Cantwell benched as Mousset returns to Sheff Utd starting line-up

Todd Cantwell (£4.7m) finds himself on the Norwich City bench as Gameweek 16’s Sunday matches get underway.

Daniel Farke has chosen to start Onel Hernández (£5.3m) and Emi Buendía (£6.0m) on the flanks of attacking midfield, despite Cantwell finding the net in each of his last two Premier League matches.

With a smattering of no-shows in Saturday’s matches, most notably Sadio Mané (£12.3m), more Fantasy managers than usual were relying on Cantwell but as things stand they will have to wait for him to enter the fray.

However, there was better news in the Sheffield United camp as Lys Mousset (£5.1m) returned to the starting line-up following a midweek benching, which coincided with a poor 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United.

David McGoldrick (£5.4m) also returns to the two-man front-line after registering just 18 minutes against the Magpies.

The rest of the Sheffield United team remains as usual, with FPL darling John Lundstram (£5.2m) keeping his place in central midfield.

Leicester City manager usually tries to keep his teams largely the same from one match to the next but he has made three alterations for the trip to Aston Villa today.

Ben Chilwell (£5.9m) returns from injury to displace Christian Fuchs (£4.3m) at left-back while Kelechi Iheanacho (£5.7m) and Dennis Praet (£5.3m) come in for Harvey Barnes (£5.9m) and Ayoze Pérez (£6.2m).

Most of the Aston Villa Fantasy assets are in place with Jack Grealish (£6.0m) still deployed on the left flank of the front-three and John McGinn (£5.8m) in central midfield.

However, Frédéric Guilbert (£4.4m) is on the bench with Ahmed El Mohamady (£4.2m) starting a second match in a row.

Finally, Danny Ings (£6.3m) has come through whatever Ralph Hasenhüttl was worried about midweek to start once again.

The Southampton manager hinted that he might have had some issues against Norwich although it was likely just a suffering of cramp.

“I was a little bit afraid because he had a little bit of a problem with his hamstring after the Norwich game, a little bit of cramp. With his history, it’s always dangerous for him.” – Ralph Hasenhüttl

Newcastle make just one change from the win over Sheffield United, Joelinton (£5.7m) restored to the side in the place of Andy Carroll (£5.4m).

Aston Villa XI: Heaton; Targett, Mings, Konsa, Elmohamady; McGinn, D Luiz, Nakamba; Grealish, Wesley, El Ghazi.

Leicester XI: Schmeichel; Chilwell, Söyüncü, Evans, R Pereira; Ndidi; Maddison, Tielemans, Praet; Iheanacho, Vardy.

Norwich City XI: Krul; Byram, Godfrey, Zimmermann, Aarons; Tettey, Vrancic; O Hernández, McLean, Buendía; Pukki.

Sheff Utd XI: D Henderson; O’Connell, Egan, Basham; Stevens, Fleck, Norwood, Lundstram, Baldock; Mousset, McGoldrick.

Newcastle XI: Dúbravka; Willems, Dummett, Fernández, Clark, Manquillo; Saint-Maximin, Hayden, Shelvey, Almirón; Joelinton.

Southampton XI: McCarthy; Bertrand, Bednarek, J Stephens, Cédric; Redmond, Ward-Prowse, Højbjerg, Djenepo; Ings, Long.

I need community advice please? Someone in my mini-league (consisting of over 50 players), who is a very capable player (finishes mainly in the top 3% at least, every year, for years), has introduced for the first time 'a relative' to the league, his wife. However, the wife has no previous in FPL, and is already sitting in the top 10k. What this chap is doing, is clearly running two teams. The mini-league first prizes are a couple of thousands of pounds etc.

Is this bad form from this person. Should I send out a group email point-blank accusing the person of running two teams and ask for the 'wife' team to be withdrawn?

Or am i just being a big baby? It instinctively feel wrong what he's doing (you can see the two teams off-set each other for two different strategies etc).

    THANK YOU

Were the rules clear from the outset that only one team was allowed per person? Is there money on the line? Does anyone know the wife personally?

What were the rules stated beforehand? As it's a cash league this is unacceptable

Kick his "wife" out and kick him out for being a ****

Send an email to all and confirm this type of behaviour will not be tolerated

If theres money on the line and a lot of it I would not allow close relatives to join the league in the first place. Because stuff like this always happens.

Well, I mean there was a mail at the start saying invite friends and relatives (people you know), but there was not a mail saying 'run two teams', and one could argue nor was there one saying 'not to run' two teams. But the guy has entered the other as his wife, but clearly it looks like an arbitrage play. Run two, see which one flies and go with that. Not to mention you can deploy other tactics right, to perhaps win the monthly's (we have monthly prizes in our league too).

Was about 250 to enter, so yes, there is lots of dosh up for the first 4 spots.

It just feels wrong, although I can't prove it, it's highly likely this is a cheeky play, by a very good player to win the cash (greed does funny things).

Yes Demba , thanks, I feel this way. Also FPL Rules per-se state one team entry only anyway.

Tbh, is it not possible that he just gives his wife advice? If she knows very little about fpl and they chat together he might give her advice abput which players to get and who to captain etc. Just a thought

Then her team should be fairly similar to the husband's

Yes it's similar, but the teams have different Midfield strategies, one is say Man City heavy, the other Liverpool, that way both teams cover off many of the other teams in the league right (indicating a two-team strategy).

      So Ruth didn't retire afterall.

Just delete the tw*t. I wouldn't even waste any more time. Infact id delete both teams if it's a cash league. If it wasn't i doubt id care about it at all

Yeah same, a non-cash leauge, I have no interest in how many teams you might enter. But a lumpy cash league is different.

um, both of my kids have teams and have since age zero. The 7 year old now makes the captain choices and inputs on transfers, and the 3 year old pays zero attention. My intent is to fully hand them the keys when they're old enough, and then they'll have a season history all the way back. [Except the 7 year old's first 3 seasons got deleted by FPL when they did a purge of underage players a few years back if they couldn't contact their parents, and they didn't use to collect a parental email, so they just wiped him]. I see nothing wrong with this.
That said - neither of these kids teams play in any cash leagues, so that part of your situation is not applicable...

My missus has joined our league this season and has never played before. She’s winning and beating two dozen of us veterans by a fair margin. I know everyone is assuming I’m helping her but I’m genuinely not - in fact loads of her successful calls seemed mad to me. It’s the year of the casual in many ways, I reckon. Anyway, bear this in mind before you accuse him of anything - maybe just ask him straight.

You have no legal basis in which to ask for the withdrawal of the wife’s team.

But do the FPL rules not state, that we only can enter just one team right? Is it not implicit that in a cash mini-league, you don't play two teams (one under the auspice of a relative....even though I can't prove it, just seems that it's really not the wife playing).
