Scoutcast discusses how to learn from FPL mistakes

Join us for the latest episode of the Scoutcast this evening.

As per usual, the show will be running on our YouTube channel from 20:00 GMT until 21:00 GMT.

In episode 307, Joe will be joined by Holly Shand and Lee Bonfield to discuss how to learn from Fantasy Premier League mistakes.

After looking back on Gameweek 11, the three pundits will look to a tricky round of action for Fantasy managers.

Liverpool and Manchester City’s meeting at Anfield on Sunday is likely to temper enthusiasm for the popular premium options – and could increase pressure on our mid-price and budget assets.

With that in mind, our player of choice this week is John Lundstram (£4.8m) who simply won’t stop making FPL history this season.

After that, we’ll update you on the current differential and clean sheet standings.

As Liverpool and Chelsea are also playing in the Champions League, concurrently with the Scoutcast, we shall endeavour to bring you any relevant score or injury updates.

Lessons learned from Gameweek 11

Probably the next game at least yeah. Dinnery saying he recovered from a similar injury GW1 after 5 days but obviously there’s only 3 until palace. Could be worth benching over IB

so Mount is a doubt for the weekend, then there is international break and after that Chelsea have away game against Man City, I think it's time to sell him. I have a few options as I have 1.3 itb

    a) Maddison
    b) Martial
    c) Tielemans
    d) McGinn
    e) other?

    my current team:

    Pope, Button
    Rico, TAA, Lundstram, Tomori, Hanley
    Mane, Sterling, KDB, Cantwell, Mount
    Vardy, Abraham, Greenwood

Logic makes no sense, the international break is a positive if anything, as it allows for more time to recover. Man City have shown all season that they arent exactly solid defensively...way too kneejerk

Auba new arsenal captain. Arsenal in shambles. You know what I’d love to see? That arsenal team would’ve perfect for wilder to take on the big stage I really think he’s the real deal. Something like this would be sexy:

    Auba Pepe
Kola Ozil/new signing Xhaka Willock Bellerin
    Tierney Luiz Chambers
    Leno

Players would suit the system really really nicely

Assume that means Mount is selling value 6.5 eg. you bought him for 6.2, seems a bit too kneejerk, he recovered super quickly last time he was 'injured'

      1. Strchld

they way i think of it is..

      you lose mount for tielemans
mount POTENTIALLY misses/blanks 2 games in 3 weeks (IB)

tielemans has good few fixtures and easy swap for mount owners whatever value you'll lose.. you'll gain on tielemans all while getting a solid fit performer compared to mount (same points per minute)

      1. Planet_Marss
        • 4 Years
        4 years, 4 months ago

you still have to be willing to sacrifice 0.1 or 0.2 if yoou wanna go back to mount but it offers you a chance to be different from template and gain rank while players may rely on cheaper bench player during this time if mount is out

    5. Baps hunter

You might want him back. It would cost you 4-8 pts and one downgrade. I ditched KdB in similar situation and we all know the result.

    6. HashAttack

Tempting, I bought Mount at 6.1 but he's on 0% at the moment ... but I am not looking to get in Tielemans

I do prefer to cash in on a profit of 300-400K and move onto someone else - keeps the team SV closer to the the TV

Who to buy to enable Vardy purchase this week? (Both 4.4)
    A) Dendoncker (Home v Villa)
    B) Hayden (Home v Bou)

Start either or play Cantwell (Home v Watford)?

    Thanks

I think the Mount injury presents an opportunity with the FT this week. I bought at 6.2m so can afford for him to drop to 6.8m, and really I'd like to keep. So, would you do:

    A) Otamendi > Robertson (double up with TAA vs Man City)
    or
    B) Saka > Ayoze Perez (allowing Mount to be benched vs Palace and Citeh)

I'm leaning towards B tbh, as I only have Vardy vs Arsenal lol.

      Don’t like either tbh.

Perez hat trick may well be a one off

the hattrick is definitely a one off.. 2 in his pl career both against southhampton. he's probably a decent option for the price though.

I can bring in Robertson next week by swapping out Pukki after the Watford game. Does that effect your view?

I still plan to get double Liverpool defence next week - it would mean a switch of funds from Pukki and a -4.

I genuinely think Leicester will score 3 against Arsenal, and their fixtures are good. I'd be switching to 352 next week, which becomes 442 while Mount is out.

Hey mate. Plan to sort Otamendi out Friday evening. I really fancy a Leicester attacking double up for their run of fixtures. Think I've made up my mind!
