Which FPL players are most involved at set-piece situations?

We take a closer look at set-piece takers in this latest Members’ article.

For those who are unaware, our Set Pieces tab details the expected corner-kick, free-kick and penalty takers for each Premier League side.

Subscribers can also see which players are getting onto the end of dead-ball deliveries, with headed attempts from set plays also chronicled.

The lists are based on a mix of information gathered from this season’s matches, last season’s numbers and pre-season friendlies, and are updated after every Gameweek as new information becomes available.

In the piece below, we study the dead-ball specialists and their teams in greater detail.

    Taa/soyuncu/guilbert/tomori/Lund
    Mount/Madison/cantwell/mane/kdb

        Pope
        TAA - Robbo - Lund - Soy
        Mane - KDB - Maddison
        Vardy - Auba - Tammy

        Woodman - Cantwell - ???? - Tomori

Look at the sea of green fixtures for most of that team.

Downgrade Cantwell to the cheapest possible and save FT

Other possibility is to get a one week punt goal keeper and then shift to Henderson/Gazza for GW14

with 2ft cantwell out is on the cards yes, but for someone at same price or a cut above? what will you want to do in future moves dictates this a little and with 1.1 you have almost enough for a very good investment in Mcginn0.2 away from Grealish with christmas in mind. I think you should pick one with that in mind, but not so easy to pick one i admit

Hm, if you want a more expensive defender Auba out after Norwich could free up money to reinvest in that fifth mid plus defender and then you will have much better cards when you choose that fifth mid. I would perhaps looking at a second goalie before i turn to Cantwell in order to beef up that spot with auba money after gw14? Traore prob the best bet below 5.7 if you want to go Cantwell now. Moutinho and El ghazi other ones that pops up but not sure i want that when just for 5.8 or 5.9 you can get Villa mids that are playable and with an excellent run of fixtures in christmas time

Winks being further forward is what I've wanted, he's not great defensively. But he's one of our best passers imo. Should complement Ox's energy quite well. Just a shame we're so damn weak in the DM position.

3-5-3 suits us in that it covers our weaknesses at CB and gives our flying full backs more licence to go forward. However it means 3 CBs marking usually just one striker, and against Croatia, even that wasn't enough.

4-3-3 works best for our attacking players and high press. But it means a lot of responsibility on a good defensive midfielder, and we don't have one.

I was pretty set on doing one of these transfers with my FT

    A) Tomori to Robertson
    B) Mount to Martial/Maddison/Pulisic

But Im now considering the third option, which is to Save the FT for the following reasons:

    1) Robertson flagged and I would gain +0.1 SV on Tomori when he inevitably rises
    2) I bought Mount at 6.0 and he might be more nailed/less injury prone/just as good an option compared to Pulisic/Martial/Maddison
3)Got Son in the team who I might not want after this gameweek. Could then downgrade him to Maddisson and upgrade Kelly to Robertson without getting rid of Tomori/Mount

    Thoughts?

Hmm. Might not be mentally fit to play after that ordeal... Salah injured, Gomez might be punished by Klopp for recent issues with riling up Sterling unnecessary... Pool falling apart ...

I cannot see Rice as a serious international player. The sort of player I'd prefer to see playing for the oppo, not England.

don't rate Winks all that highly either, but Rice? Nah. I know we need some kind of deep sitting enforcer but surely there must be better than these?

It’s quite a Southgate special this line up. Putting players anywhere and hoping whether it makes any sense or not. Needs to sort himself out we won’t be playing against ducks every game in the Euros

As an outsider that never saw it coming home, agree Southgate been riding a bubble. When the going gets tough will he have answers. Not convinced

We need to bring on someone who can create opportunities instead of wasting a spot in the 11 on winks to do nothing.
Kane is best when he can actually play at striker as we saw on thursday

He was playing so badly they stopped bothering to track him then he scuffed a 1 on 1 past the keeper. Nothing special about him.
