. No way of knowing who our next manager will be. Nobody expected pool to European champions before klopp

            1. Murder On Zidanesfloor
              • 5 Years
              4 years, 5 months ago

Another 3 years and you will already be 10 years in. And I'll give assign getting the right manager a probability of 50% (which is very generous) so that makes the likelyhood of a title challenge 6 years away, in the 14th season of the rebuild. Not ridiculous at all

              1. Nightcrawler
                • 4 Years
                4 years, 5 months ago

Yes I take your point of no title 6-7 seasons from now being very much possible. I assumed u were saying 15 years from now earlier which is impossible to predict

        2. goriuanx
          • 13 Years
          4 years, 5 months ago

That 13/14 title challenge is very, very rare. It was a combination of stumbling across tactics, playing with momentum as opposed to defined tactics and having a genius like Suarez doing most things. It was an accidental challenge, IMO.

          1. Nightcrawler
            • 4 Years
            4 years, 5 months ago

I agree but that just goes to show how u predictable football can be. Even if u take into account klopps gradual, less rare building it took around 3,4 years to take them from 6th-7th to title challengers . The point is 15 years was a ridiculous suggestion. Took us 1 year to go from title winners to a europa league side

15 years is a possibility as opposed to a definite. Time flies in football and it will be 10 years since Fergie left in 3 years time - it's fair to say United most definitely won't be winning the title by then.

I think United are going through what Liverpool did - there's a lot of similarities, mainly when it comes to making decisions based on emotions and feeling entitled to success.

    3. Nightcrawler

We've performed well against pool recently regardless of our form. Pool players especially salah seem to crumble on a big stage like old Trafford

    4. goriuanx
      • 13 Years
      4 years, 5 months ago

I can see a draw, or a close 1-0 either way. These sort of games is where form, quality and sometimes tactics go out the window. Of course if Liverpool turn up, then it won't matter if United turn up - it will be a one way mauling. I doubt it though.

As long as it isnt like last season where theres an injury every ten mins and the the game is stop start no flow and never really got going
I think this game will suit Uniteds current capabilities in terms of playing on the counter and having less of the ball but i think Liverpool will probably win by the odd goal

You have already shown an incredible test of patience keeping Mina for that long! What's the worst one more week can do?

However, I'd suggest upgrading Ceballos by downgrading Mina. Mina+Ceballos to Soyuncu/4.5+Maddison/Mount

Think it's worth it, Ceballos is almost a 1/2 pter player, and KDB may not play (or start from the bench). You can wait for the pressers since none of these options is likely to drop/rise this GW.
