If Kopp wins the PL this season then his achievements as Liverpool manager will be greater than Guardiola's achievements as Man City manager.

They wont, but if they do, Guardiola edges klopp slightly even if pool win the league

City won Back to Back PLs, and that too with record points totals and goals scored. If they win the CL this season, Guardiola edges it, unless Klopp wins the PL next season too.

After spending how much? Look at how City have fallen this season. Liverpool finished last season on 97 pts

Well it does. City prob fall off but Pep will spend big in Jan which is a major factor in his achievements

Yeah I get the contrast in what was provided for each, but I think if Pep added a CL to the - let's not forget, incredible - manner in which City won their last two titles, it would be a very close call.

Without a City CL, I agree wholeheartedly.

B to Pulisic, Lampard hinted at playing Pulisic up front. But that is only if Abraham is still out though.

Tammy Abraham to be assessed ahead of the Villa game. "We will find out more today and tomorrow," reported Lampard. "He needs to get outside and move a little bit over the next two days."

    https://worldsportsreport.com/lampard-considering-new-role-for-pulisic/

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has hinted he could deploy Christian Pulisic through the middle as a striker.

Lampard said: “We’ll see [whether Pulisic could play through the middle]. He’s got an ability to run behind the line and to be sharp in central areas, which will naturally get him more goals but I’m not going to say right now that’s the solution. We’ll see going forward.”

Didn't Hazard also play as a striker under Sarri and that wasn't really a great success so don't know if Pulisic as a striker will be great. Maybe he just needs to stay in his favorite position imo

either play pulisic playing much more advanced than mount who is depending on long range strikes.

Villa missing Guilbert so might be Pulisic vs Elmohamady down that left side so as a Puli owner would much rather he attacked from wide.

Just did Martial + Abraham to Zaha + Mousset..

Now looking forward to Tuesday transfers as below:

Soy + Saka for Aurier and Alli

    Will give me:

    Pope

    TAA Pereira Aurier Lund Kelly

    Mane Alli KDB Zaha Elneny

    Vardy Mousset Auba

Tough decision each week on playing 1 of Lund Mousset or Kelly.

But will give me cover for gwk 18

Is it worth doing the hit -4 on Tuesday to avoid being priced out od Soy + Saka for Aurier and Alli

Keep Moura if you can. Mourinho has rated him for a long time and tried to buy him for both Real and Man United. Against West Ham and Valencia, Moura was effectively a second striker, with Aurier providing width instead.

I believe he was rested on Saturday for the United game, which is psychologically important for Mourinho.

    3. Don Kloppeone
      • 6 Years

Moura could be a nice differential to hold onto.

Got my squad for the Xmas period.

    How is it looking?
Got to get benching headaches sorted each weekend, but do like its flexibility.

    Guita, Button

    Bench two of these:

    A) Chilwell (BRIGHTON)
    B) KDB (burnely)
    C) Cantwell (southampton)
    D) Tielemans (WATFORD)

I'm thinking Cantwell second on bench and the first bench spot is between Chilwell and Kdb.. really difficult. Appreciate your thoughts on it

    Afternoon all

After using my FT over the weekend, I am planning to hold on further moves this GW.
I'm not usually one to plan moves looking weeks ahead but I was just playing around and have seen I could do these moves over the next 2-3 weeks at a cost of -4 / -8:

    Pope > Guaita
    Rico > Aurier
    Mount > Pulisic
    Dendo > Zaha

This would give me the following team with £2.3m itb and flexibility to bring in MCI and potentially to just bench my LIV assets in GW18 for the blank:

    2.3itb
    Guaita, McGovern
    TAA, Soy, Lunds, Willems, Aurier
    Mané, Alli, Maddison, Pulisic, Zaha
    Vardy, Jimi, Ings

Keen to get your thoughts. Looking at the moves, they are all upgrades and should pay back any hits within a couple of weeks.

    Thanks 🙂

      • 6 Years

Personally I'd steer clear of Zaha, I think it's one of those famous 'traps'. But with you holding the transfer it will give you an extra game of info.

Also, Rico has a great GW18 fixture and great fixtures until GW28. Not knowing how your entire team looks like I'd still look into it, and see if maybe there was a way to keep hold of him (maybe transfer somebody else out or do it later. For instance GW18 Aurier has a much tougher fixture, so maybe after that?)

      Good luck!

Long term fixtures are incredible, mightn't be a great move but I don't think it's a massive mistake.

I'd give him and Palace up until gw18 to show some attacking form, and if they don't then look to the likes of Grealish

Tammy to Jesus was a rough. Not only did he blank, but I no longer have money to upgrade Mount to Pulisic/Alli and also kept Grealish on the bench.

Sterling, Cantwell, Abraham > Son, Pulisic, Jiminez -4 so 2 points worse off. Moving forward probably good moves.

      Rough willems on the bench.

Not much rough this week for a change, finished on 67, capped Son, finally got a Doherty goal after getting on WC 5 gameweeks ago and luckily wasn't punished by only having TAA from Liverpool.

      Smooth;

Great week, 57 points and up 8k from 28k to 20k. Still got my wildcard and yet to take a hit too!

Vardy(c), Trent, KdB, Jimenez and my early season differential performing again - Grealish!

      Rough;

Salah>Mane cost me a point. Hoping this pays off with starts over the busy period though. Abraham injury.

Rough - Mendy continues to underperfom and I keep losing value with him, Kelly points on bench, no Auba and VVD
Smooth - Nailing a captain Son, good points all around - KDB, TAA, Vardy, Sterling, Cantwell and nice green arrow from 950k -> 600k

Rough-ish: Sterling, Tammy, Connolly -> Pulisic, Kane, Ings -4 technically broke even since Rico would have come off the bench with 0, but realistically it feels like yet another poor decision. Mousset was a better long term pick than Ings, Alli or Son would be preferable to Kane.

Smooth-ish: 54 (-4) was only a small red arrow but I gained ground in my ML for the third consecutive week. Finally had the sense to just captain Vardy, and in the same week my rival tried to be clever with Mane

I got Auba on GW 8 and thought to myself: Now he will start blanking!

      Indeed I got 2, 2, 2, 8, 2 and 5 🙁

Last GW I got rid of him and thought to myself: Now he will start scoring again! 13 points 🙁

Don't worry, you're not the only one. I finally got rid after going for him over Vardy in my WC back then...obviously he gets a stroke of luck with a missed penalty/VAR retake this time. Last week I was punished by Vardy for this!

      Rough:

a bit of a rollercoaster week for me, was sick of my team so took a -16, i had exact funds so moved early but one of the moves was Abraham in for Auba lol, i'm not too bothered though since the rest of the moves worked out well enough and i now have a much better team imo

the moves i did were Auba to Abraham, Mount to Zaha, James to Son, Chambers to Tomori, Roberto to Martin (who i benched but needed the funds), i also capped Salah for a fail and ended up with 54-16 for 38pts which wasn't too disastrous with all things considered

      new team

      Pope
      Soy, Tomori, Lundstram
      Salah, Sterling, Son, Zaha
      Abraham, Jimmy, Vardy

      Martin, Luiz, Rico, Clark

First red arrow for a while and out of the cup in the first round to someone with a very similar team.
No VvD, TAA, Son or Alli and a GW score of 46.

Connolly to Ings payed off straight away. Keeping the armband on Vardy seems to be the best way forward.

Transfer was Abraham OUT, Jimi IN

Rough – Pope, Soy, Lund, Tomori, Salah and Maddison all blanking.

Smooth – Vardy (c), TAA 2 assists, KDB screamer

51 points which was the average for the week and a small red arrow

Smooth; Vardy cap over Mané. Son has been nice to own for a while, that stupid red card aside he´s been returning very well. Ings goal with bonus nice. Pereira assist second last kick on a ball this gw also nice even if it meant Vardy lost bonus points, but i rather want 7 for Pereira and 6 instead of 8 for Vardy
Rough; holding a transfer whichwas nice but changed from Cantwell first bench with lund when Emery got sacked, stupid decision.

55 points 5th green arrow in a row.

I decided to go against the mass and go with stats so I captained Rashford instead of Mané and Vardy which went okay. Benched Maddison for Djenepo who got an assist whilst the former blanked. TAA delivering 10 points was great.

Rough: Willems points on the bench. 🙁

      Rough - Mane captain blank

Smooth - TAA and VVD owner, imagine my delight when they combined for both goals. Also had great contributions from Son (10), KDB (10), Cantwell (8) and Vardy (6) for a final score of 73 and now go into the next GW with 2FT and OR 67,000 which I'm chuffed about after being around 850k five GWs ago.

Rough - Auba & Abraham out, Vardy & Lacazette (c) in for -4 only cost me about 14-16 points depending on how I look at it. Moved armband to Laca from Vardy at the last minute, also costing me 8 points.
Could easily have held and waited on Abraham injury for the midweek games, but I had to go all bleedin' punty didn't I?

Smooth - Precious little, but I suppose a score of 48 after the hit wasn't a complete disaster considering 🙁

I thought I had done terribly last week but I just noticed that despite making the following moves:
      - Sold Auba for Rashford
      - Sold Dunk for Aurier
      - Took a -8 hit
      - Benched Cantwell and Willems

I still got a green arrow. A smooth realised late is still a smooth.

Are we overlooking Aurier at 4.9.
Sure Spurs aren’t clean sheeting at the moment but Mou has an history of having things tied up after some settlement.
Plus aurier has great attacking threat and seems nailed.

    Downside is YC/RC magnet.
