Scoutcast crew discuss FPL stubbornness and Spurs assets

The Scoutcast crew have a busy evening of Fantasy Premier League discussion ahead of them.

Join Joe, Az and Lee from 20:00 GMT to 21:00 GMT for episode 309 on our YouTube channel.

While Spurs and Manchester City play their latest Champions League matches, our panel of pundits will be focussing on these two teams in particular.

The arrival of Jose Mourinho in north London has the potential to unlock several Fantasy assets while Sergio Aguero’s (£11.9m) injury could see Gabriel Jesus (£9.5m) get a run of starts.

Meanwhile, our talking point revolves around the concept of stubbornness in FPL.

How long is too long to wait for a player to become good? At what point do you recognise that the in-form option you don’t own won’t stop scoring?

Tune in shortly to find out!

      Hi
Who would you say out of these are most likely to win at weekend?

      Spurs to beat Bournemouth
      ManUtd to beat Villa
      Leicester to beat Everton?

Spurs after tonight I don't think I will touch them
Utd have a game Thursday so could affect them
Leicester look best on paper but are they due a slip up

      ?

Leicester should overcome a poor Everton side easily, Spurs I'm not so sure about and I can see Utd struggling to score against Villa

I have a dilemma. To replace Ryan with Henderson. And next week straight swap Auba --- Kane. Or to roll the FT and next week and to bring in Jimenez and Son and transfer out Auba and Mount.

      1. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus

I’d tip Guaita over Henderson - keep Lundy for Sheff Utd representation & diversify into Palace’s softening fixture list for a the next month or two - they should return CS’s at a fair old clip through that list (hopefully! No guarantees obvs 🙂 )

        1. Riggs

That's quite an advice. Hadn't think of Guaita 🙂 Now I have to think how to bring spurs player without -4 😀 Kane instead of Auba until New Year looks more and more possible.

And therefore the obvious conclusion is bias .

Yea when stuff like the Palace goal got disallowed for a minor push in the box that would have never been called against Pool its bias.

                  • 8 Years
                  4 years, 4 months ago

So for certain sides it's bias and for others it isn't .
Would you care to list all the sides VAR officials are biased in favour of so that we can check it out moving forward.

                  1. Brosstan
                    • 9 Years
                    4 years, 4 months ago

Its quite obvious that big teams get ref bias, not sure why anyone would even try to deny this. Its deluded to claim otherwise.

If it's so blatant show me the definitive proof . Still waiting for the list to test out your claims in future games.
So referees are biased in addition to VAR officials ?

Yep disallowed goals for fouls. What's the game coming to? You're obviously a supporter of a Manchester team lol. Liverpool are currently the best in England and you can't allow goals to stand for blatant fouls.

Got some tough decisions to make... with 2FT and 0m itb

        Pope -- heaton
Taa Lundy Tomori -- Rico Lascelles
Sterling Kdb Martial Mount -- Cantwell
        Tammy Vardy Rash

        A: Sterling + Lascelles >> Mane + Taylor...although might have a issue next gw if i dont martial / mount / rashford

        B: Sterling + Mount + Rashford >> Mane + Pulisic + Jimenez (-4)...but loosing rashford doesn't seem right

C: Sterling + Mount >> Son + Pulisic + 1.5m....like this move but no mane could hurt badly!

D: Sterling + Lascelles >> Son + Robbo...but that also means benching tomori which is a good and bad thing. Also means no mane

As much as we would not want to admit it, Leicester players are now ahead of Spurs, Arsenal and United's in the pecking order. If you have the likes of Maddison, you keep at the expense of all other mids inc Son and Martial imo. Pool, City, Lei and Chelsea assets are the way to go and I can't find that changing massively even with Mou coming in now. So those who are doing Mount to Son, be careful. Cheers.

Everyone is taking Mount out of their teams for Son etc Obviously Son as a player is better than both Mount and Maddison etc but Spurs aren't going to improve overnight. It will take time or it may even not happen, at least not this season.

You’re ignoring the point Son is easily outscoring Mount since GW4 - Spurs and Chelsea form irrelevant to personal returns

Denial in the way they are doing their moves. Most want/are bringing the likes of Son/Kane or even Alli in their teams, but can we trust Spurs at this moment in time?

Mount is averaging just over 3 points a game since GW6. Holding him for value or just because he plays for Chelsea (mostly) doesn’t add up.

Leicester's next 4 games are the best of any side. A treble up looks a must so no room for Utd, Spurs or Arsenal players I agree.
