Abraham starts again amid fears over fitness

Tammy Abraham (£7.9m) starts a second game in less than three days for Chelsea in the Gameweek 16 lunchtime kick-off.

Recently the most-owned player in FPL, Abraham shed a horde of owners after picking up a hip injury on Champions League duty which ruled him out of Gameweek 14 last weekend.

The forward was back in the midweek Chelsea XI as he grabbed a 12-point haul, only to be substituted late on with a fresh knock.

Owners will be delighted to see Abraham start again today alongside his usual partners in crime Willian (£7.1m), Mason Mount (£6.6m) and Christian Pulisic (£7.5).

Popular budget defender Fikayo Tomori (£4.9m) is benched for the second Gameweek in a row as Andreas Christensen (£4.9m) earns consecutive starts in central defence. That could see the centre-back top the list of transfers out for Gameweek 17.

Reece James (£5.0m), who assisted Abraham’s header against Aston Villa in GW15, starts for a third time in four Gameweeks at right-back, increasing his chances of becoming a viable Fantasy asset.

Everton caretaker boss Duncan Ferguson appears to have reverted to a four-man backline, after Marco Silva had switched to a back three for his final games in charge of the Toffees.

Yerry Mina (£5.3m) misses out through injury, leaving Leighton Baines (£4.9m) as the only defender on the Everton bench.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.4m) may be set to play a deeper role today as part of either a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 system, with Morgan Schneiderlin (£4.4m) the only recognised defensive midfielder in Ferguson’s XI. The temporary manager could also be planning to use a 4-1-4-1 set-up.

Richarlison (£7.8m) had looked set to face off against James from a left-wing position, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.7m) starting up front.

However, Everton’s official team graphic suggests ‘Big Duncan’ could be going back to his roots with an old school 4-4-2.

Everton XI: Pickford; Digne, Keane, Holgate, Sidibe; Iwobi, Schneiderlin, Sigurdsson; Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin, Walcott.

Chelsea XI: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Christensen, James; Kovacic, Kante; Pulisic, Mount, Willian; Abraham.

TAA, Mane and Pulisic is a great start for the scout picks. At least they get Lundstram off the bench.

Sacking team managers and bringing in team managers that have been sacked before to another team, suddenly revives the team's potential like "magic", or is it a plot by someone behind the scene?

Majority of the sports involving millions in money are just like WWE, but at least WWE is honest to own up.

Soccer cannot own up to their act because lots of innocent lives have been lost due to fan rivalries. This will bring about calamity to the sport that millions worldwide had endeared themselves to.

The truth will surface eventually. It is something that they have repeatedly done for decades, and they will pay in kind for misleading the millions of die hard football fans worldwide. Probably, most of us already know this, but just don't care about it one bit. Maybe, we just love to be deceived! 😀

I used to fervently support EPL, a Liverpool fan. But nowadays is a pedestrian fan even though Liverpool have achieved glory in CL and potentially this year’s EPL. All seems like a script written by people behind the scenes, played out by the players, managers, club chairmans, agents, and media.

Just chill and relax the entertainment that soccer provides.

Please don’t go on about using the word soccer means i know nothing about EPL or the sport. On the contrary, i will laugh at your ignorance of the interchangeable use of the word for the sport.

If skill is not the decider of football match outcome, then the promoted teams to premier league should be champions, and the champions should be demoted to the lower league. Spicing things up for entertainment seems to be the priority in EPL.
