Pundits Playoff MW2 Results

Halfway through the first period of the Pundits Playoff now, and the results are in for match week 2.
Following their domination of Matchweek 1, Unbelievable Jeff FC continued in the same fashion and are the current league leaders. Here are the teams in league order:

  1. Unbelievable Jeff FC, with 29 points
  2. WhenTheOWENgetsTough, 27.5 points
  3. Blame it on Rio, 27 points
  4. The Keane Fifteen, 25 points
  5. Back to Square Owen, 20 points
  6. “15” Musketeers, 16 points
  7. Brazil Nuts, 14 points
  8. Nirvana Scott Talent, 6 points
  9. BSC Small Boys (in the park) FC, 5.5 points
  10. A Whole Lawro B*llocks, 4 points
  11. Slaven’s Ball-itch, 3 points
  12. Holly’s Hamsters, 0 points

Full details of the scores, results and tables can be found here.

Most Valuable Player and Best Manager

Wolverine (£100m) from Unbelievable Jeff FC is the current MVP, with a score of 140.
Unsurprisingly, the best manager of the period so far is Pirlo’s Pen of…yes you guessed it…. Unbelievable Jeff FC. His team have the highest squad value and the highest H2H scores too.

Matchweek 3 fixtures

  • WhenTheOWENgetsTough vs Back to Square Owen
  • BSC Small Boys (in the park) FC vs A Whole Lawro B*llocks
  • Nirvana Scott Talent vs Holly’s Hamsters
  • The Keane Fifteen vs Unbelievable Jeff FC
  • “15” Musketeers vs Slaven’s Ball-itch
  • Brazil Nuts vs Blame it on Rio

A reminder that each team must now nominate three players for each of the H2H matches to earn bonus points, and two players to grace their team bench who’s scores will not count. A brief reminder of how the scores work in each match:

Team with best combined score of their starting 13 will earn 9 points. In the case of a draw both teams get 3 points. A losing team gets 0 points.
Winner of H2H A will earn their team an extra 3 bonus points.
Winner of H2H B will earn their team an extra 2 bonus points.
Winner of H2H C will earn their team an extra 1 bonus point.
Any drawn H2H’s will share the bonus points for that H2H.

IMPORTANT: teams that fail to nominate their three H2H and sub players will forfeit any bonus points, so team managers make sure you get these done on time.

MW 3 DEADLINE FOR TEAM NOMINATIONS IS 11:00AM SATURDAY 2ND NOVEMBER.

Scoring on match days will be shown here

Everyone can input their own scores, and managers are responsible for checking their opposition scores. A reminder that Wildcard and Free Hit scores are allowed, but scores with Triple Captain or Bench Boost used should be adjusted to keep things fair.

Will the Hamsters finally get some points? Can the Keane Fifteen achieve a shock win against Unbelievable Jeff FC?

Not a problem, it was kind of a smaller update this week anyway - half term and looking after kids not freeing up much time for writing articles!

It’s been a long night at the BIOR camp: Proudmore’s still out at the Vardy Party; Waldo is orchestrating the strutting of the Sterling cappers; KDB owners are chuntering about David Silva’s invisible big toe; and MIR has found out what a H2H victory feels like. Meanwhile Gee is organising a search party as Tinkerman has wandered off again. I do hope he hasn’t fallen in with the BSC Small Boys crowd.

We’re on the road again in GW11, and it’s Vegan Week in the tent as we plot how to sink our teeth into Brazil’s Nuts. They are already licking their wounds, having done a ‘Mason Greenwood’ in GW10, and the Talk Sport airwaves are awash with calls for the Ginger Whinger’s head. It looks like this could be a close shave.

We put Rio in charge of the SatNav, which may have been a mistake as our base camp is an Amazon Depot in Ipswich; however, Spatburgunder, Oddjob, and Slasher have already made a start on mingling with the indigenous population. Gee is attending a Granit Xhaka masterclass on captaincy, so Lord and Overthinker are in charge of training: the edited highlights will be out soon in a thirteen volume box set, which will include Captain Kakaroto demonstrating the prototype of Raheem Sterling’s regeneration machine, as well as exclusive footage of Riddermorten pining for red meat. Oblivious to this, FP Elephant is still busy fiddling the mileage on his expenses claim, so it was left to Steve and Step Rovers to remind everyone that we’ve still got a game to play.

    Who’s up for a Brazilian?

Are they the lungs of the planet? Is there life on Mars? Ziggy played guitar. Is there any future? Is it all over? Hard to say really. My wife's left me.

Nirvana Scott Talent are getting owned by the Hamsters with huge tallywhackers, 765-785.

      I make it...….

You: 22 points + Vardy x 2, Soy x 2, Schmeichel, Chilwell, Pereira, Maddison; Son.
      Us: Ayew; Mina, Aurier.

      Call it a draw...…...?

Not a chance, no way we are staying at the bottom of the table. It's not over yet though, red card for Vardy and a couple of pens conceded by Soy would get you guys back into the game

    UJFC (leaders) vs TK15n(underdogs)

    TK15n - 55+2*Periera
    UJFC - 3*Vardy+2*Maddison+Digne+Aurier

    Bonus 3-UJFC
    Bonus 2-TK15n
    Bonus 1- 1 vs Vardy(UJFC)

Should be a close finish, if Leicester win big..

Fair play to WhentheOWENgetsTough, was a close one until Soy boy found the back of the net for Leicester and started "outswarming" us. At the end of the day, it was a good game, but a poor game, if you know what I mean

Boris, first of all great job putting this tournament together. Fantastic job you and others are doing of running it.
Now that the first transfer window is coming up will we (keane 15) get a preference to pick players ahead of others since we did not get pre draft picks?
Kadhai paneer (shivam) stepped in at last moment to when the 12th manager was AWOL so it's only fair he gets some returns on the good gesture....something to consider
