Which FPL players are most involved at set-piece situations?

We take a closer look at set-piece takers in this latest Members’ article.

For those who are unaware, our Set Pieces tab details the expected corner-kick, free-kick and penalty takers for each Premier League side.

Subscribers can also see which players are getting onto the end of dead-ball deliveries, with headed attempts from set plays also chronicled.

The lists are based on a mix of information gathered from this seasonโ€™s matches, last season’s numbers and pre-season friendlies, and are updated after every Gameweek as new information becomes available.

In the piece below, we study the dead-ball specialists and their teams in greater detail.

I reckon Foden is but they don't seem to want to take him out of the U21s. He needs to be in the full squad.

I hate animal suffering, and if there was a way to stop millions of animals being torn apart by predators every day I would do something. Unfortunately that's nature. I tried to go vegan for a while but I really struggled.

We kill nearly 70 billion animals every year for food. We are the only predators that can do something about it. We have zero need to kill them because you can live healthily without them.
Lions have no moral agency, unlike us. They also can’t survive without meat.
Personally I wouldn’t like to derive my morality from a wild animal

Battery farming is horrid, and something I always avoid. But personally I can live with free range meat conscience free - there's relatively little suffering there.

free range/organic chickens get killed at: 8 weeks/12 weeks (life spans 12 years)

Organic Cows killed at: 3 years (life span 22 years)

Also doesn’t avoid the immediate slaughter of baby male chicks and calfs.
There is no avoiding suffering unless you avoid buying it

Buy responsibly and then you can be sure that at least they enjoyed life, or at least hope so. I buy from my local farms, mainly for taste but commercial farming is pretty grim tbf

Can you be sure? Is being treated like a commodity a good life? These animals are sent to death as soon as it is efficient to do so (very prematurely). There are also other standard farming practices which are inherently cruel. Eg instant killings of baby male chicks and calfs.
Animal exploitation in all forms is pretty grim

Why thank you sir! I don't like to see Utd in the relative doldrums but if they had a really good scouting dept then they'd be right up there. Nevertheless you've done very well with James. I'm convinced there are some more gems out there - you don't necessarily have to spend 60 million on each player.
What do you think of these Bale for Pogba rumours? Would Bale fit in at OT?

I completely agree. Our scouting system has been sh.t !
Shouldn't have let Tielemans join you guys tbh. He's a special talent.
James was a classic signing yeah. Tbh, I'm in love with the guy, especially because he's a proper winger & we haven't had one since last decade !!
All inverted strikers playing on wings like Tony, Rashford etc etc

He's a guy who loves to bust his lungs off, kiss the white line, put in nice crosses etc ... Yeah and I'm smelling change in United's attitude in market too.
Which comes to Bale part which i find as BS. He's trying to get more ££ from his other possible suiter using United's name which is usually the case

I used to love the way Bale played but if he's interested merely in his salary then you don't want him. Money is a lousy motivator ..... it's the desire to win trophies that you want - and that usually comes from younger, hungrier players. Good luck!

Thanks Debauchy. It's a wonderful and totally unexpected thing and it's very difficult to get tickets again. We have a young team (Vardy apart) and they are really going for it. I don't expect them to win the league but if we get 4 points from GW 18 & 19 I might have to start dreaming again!

They deserve it. It was easy for any club to fall for the limelight of PL win & spend like mad on players after winning PL & looking at themselves as a CL club (lure to earn 35/40m £ season i guess revenue from CL)
But they kept it tight enough & kept investing in youngsters.

If any of you guys follow IPL, i find them pretty similar to Rajasthan Royals franchise. They also have a knack to unearthing new talents each season.

I'm very impressed with Leicester club management (especially looking @ my clubs record over last few seasons in market..... )

IPL is a show about cheerleaders and money. It was and is never about cricket. Dont ever compare IPL to EPL as IPL has no sense of sincerity and where teams get axed for matchfixing..

One of the mysteries from poch

Kane was outstanding as a striker a few seasons ago. Then he suddenly was given a new role, supporting attacks dropping deeper.

It's as if poch made a decision he couldn't play as striker anymore and was preparing him as a number ten. Maybe 3-4 years too early for that to happen

Poch made some other strange decisions by changing Alli position from support striker to cm. Not trust Lucas. The list goes on.

Not sure if he's the great manager people make him out to be

      1. Ask Yourself
        • 7 Years
        4 years, 4 months ago

I have been a poch doubter for a while. I agree Kane’s future lies at no10, unbelievable range of passing. But right now he is the best finisher in world football. Made absolutely zero sense for him to be moved deeper in his peak.
Even less sense as you say when there are players like Alli who play this role brilliantly. He has attempted to ruin both player’s club careers.
All this with the unrest in the club and them being 14th, his time has to be up soon

        1. Ask Yourself
          • 7 Years
          4 years, 4 months ago

Sarri would be the perfect fit for that squad imo:
          Son Kane Lucas
          Erik/Alli Ndombele
          Winks
          Rose/Sess Vert Sanchez Foyth
          Lloris

That’s already better as you know players are playing the roles they are meant to be

          • 6 Years

I don't think it's poch I think it's kane. Kane is too powerful at that club. I think if you asked what type of player he is, he'd say bergkamp rather than shearer, which is clearly wrong.

Not so sure......TAA really needs to buckle down and learn to defend better. Winks had two good games. CHO looks out of touch can see him staying on the bench. Gomez made of glass.....

Or he should do a bale and become a RM and then improve shooting to become RW. He is way too good at crossing to waste time defending

The fact that no one from the police has watched that interview and been like 'We should probably question that guy?' is mind-blowing...

Anyone that is a decent poker player knows that he was bluffing in that interview.

No question about it that Epstein was bumped off but by who?

He had dirt on a lot of powerful people with a lot to lose and if it was not the royals that clipped him then it he was probably the latest victim of the Clintons.

Need to add a Liverpool DEF with their positive fixture swing and want to double up on Leicester Attack (already have Vardy) but can't decide between the following 2 options:

    A) Sterling + Robertson + Tielemans

    B) KDB + Alexander-Arnold + Maddison

Head says go with B due to all the set piece takers, but as a City fan who's watched every game this season, Sterling seems far more of a threat than KDB, especially with Kevin relying heavily on out of form Aguero and Jesus' finishing.

    Which option do people prefer?

So Maddison a unused sub, are we any clearer on his fitness ahead of gw13?

Hopefully we'll get more info on Madders during the week. I already bought him for a hit, and I already have one injury doubt in Salah. ๐Ÿ™

Great couple of England games for Mount. Confidence and fitness looks back scored and had a marginal off side goal wiped off. And only played 70 mins over two games......City shaky defence will have a tough match...
