Scoutcast Episode 304 – Trendy

Fantasy Football fashionistas Joe, David and FPL Family’s Sam attempt to second guess the next big trends over the coming Gameweeks.

Chelsea’s increasing array of young talent, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ improving form and fixtures as well as Liverpool’s double-up potential are among the next big things being tipped by our trio.

They also find time to wonder whether there really can be a better party than the one hosted by Norwich striker Teemu Pukki earlier in the season.

Sam has already left the forward’s party, David is reluctantly staying put while Joe is insisting everyone keeps dancing. Could the marksman’s brace for Finland, as the show was being streamed live, herald a renaissance? Joe’s goals imminent table certainly suggests patience with the East Anglian based hitman.

Elsewhere, Leicester’s favourable long-term fixture run is discussed and Sam coins a new Scoutcast phrase – “doing a David”. This refers to David’s transferring out of Foxes’ stars just before favourable form or fixtures.

Clean sheets, a particularly unlucky rough with the smooth entrant, as well as Gameweek 9’s captaincy and transfer plans are also on the bill.

In addition, there’s a birthday, a pair of flares and praise for the entire town of Bournemouth.

They were popular before injuries. Martial playing CF must have value and he always gets good points per minute.

Generally, I try to avoid hits so thoughts welcome on the three options...

    A) 2FTs - Adrian and James > Ryan and Traore (freeing up money for Pukki>Abraham next week BUT a big risk not having Abraham)

    B) 2FTs - James and Pukki > Traore and Abraham (C) however big risk of having no goalkeeper

    C) -4 - Adrian, James and Pukki > Ryan, Traore and Abraham

Traore is obviously a gamble but he's likely to be used sporadically as a 5th mid

Already did. By all means ignore reports of him playing through injury and therefore missing the call up to Argentina + recent reports that he was involved in an accident and got a 'bump' whatever that means. But he is an injury doubt.

Lol I was taking with colleagues about PL (not FPL) today and I was bigging up Chelseas youngsters and Hudson-Odoi in particular. I was baffled that none of them had heard about him as they watch a lot of football and have for decades. After a while it dawned on me I had been calling him Cho the entire time 😀

Almost a given? Alisson is expected back for GW9.

UTD and Spurs are poor. City need to visit Anfield.

He is on net transfers out and people think fixtures for Pool are hard. I like Robbo but no points will send the masses away from him. Therefore get him after the United game just in case.

    A. Wilson, Maddison, Tomori
    B. Vardy, Hudson Odoi, Willy Boly

Might even keep Wilson for the coming 2 fixtures and then move to vardy..

Not sure which 2 to START...
    1) ota (cry)
    2) soy (BUR)
    3) Tomori (NEW)
    4) Rico (NOR)

Or should I start 3 of above and bench Pukki (don't think it's a good idea...)

For the first time like ever , not missing out 0.1, have exact funds to do wished transfers:

    OUT: Haller, Cantwell, Otamendi
    IN: Jimenez, CHO, Soyoncu (-4)

Lot of people here told me to go more conservative with only 1FT Haller > Jimenez, but this time going with my gut, we'll see 🙂

Nice one. I went Haller and Digne to Wesley and TAA. Not that I dislike Haller or have great faith in Wesley but with Alisson's returmn fairly near TAA looks better for 7+m.

True, I have a feeling that Haller is barely clinging to some odd returns and that long dry spell is just behing the doors, I like him too but now its perfect time to ditch. TAA is set and forget for every single one of 38 fixtures, Wesley could also come good
