Is Abraham a better FPL asset at home or away?

With Manchester City and Liverpool meeting in Gameweek 12, Tammy Abraham (£7.9m) has been touted as one of the names to feature heavily in the captaincy debate.

Chelsea host Crystal Palace on Saturday lunch-time and a 12-point haul last time out for their number one centre-forward has only increased interest in him for the armband.

However, there are some managers put off by the disparity between Abraham’s attacking returns at Stamford Bridge and away from it.

Abraham scored 12 points in Chelsea’s 2-1 win at Watford

The former Aston Villa loanee has registered 11 attacking returns in as many league matches this season, nine of which have come on the road and only two at home.

As Gameweek 12 sees Crystal Palace make the short trip to Stamford Bridge, we will assess Abraham’s exploits at Chelsea’s home this season to see if he is likely to disappoint his owners there once again.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 campaign can access it in full.

How does Abraham’s goal threat differ home and away?

Lessons learned from Gameweek 11

It looks like Pulisic is worth more fantasy points than Mount at the moment, but I have a feeling that Lampard will keep switching him with CHO in his lineups. Mount's place and position in the team is more secure at the moment. But keep an eye on his ankle injury in the next days.

With Pulisic playing the full 90 yesterday. Would you hold CHO another week given that his chances of starting this GW have slightly improved?

    Firmino > Vardy worth -4?

It’s a move I’ll want to do now or later, so my thinking is just get it done and take the hit before a good fixture?

Morning dzz, planning to get mane from gw13 but not sure who to drop from sterling / kdb / vardy to fund the move. Thinking of the following move(s) over the next two weeks. i can then see how to do structure them this week

    Pope -- Heaton
Taa Tomori Lundy -- Rico Lascelles
Sterling Kdb Mount Dilva -- Cantwell
    Tammy Vardy Rashford

    A: Sterling + Dilva >> Mane + Maddison...then look at converting Rashford/Lascelles > Robbo/Ings depending on their form

    B: Dilva + Vardy + Rashford >> Mane + Ings + Jimenez and keep Sterling/Kdb

    C: Kdb + Dilva + Rashford >> Mane + Maddison + Ings and keep Sterling/Vardy

    Pope
    TAA Soyuncu Lundstram
    Mount* Mane Kdb CHO*
    Vardy Abra Jimenez
Button Rico Dendo Boly* 5.7itb 1ft

Completely confused now, the banked cash was to upgrade CHO. Best move?
    A. Boly to Robbo (originally next week).
    B. Stick to plan. CHO to Mads/Martial/Son
    C. Mount to same options.
    D. Dendoncker to Maddison/Martial
    E. Something else/nothing.

    so,

    KDB, Mane, maddison, mount, 4.5
    Vardy, abraham, jimenez

i'm on WC and want to break the mold a bit - what would you suggest? mount out because of injury? willem from newcastle? son? martial?

Yep I think that would edge it but form is key too. Chasing in mini leagues and I've boxed myself out of doing the Scouse double up at the back so considering the midfield.

Just can see myself dreading weekends owning both if the captain blanks and the other scores.

I'm going to consider what to do with Sterling after the Chelsea game. He essentially has Liverpool and Chelsea to save a spot in my team, if he performs poorly, the superb fixture swing comes for plenty of teams in GW14, and i can ship him out for Salah.

Thoughts on sterling to mane next week for triple pool (salah mane taa)

Do we think the risks of losing sterling is worth it or should patient owners stick it out? We all know what he can do but mane is playing so well and getting into great positions every time I watch him, more so than salah

    1. Karan14
      • 7 Years

      Assuming you got KDB also?

Salah hasn't looked at his best past few games.
Im in the same position as you and im considering it as well but ideally would like to see Salah pick up some form.

Also Chelsea at home for City might better than Palace away for Pool in GW13.

Can u just explain, why everybody is mad about Vardy?
It was the same with Pukki. They both overperformed their xG a LOT (more than x2), what happened with Pukki? That's what will happen with Vardy.
Don't chase points. Leicester are bad in terms of attacking, they score goals and got xG in 2 matches playing 11vs10 with bad teams.

Vardy scores on average 19 goals a season over the last four years. He has the form and fixtures and has adapted his game under rogers to be more of a flat track bully. He is on course for the best season of his career.

The man has a point. Vardy is bound to regress. The conversion rate is simply unsustainable. Maddison has been ticking over for me and offering the same value as Vardy

Caught me at a good time! Did you watch Foxes vs Palace? Vardy was invisible until the goal. I wouldn’t be happy with 6 points for a 9.4 asset

I suppose with your rank you need massive hauls to trouble the top 1m, so fair point.

Lol, if you want to go down that path I’m more than comfortable with my current OR given I’ve had 9/11 captaincy blanks. Never finished outside the top 0.01% which is more than you can say given your track record!

Pukki is brutal compared to him. Vardy could well regress buf he has no Euro club games or Intrrnationals to distract him or be rested for. Doing well for an auld fella.

        Vardy being compared to Pukki?

        Interesting, nonsense debate

        Vardy -
        proven in prem
        plays for a great team
most of the time he plays as their focal point
        undroppable
has maddison, perez, barnes, tielemens in behind him

        Pukki
        failed in scots prem
scored a few goals in a scattergun team that are going down
has cantwell, buendia and stiepermann behind him

        Who cares about xG?

Any suggestions for below guys? No leicester is obviously a concern but contemplating holding and having 2FT's next week:

      Gazza

      Tomori / Rico / Lowton / Lundstram

      Mane / Sterling / KDB / Mount

      Abraham (C) / Auba

      Button / Connolly / Dendonker / Soyuncu

And what you think will happen at Anfield?
If it’s a goal fest you’ll do well, if it’s a close 1-0, not so much

depends when you bought Mount. If you got him cheap i'd hold. if he misses this weekend the IB will have come at a good time, with 3 weeks rest before the City game, then Chelsea have a good run, you'll be looking to get him back

I need to catch up ground here guys .
Sitting at 2.2mil, think its the worst rank I have had at this stage of the season.

Considering doing Haller> Jimmy this week for -4
and another -4 next week to bring in Mane and Robertson for Aurrier and Sterling.

Do you guys think taking two hits in a row is going to negatively effect me?
I think they are sensible moves, just need them to not backfire.

I have all three you’re wishing to bring in so obviously I think they are good picks.

Whether they will cover a -4 next week is another matter.

Also I suspect that you would be headed towards a template rather than a differential.
