Scoutcast discusses Raul Jimenez, Man City rotation and the ‘template’

After a chastening weekend of football, the Scoutcast is back to reflect on all the key talking points from Gameweek 9.

You can watch it from 20:00 to 21:00 BST on our YouTube channel, or embedded in the article below.

Joe is joined by Fantasy Football Scout deputy editor Neale and special guest Karam, who has appeared on a handful of our videos already this season.

Currently positioned at 144k in the world, Karam has just deployed his Wildcard and will be discussing the make-up of his revamped Fantasy Premier League squad.

The trio above will be looking at the form and fixtures of Raul Jimenez (£7.1m), Manchester City rotation and the so-called ‘FPL template’, among other things.

There is also a differential for Joe to put forward, clean sheets, the community’s questions and a look at the Scoutcast crew’s Gameweek 10 plans.

With no-shows and auto-subs being the order of the weekend, we can expect the usual mix of sob stories and tales of jam in Rough with the Smooth.

Lessons learned from Gameweek 9

Everyone knows the City drill by now.
    Get 3
    Start them
    Pray for no cameo
    Have a decent bench

this. Sterling is going to tear it up very soon and then probably for 3 or 4 games in a row. Same with Kun

In a season devoid of predictable clean sheets, attacking defenders rule. The only attacking defenders in your options are from AVL, who have the worst defensive fixtures possible. Lots of negative points and zeros incoming, so you really should be selling Engels

Newcastle has 2 CS so far and Brighton has 3. Not sure you’ll find a “good clean sheet getter” in either team tbh.

I would go Newcastle for upcoming fixtures. Lascelles for a safer option. Willems is sexier with offensive returns but not sure what happens when Ritchie is back?

Pulisic looked sharp when i came on for Mount last weekend. Is he most a threat for Mount or CHO spot?

Looked way better then Mount in last game. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a start soon.

soon as Salah is out of that Pool team you realise how much they rely upon him, they really dont have that much depth or not quality depth anyway. They're starting xi is amazing but 1 or 2 injuries to key players would really weaken that team massively. You can never say that about City

indeed, just wonder what would happen to Pool if that happened.

If City lose Sterling and Aguero I do not think it will be any different to what you are explaining.

well they lost Sane, and Jesus is hardly a bad option. The likes of Jesus, Mahrez, Sane, Bilva, Dilva are far superior to any bench players Pool have in Origi, Lallana, Ox, Shaqiri.

Yea its clear how important he is to them. They dont look that wing clipped when either Mane or Firminho are out.

Salah makes Mane imo, without Salah Mane would not be where he is today. Salah lifted him, and now they at the point of competiting with one another. If Salah moved to another team Salahs form would carry on, im not convinced Mane taken out this system and away from Salah would produce the same results (unless you put him into a truly world class team).

Tempestic made a good point there. City cant defend. And liverpool beat barcelona 4-0 with mane shaqiri and origi. Barcelona.

Salah because no rotation or worries about being benched.

This is the type of player you can auto cap.
