Scoutcast crew tackles how to plan for gruelling winter period

The Scoutcast returns tonight in the build-up to Gameweek 13, starting at 20:00 GMT on our YouTube channel.

As the international draws to a close we are looking ahead to the next round of action as well as the upcoming winter schedule.

Between now and the end of the calendar there will be eight Gameweeks so it’s important to get our planning just right.

In episode 308, Joe will be joined by Tom Freeman and Holly Shand.

Between the three of them, they boast a total of 17 finishes inside the top 10k, so we’re expecting some excellent insight.

As well as discussing the frantic festive period, Mason Mount (£6.8m) comes under scrutiny in light of Christian Pulisic’s (£7.4m) recent form and the mid-price Leicester options.

Meanwhile, many Fantasy managers are contemplating how to invest in Liverpool over the coming weeks with the age-old debate about double-defence or double-attack the focus of discussion tonight.

Very similar team to mine. Same strikers, KDB, Mane and some defends. I also don’t have any Pool defenders, but planning on getting TAA this week by downgrading a mid. You could do the same, Willian maybe make way.

Still stuck on who to captain. Please help guys. Currently on C but B is a big differential and i'm tempted. Thank you all.

    A) Vardy
    B) Sterling
    C) Mane

A if you want to play safe. B if you want to risk a bit of fall but higher gain if it works. Personally, I am locked on B.

As good as A. Safe choice. Don't expect a major haul though. But can be wrong.

I don’t know how anyone can feel a sterling haul, he’d have to do something to suggest that could happen when he’s done exactly zilch. Really don’t get it at all, most shocking player for value this season, so glad i booted the waster.

He's performed at a top level in all competitions but EPL. Still looking deadly so its only a matter of time imo especially playing for a team like City. I would agree with you if he wasn't performing at all for club and country this season but yes he is not worth the price tag atm.

Guys in a dilemma, plan is to get Mane in for Sterling inorder to do that I need to downgrade Cantwell to Hayden or dendo..have one ft..Definitely keeping sterling this week..So question is should I save the transfer and deal with this next week or should I Just bring in Hayden or dendo for cantwell this week to avoid the price drop and do sterling to mane next week?

Personally I’d try avoid the price drop. Cantwell definitely needs to go so no point losing value.

he is not blind and that spurs team is bundled with quality, so unlike that United team he inherited i think this team suits him better in terms of quality. Creativity and stamina in Eriksen/Lo celso, Ndombele, naugthyness in Alli, Son and and a reliable goalscorer up front. Good covers for most positions apart from maybe right back, he tends to favour a dm that can sit deep, Spurs don´t have that typical one like matic/kanté but Ndombele could perhaps function in it with some adjustment.

The HT last night was Pochettino sacking implications - this definitely needs to be Mourinho manager implications now!

I won’t be touching Spurs assets for a few GWs based on this.a new manager bounce happens if the fans approach it with optimism - can’t see that happening with Mourinho as Spurs fans will have witnessed first hand United and Chelsea performances under him.

Then there is the style of football. Can’t see Kane and Son hailing anytime soon!

Any plans to bring them in? Or get rid?

I think Kane could certainly be revitalised under Jose. England seem to get best out of Kane yet strangely Spurs fail him.
