Time to drop Otamendi now or what?

It’s a gamble getting rid ahead of those 2 fixtures (i’d actually go as far as to say it’s downright crazy, but never say never)

No one knows for sure what’s in Peps head - is he dropped or not etc

Hold him through GW10 & GW11 is the way forward imo - if he hasn’t started both games and/or hasn’t got returns (defensive or attacking) he’s a pretty good sell, if he hasn’t started either he’s a definite sell

If he’s started both, got 2 jammy CS and a goal he’s not a sell

    Play McGinn

    Or

    Bench him for:
    A) Saka
    B) Lundstram

I know, but had a mull over it, and what i could have at his expense made a lot more sense, he’s the Arsenal man yes, but hasn’t got the players around him to thrive, just so annoying forking out all that money i guess for a team who can’t score nowhere near as many as City. So annoying how he couldn’t even grab anything at Bou or Sheff Utd.

Not a huge Auba fan either

At his price he lives & dies according to his captaincy performances:

          BUR 6
          AVL 5
          BOU 2

That’s pretty much trolling right there

Always could do well of course

Indeed, i gave him a try but he’s just flattering to deceive all the damn time. Low scores against those teams is inexcusable for his price.

              ‘Twas ever thus

I got him in for his superb fixture run last December & all he did was 2-6-7-2-8-6-2 etc - not terrible but you need him being predictable and delivering in those flat track bully games to get the value out of him via captaincy

Said I’d swerve him from now on after that

Yeah completely agree. Did you take a hit to bring in Sterling then? Thoughts on Kun starting this weekend? Would be the only way for me to get one more city attacker without a hit :/

Home advantage is huge for city

    Ryan (Heaton)

    Team for the week

    Heaton
    Rico Fredericks Lund
    Salah Sterling(C) KDB Mount Son
    Abraham Wilson

    McGovern Tomori Soy Greenwood
    1ft .4itb

Not too thrilled with it but still might roll one. If Son disappoints probs look at bringing in CHO or Martial and upgrade def to TAA.

Anything else worth looking at? Pepe to get on a run?

    1. Thomas Magnum
      • 8 Years

Nice team, I like your idea of upgrading defenders if Son blanks but wait and see if the happens

If Martial remains fit, then he will be nailed as Utd now desperate for points. He will have less rotation risk than CHO, who might start to rotate with Pulisic, Mount or even Pedro. Pepe seems an expensive gamble, but who knows? Arsenal very difficult to predict. West Ham also good home fixtures so Yarmolenko, Lanzini etc, a cheaper punt allowing you to ge TAA in?

      1. Connor Wickham
        • 10 Years

Martial was the one I was set on bringing in this week but after seeing the performance tonight having second thoughts. As a tractor boy I would love to see him bang a hat trick so still havent ruled it just yet. Yarmalenko would be the one from West Ham and a decent shout to consider, cheers.

Hi posted yesterday but no reply as 'bottomed'.
My team is: Pope (Button); TAA, Tomori, Ota, (Lund, Rico); Mane, Son, CHO, Traore, (Luiz); Aguero, Auba, Abraham with 1FT and nil in the bank.

Would like to upgrade midfield and preferably City midfielder.
    Should I ??
    A) change Son to KDB, and to get funds Ota to 5.0 or less (WHam as fixtures?) for -4?
B Son to Dilva for nothing ,
C Son to Dilva and Luiz to James or Yarmolenko -4?
    D. Aguero to Vardy and Son to Sterling -4

Very undecided and would appreciate help, please

If you are set on getting a city mid I'd go for A but with Kdb possibly sitting deeper not sure it's worth a hit. Personally think I would stick as is for the week

Depending on who plays in middle with rodri out and full backs changes his postioning a bit. Probs not much in it and still get involved I'm sure just makes it bit less tempting for a hit.

calculated how points have been scored in my team, KDB is a standout leader, got all his 66 points, then Salah with 45(solde him for Mane), and then the legend Lundstram, got 39 from his 45 points, followed by Digne and Van Dijk with 24 and 21(they both sold after GW 6 and 5 respectively). 13 players scored from 10 to 19. Yes I din't own Kun, but still it shows how defenders are better value then midprice mids, and I am planning to play 4-3-3 now and then, just need to decide whom to get. Not keen on Pool double, thinking of TAA and Pereira, at the moment giving Ota a chance with 2 nice home fixtures. Also in my opinion Soyuncu is a terrible 3rd def and overrated, he sits only 30th in defenders with 27 points(if you played hm every game) with 13 defenders scoring more in the same price bracket.

Pope enough cover TBH. Get a move on your opposition.
Arsenal: Tierney when he starts playing
Schar: Good both ends of the park.
Kelly: Bench warmer and you will not know who to play half the time.
          Willems: Great differential.
          Double up on Pool?

        I play 3-4-3 most weeks.
Missed out on Lundstram at the start and haven't bothered getting him after that.
Considering Saka to CHO but don't want to have three Chelsea attackers.

No Lundstram? Best points getter for a defender and costs nothing. Not bench fodder any more and should be 1st on teamsheet!

2FTs (0.0 ITB) and no idea what to do... Help please

    Pope (Button)
    TAA Otamendi Tomori (Ludstram, Kelly)
    Salah Sterling KDB CHO (Cantwell)
    Haller Pukki Abraham

    Maybe Cantwell+Pukki -> Dendocker+Jimenez?

    Cheers

Jimi good fixtures too. But you moving Cantwell when he has value on or off the bench for a totally nondescript bench warmer and it it taking 2 transfers.

    Any move needed?
    1 FT 1.5 ITB

    Pope
    Digne Ota Rico
    Sterling KDB Maddison Yarmo
    Haller Auba Abraham

    Button Lunds Guendo Pieters

save should be good as I need to bring in Mane next week, but it could be easy to swap him with Sterling if I only need 1 FT.

thanks, yeah I also feel Lunds better than Rico. But have you ever feel confidence when you have many offensive players from a team, then you don't wanna play the defender from the team who against your offensive team. I have Yarmo+Haller who play against Lunds, that's why I doubt to play Lunds here.

I ditched Salah last week and Sterling has biggest chance to be ditched next week. But I will bring Mane for that as Liverpool fixtures looks strong.

Cheers. Otamendi for (AVL, SOT) next is quite appealing and I think Robbo and Jimenez can probably wait a couple of weeks, so edging towards B at the moment.

Agree both can wait but is Zinchenko as likely to start this week though? Not sure I'd transfer Ota in or out atm but could work out well.

Seems like Zinch has got a lot more competition with Mendy back, who is a better left back.

Not usually a fan of keeper changes, but have the exact amount for Ryan -> Leno. Fixtures about to get tough for BHA. Thoughts?

Mendy will displace zinch for sure long term just might get the start this week after mendy played mid week.

Decent run for an arsenal keeper just never hold out much hope for returns. I'd probs stick
