FFScout nominated for Online Media of the Year at FSA Awards 2019

We are delighted to announce that Fantasy Football Scout has been nominated ‘Online Media of the Year’ by the Football Supporters’ Association.

Our site has been shortlisted as one of six candidates in the category and we have been named alongside some big names in the footballing industry.

Scout will go up against The Athletic, FourFourTwo.com, Football365.com, Price of Football and Guardian cartoon columnist David Squires.

Our category will be decided by a public ballot, so if you would like to see us crowned the winners then you can VOTE FOR US HERE.

There are a number of categories in the FSA Awards for 2019 including Men’s Player of the Year, which will see Sadio Mané (£12.0m), Virgil van Dijk (£6.4m), Raheem Sterling (£12.1m), Son Heung-min (£9.6m) and Jamie Vardy (£9.5m) go head-to-head for the prize.

Members of the mainstream media are also being honoured by the FSA as the likes of Martin Tyler, Peter Drury, Guy Mowbray and Conor McNamara compete for Commentator of the Year while Sky Sports pair Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher are among the nominees for Pundit of the Year.

To be shortlisted for an award alongside so many other massive figures and organisations in the football industry is such an honour for all of us here at Scout and we want to pass on our thanks to everyone who has helped us maintain our position as the number one resource for Fantasy Football.

The site has undergone a period of transition in recent times, but we have remained committed to providing a variety of high-quality content, on a number of different platforms, both for our Members and those in the wider Fantasy Football community.

Personally, I would like to thank the fantastic team we have at Scout for their hard work. It is so great to see Chris, Neale, Geoff, Paul and our army of contributors and moderators, as well as technical and commercial staff behind the scenes, have their efforts recognised at a national level.

Thanks are also due to this site’s founder Mark Sutherns, who created the beast and went on to tame it before bestowing the privilege of running it upon a new team.

We also want to say a heartfelt thank you to all our readers and Members for your ongoing support and interest in the site.

We would never be where we are today without you all and we are continually grateful for the time you spend using our product and consuming our content.

Good luck to all of you for the latest round of Fantasy Premier League action and may your arrows be green!

Sterling mainly scores tap ins while ghosting into box and can be found out against compact teams.

Mane is better technically and can beat players, and has better team play as well as score vital goals

Same here. With the way my bench lunk has gone this season, I'm now sure Mount would blank. Mulled over this all week and knew I'd pick the wrong option (in hindsight) eventually anyway. 50:50 calls wreck me. Last night was painful, especially when the red card brought some hope

Here's hoping Mount grabs a goal or something

suggestion on the next best move with 0m itb. Frustratingly 0.1m short of lascelles/rashford >> robbo/ings (-4)

    Pope — Heaton
Taa Lundy Rico — Lascelles Tomori
Sterling Kdb Martial Mount — Cantwell
    Tammy Vardy Rashford

A: Sterling >> Mane (exact funds so will need to make the transfer today/tomz)

C: Something else...maybe even save and have a mini WC in gw14

Nice! Yeah, I'm surprised he's still fit. Think he could definitely do bits. I have memories of him destroying loads if Christmas clean sheets for my players so it would be nice to get on the right side of that.

Thinking Cantwell and Kelly to Dendonker and Janmaat. Thoughts?

    Pope
    Söyüncü Rico Lundstram
    Salah Sterling KDB Mount
    Vardy Abraham Firmino

    Button Cantwell Kelly Reid

Avoid Janmaat. He’s was cut to pieces by Hernández yesterday. Too slow IMHO.

Looking at next gameweek, Salah or Sterling and Greenwood to Mount and Vardy for free looks awfully tempting...

    Would leave me with:

    Pope
    Soyuncu | Tomori | Lundstram | Rico
    Salah/Sterling | Mane | KdB | Mount
    Kane | Vardy

    Button | Janmaat | Connolly | D.Luiz

I've been advising everyone all week that selling Salah/Sterling is madness...

BUT I think this is a case where it ought to pay off, since you also have Mane + KDB, and the players you're bringing in are so good.

Building my team for a 'heavy' midfield presence, 3-5-2.

    Have Mane/KDB/Mount/Perez/Cantwell

    5m in the bank.

    A) Mount > Pul and Cantwell to Son
    B) Mount > Pul and Cantwell to Rashford
    C) Perez > Maddison and Cantwell to Son
    D) Perez > Maddison and Cantwell to Rashford
    E) Something else - advise?

    Thanks in advance!

I am 70 30 pro that. I have other defenders I am happy with so Robbo will have to wait for second part of the season....

It might fail spectacularly but fpl is a risky game

You can say what you want about Zlatan but if he gets a contract at the age of 38(!) with Milan(!!) as a striker(!!!) it's a testament to how unique a player he is. And yes, I understand it's not a done deal yet and even if it happens he might spend it on the bench, but just to be relevant at his age... Truly amazing!

Thinking of something similar but with a power 8 up front:

      Mane-Martial-Son-Mount-Tielemans
      Tammy-Vardy-Abraham

No city which can be a worry though but I am more than happy with it

Well done to the team at FFS for getting nominated FSA awards, this is a nice feather in your caps.

You will have your work cut out for you trying to beat the likes of The Athletic which is a great publication but good luck with it and ye have my vote anyways.

Notably the scoutcast is not nominated for best podcast category so ye have some work to go to get it to it's rightful place. 😉

There was a guy from The Athletic on BBC Sport yesterday being interviewed about the England v Germany women's game. He was asked who were the dangers in the German team and his reply was basically "It depends who the coach selects, there are a few who will be sure starters, there are two in midfield who are a real threat.' Lol 😀

Sometimes you just have to blag it i guess.

I don't think i could give a better answer if asked about the England v Germany women's game that is for sure. 🙂
